What type of battery does it use and does it have a 10-year battery life? Is the battery rechargable, and if so, how?

If it needs to be replaced, it can be. A CR123 lithium battery serves as its power source, which can also be found in most stores and online vendors. Despite being in a closet for almost five years now, My old battery is still strong enough to run it.

There is a LRF2-type device The OCR2B standard This product is only designed for indoor use. Temperature range for this device is 32 °F to 104 °F (0 °C to 40 °C). The manufacturer would not recommend using this device for outdoor applications because of this reason.

How does it perform if there is enough light inside the room? Does it keep from detecting occupancy if there is enough light?

Lutron sensors are mounted on my wall as well as on the ceiling in 360 degrees It has a switch where you can turn on and off the light sensitivity Although I do not recall it being on the ceiling mount version, here is the installation manual that indicates that it is. The Caseta SmartBridge Home (or any other dimmer or switch utilizing the platform) does not work with this device
3/5

In single-serve applications, I've found them to be highly effective. One of the locations Currently it is off-installations, but I am attempting to sync it together with my overall system Having installed a Caseta / SmartBridge system at the house, only to learn from Lutron technical support that the controls will not work with the device. In the caseta division of Lutron, I was supposed to hear back from their general tech dimmer/controls divsion, to finally confirm or amend the above conclusion. They never did, however. In spite of this, I found Lutron's tech support to be better than other device manufacturers, even better than the support I received working on the electric supply for a $2500 Whirlpool range that I had installed Buying Whirlpool is a bad decision (support is horrible).

This is easier to use with switches than with My initial plan had been to install this with a dimmer switch (mainly because the standard on/off switch is hard to come by)
5/5

I got it to work - thanks But it could never be relied on to stay consistent as to what brightness setting it would be on-- basically you never knew what would happen. It would trigger sometimes and not at other times. My dimmer had been causing several problems for several months, so I decided to replace it with a standard on/off switch anyway I have been using this method since then, with no problems. Recently, I picked up some more to use in our vault at work - I just need to get them to work. As well, those are working perfectly with a standard on/off switch as well. In case you are looking for a quality wireless occupancy sensor solution, this is the sensor to choose If you use it with a dimmer, I recommend not pairing it with that.

It is possible to configure it in different ways
5/5

This is AWESOME! If the Caseta does not come paired with the Hub, it will work with it. This is how I use it in my bathroom with a Maestro wireless dimmer. There are ON and OFF switches on the unit. There are so many configuration options when you combine the dimmer and sensor. soft on and fade feature is very popular with the lady of the house. It has been mounted to close the door so someone in the hallway will not trip over it. If we walk past the door in the hallway, it is still a bit too sensitive. My plan is to cover the sensor a bit with white tape from Home Depot.

Motion sensing at a distance is a perfect application
5/5

Here are my observations during my walk It seems unnecessary to use a motion-activated light switch outside the closet since it has a light switch outside and is off the bathroom. Whenever you are in the bathroom, the closet light will always be on. This device detects motion just before you enter the closet so that you don't know it is there until you do. I found the installation to be relatively simple and the program worked well. If you purchase the motion sensor and the switch separately, you will need to buy the compatible light switch as well. The only downside is the expense of the motion sensor and the switch. My problem was solved with this product although it was not inexpensive.

This method appears to be quite effective
4/5

With the Maestro Wireless Dimmers, I bought this to monitor the lights in my kitchen/dining room. I love the auto on / off features of the sensor, and it is very easy to use. A subtle movement of about 14 feet away can be sensed by the device. I tried to turn off the sensor, tape off the area, and reduce the sensitivity, but no matter what I did, the ceiling vent would not turn on in the mornings when it was hot. I tried all sorts of methods to achieve this, but I could not make it work. The L2 I ordered turned out to be great The OKLB - We recommend getting a WH wall sensor instead, since it can sense motion up to 30 feet away and looks better than this ceiling mounted sensor. This is what I re-did This sensor can be used in another room now and it works just fine. The documentation and telephone support people at Lutron were very helpful but they all told me that you cannot have the occupancy turn a dimmer on to a certain level when it is If this is not true, begin by setting the dimmer to the level you want, and then push and hold the tester button on the dimmer until the light I am very pleased with the Lutron wireless products and am happy to see the light turn on at the level I set instead of full blast. Well done, Lutron, on making such a great set of wireless products, I am extremely pleased!.

It is useful and aesthetic, but you need to know what you are buying
4/5

The sensors I have are excellent. On the market, they are the most beautiful ceiling sensors. It has a small profile and is easy to attach with Velcro and hooks To find the perfect spot, you have to test Install the cover plate on the ceiling and secure the business part on the cover plate with screws. This application installs in no time at all! Depending on how long you wish to set the timeout, you can choose from I agree (yes, I have 1 minute. It was added to the fine print on the last day. The sensitivity can also be adjusted offers vacancy mode (meaning you can press the switch to turn the lights on and off Once the motion sensor has not detected motion for a period of time, the lights turn off). The fact that it is wireless also means you do not have to run wires through your ceiling, and that you can move the sensor or repurpose it throughout the year. In the Maestro and RadioRA-toolkit, these tools work with a majority of them This kit includes two wireless switches/dimmers that are easy to pair. Their response times are pretty good. despite the fact that we have forced hot air heating, they seem fairly resistant to being triggered by that. above the refrigerator they did not work. When the refrigerator turned on, it turned on as well. If you have a large room, you can have two panels, or one shaped like an 'L'. There is one thing I would like to have back is dimmed lights that are on at the last level I set. To activate your lights, you can do one of two things The touch plate or occupancy sensor can be used to initiate the process. As for the former, it does exactly There is a problem with motion detection it always turns on the brightest light setting. two machines are running at the same time The lights came on when I tapped the touch plate, which is a feature that allows the lights to be turned completely *)

My warning is actually aimed at the wireless switch or dimmer that you plan to Lutron has been an absolute nightmare for me. There are no longer any guidelines for which switches can be used with which lighting systems, according to them. (FYI, there is a customer support number available, and they are willing to assist. RadioRA system The system is divided into two parts. Anyhow, Lutron makes a ton of different kinds of Make sure you buy only what you need.
