I like it a lot
5/5

Wall switch products are still too thick, it's shameful to have such thick switch products We are able to use this switch with no issues. My girlfriend is unable to turn off the light in the garage, so we have it there. It's safe to assume almost everyone reading this is nodding with familiarity when they hear that sentence. The switch is mounted outside the inner door of the garage. As soon as I enter from the house, I see the light come on. When you open the door and peek in, the light will turn on only if you step inside. You can do things like check if the big doors are closed or if the big doors are locked. It works best for us to shut off the power for a half hour.

With the switch off, low energy use is achieved
5/5

My previous sensor switch stopped working, so I replaced it with this GE model. worked well, was easy to install, and I could set it for whatever time I wanted it to automatically start. The GE sensor switch was selected because I researched several brands, and this one had one of the lowest current draws when it was There was another brand that had a slight price advantage yet was much more expensive. In my opinion, GE is the most cost-effective.

The installation process is a bit tricky, but the results are Automatic controls are one of the things I like most about these switches
5/5

Thankfully, I found them to be easy to program once I figured them out (I have 4 of them). They are doing a good job of It has an "auto"function that can be set by time OR by sunrise and sunset (I use sunrise and sunset). It has a "random" function that will adjust the on off time a little earlier or later each day so they do not appear "timed. ". As well as permitting you to program your current sunrise and sunset times, daylight savings and roughly how far north or south you are, depending on the timing of your sunrise and sunset.
The other two of the two are two of four, so they fit neatly in my boxes. These are a little more complex to wire than a typical wall switch, so you should be aware of that. The non-profit sector is my field of expertise The limit of my electrical skills is to figure out which wires go with which switch. I am an electrician by profession, but I have no electrical skill. There never was a 3-way switch arrangement for any of my 4, and that may have been a little too much for me to handle. The load and line can be correctly determined in existing wiring, but it may take some time. It can be easy to stay neutral as well as to stay on the You need to be careful. Make sure you can solve this problem. Be sure to follow all safety precautions.

The product works as described
5/5

Installing this device is relatively simple. In order to fit behind a switch of sufficient depth, there must be adequate space. It could be an issue if you have a box with several wires going in and out. I found programming to be easy, but I found instruction to be a little vague. It's essential to enter the dusk and dawn times, and for them to work you have to set a program with dusk as the start time and dawn as the end time. That is a great insight to have once you realize it. While this setting gives you the option to adjust the time of dawn and dusk for your region, it seems to offer no additional benefit. We would like to be able to adjust dawn dusk times to increase as the days get shorter or longer as the days get shorter. Though it has a DST setting, you will need to manually change the dawn and dusk times as the days get longer.

I like the ease of use and the design
5/5

They're easy to program and they look great. As part of my outside lighting project, I decided to have the lawn lighting (and Christmas lights) controlled remotely from inside my home. A ladder allowed me to run the wires through the attic and down the hallway wall. It looks great to have two of these side by side at the end of the hall. My favorite feature is that I can easily turn off/on the lights by just pushing the bottom panel when I am on my way down the hall. A very good design decision was made here. The light is on all the time, and it's not necessary to find the right button.

The timer is decent, but the instructions are terrible
3/5

I installed it without too much difficulty. To get it to fire up, I had to switch the line and load alignment once. There is absolutely nothing to be gained from the included instructions. After three days of searching online for advice on how to program, I found that it helped. Additionally, the online advice doesn't match the model 100% with the one you buy because the company changed the settings of the buttons Although the concepts are different, they are I received the following model when I ordered it Programmes 1 through 7 refer to the seven days of the week, and they MUST be activated in order for the timer to function. You can set the timer to work great once you've got it set, but getting there is very problematic. The clock is controlled by a computer that is programmed daily to calculate the times of dusk and dawn according to the calendar and to compensate for daylight savings time. In the case of a power outage, we'll see how things go- A small backup battery appears to be present in the device Can't tell from a picture.

I found the installation to be challenging but overall it works well
4/5

A timer switch such as this one functions well and has more scheduling options than you could As well as looking good, it is well designed. In spite of expectations, installation turned out to be more challenging. There is a screw for the ground wire positioned in a way that makes connection very difficult. The screw cannot be removed, as there is not enough space for the wire to be routed around it. My struggle with the screw lasted nearly a half hour, but in the end I managed to squeeze the wire into the screw.

The switch is a cute little thing
5/5

When I was able to figure out how to program this product, it performed well. The first night I forgot to do a step, but as soon as I figured it out, it worked wonderfully. The only thing I would recommend to them is to make their programming instructions a little clearer. As an example. This is first, this is next, and this is last. Aside from that, I found the product to be very reliable and of extremely high.
