How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

The motion sensors with the switch detect occupancy and vacancy so that the lights are automatically turned on or off when necessary
Sensor switches that use passive infrared (PIR) reduce the number of instances when they are triggered by movement that is not anticipated
The universal wiring design of the motion sensor wall switch facilitates easy installation because the hot and load wires are interchangeable.
Vacancy sensor modes (Auto ON, Auto OFF) and occupancy sensor modes (Manual ON, Auto OFF) let you customize the sensor to suit your needs fixed time delays 15 sec (Test), 5 min, 10 min, 20 min, 30 min adjustable range.

Questions & Answers

Using the off and on switch is like using a standard In other words, if you turn it on, it won't automatically shut off when you leave, right?

In that case, I can simply hit the off button and it will remain off even if I later return to the room. When you turn on the lights, they will continue to turn off after you leave the room, even though you turned them on. The auto off feature cannot be turned off no matter what I do, even after hitting A defective switch may be to blame.

The light seems to be on in occupancy mode. Is it possible to turn it off manually?

If the light is on in occupancy mode, you can manually turn it off. Lights will automatically turn on again when motion is detected, but the sensor will take about 5 minutes to reactivate before it detects motion again. Lights can also be turned back on manually at any time, however.

Are led bulbs (10 watts or less) and fluorescent tubes (without humming) compatible with this?

LEDs are used to power it. Do you have less than I cannot think of a good reason for not doing it. The 90W power supply does not flicker or hum in mine. Dimming the dimmer on a lower quality LED lamp usually causes LEDs to hum. A toggle switch is just that. A dimmable lamp is not available. The hum will most likely not be present.

The best automatic light switch with manual override I have ever seen! The following cases relate to the automated occupancy switch in the hallway entrance of the home theater*br>*br>USE This setting automatically turns on the lights when the guest enters the room, giving them enough time to settle down before turning them off (I set this to 1 minute)
5/5

In order to prevent the lights from turning on when passing this hallway without entering the room, I covered a portion of the sensor in white electrical tape. A CATALOGUAL ANALYSIS OF WHY THIS TYPE OF SWITCH IS APPLICABLE It's the best switch for me because I can quickly turn the switch off when I get up and leave the room so that I don't disturb others who are used If you do not manually switch this switch back to auto mode, it will remain off permanently. In the same way, I can set the system to keep the lights on even when there is no motion in the hallway if I am entertaining without watching a movie. I'll start with THE Any type of lighting (CFLs, LEDs, Incandescents) will work great with this. Leviton PR150- amplification amplifier Since the 1LW Motion Sensing Light Switch that this was based on causes many LED lights to flicker in the automatic mode, I am replacing all of these with the TOPGREENER version in my house. It was impossible to find a name brand (Leviton or Luxtron) switch with manual override control while also functioning with any kind of I want to dwell on the bad There seems to be a little bulky ugly to the industrial design. There is a passive IR sensor protruding from the wall which gives 180deg visibility, but it does not look as modern and nice as the Lutron Maestro MS-38 The TOPGREENER brand appears to be of good quality, but I'm not familiar with the brand. I use the OPS motion switches where there is a lot of traffic or in locations where I want reliable control without manual intervention. IMPORTANT NOTE All printed manuals will be eliminated in an effort to go paperless. I am going to attach scanned copies of their paper manual with the review since TOPGREENER does not appear to publish a PDF manual on their website. My Amazon account does not allow me to attach PDFs, so I am uploading PNG files.

Watch warranty claims if you have a Motion Detection switch that just works
4/5

The WiFi controlled switches that I purchased are part of my home automation project that will allow me to operate the There was a time when I wanted to install one of these WiFi switches in one closet, but the benefits outweighed the costs. A programmable switch was also on my list, but this one proved to be a better option for this particular There was a building boom in 2014 when I built my house. In addition to a fuse box filled with AFCI (arc fault) circuit breakers, there is a neutral wire in the box as well. was hoping to avoid another break in the connection, so I thought it best to add another cable to the neutral bundle already in the box. I found the solution in this passive infrared (PIR) switch without a neutral wire. In summary, I like these points * No neutral is needed, but a ground wire is required * Line/Load are interchangeable - If there is a neutral, it can be terminated by a ground wire This is feet. The time on the device can be adjusted -* The time frame varies from 30 seconds (test mode) to 30 minutes
* No minimum wattage is required The room is illuminated by two (2) LED bulbs of 8 watts each. This low-wattage application does not flicker or strobe. * * * This switch can also be operated manually. * * * The manual switch button is located at the bottom of the switch. * * * The included switch plate works but is smaller than the original switch plate. Provides better covers for the drywaller's mistakes. * Wire nuts and switch plate screws are included*. * I do not use Vacation Mode. The occupied mode is a nice feature - I use it all the time. Once I leave the closet, I'll turn it on), and then I'll exit the It is easy to turn off the light without having to think about it. In truth, it is a great To set up I forgot! * I will install one in the guest closet upstairs in a very short time. Another review mentioned how this switch uses more power than other PIR switches simply because of its idle wattage, or referred to it as the "Vampire Effect. " In the review, the reviewer went into great detail about how much power was consumed in various scenarios. This reviewer has a valid point, but to drone on about it for a half page with flawed calculations is too much. This is inevitable, but it is not excessive. The same can be said for any WiFi or WiFi Hub switches that are activated remotely through a web browser. While it may add a few dollars to your electric bill, I regard that as a cost of being able to have access to a reasonably priced PIR switch that I don't have to activate each and every time I enter It looks like this switch is a true set-and-forget piece and I won't worry about the nominal increase in current draw at idle when it is on. I wanted to add one final point to better clarify and bring attention to the practicality of what we do in the real world Among the $20 was a $20 bill. There is a $40 difference in price between this web-activated switch and the one I was going to install. Other reviewers based their calculations at $1 on flawed calculations. As a result of the Vampire Effect, the additional cost in electricity usage from this specific switch will lead to me losing money in less than 20 years if this switch is not replaced or upgraded. If you do the math, you will find this to be the cold financial reality. Having an excessive amount of something In your application, you are the only one who decides whether or not power is necessary. It is probably best for you to keep your traditional on/off switch if minor vampire issues are a concern for you. This and other remote activation switches aren't for you, so you should avoid the There is only reason why a PIR switch should be installed in rooms that you enter with your hands full. There is no doubt in my mind that this switch would be beneficial. I was just notified by email on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 I am double-dipping on this switch and purchased a second one being the same as the first.

I love it when things work the way they're supposed to! What makes this device so great is the fact that it works! Installing this unit is really not difficult, but you will have to give the unit a little bit of attention since it is quite Especially when paired with the necessary wiring connectors, it can create a cramped space
5/5

My garage was equipped with two fluorescent light fixtures controlled by the remote. As if it was an automatic action, I can walk into the garage having something with me, and the light will automatically come on. However, there was one "downside" - the face plate that covers the control panel (that controls time, range, and ambient) did not come with my unit. In more than one case, this did not detract from the functionality of the unit or its appearance (although it might have damaged its appearance if it had been in a different location). EDIT

The cover plate was sent to me after Topgreener read my review. As a result of the great product they offer, they also have excellent customer support. And Kudos to Topgreener for that.

After the three minutes of warming up, the computer ceased to work I'm going up
3/5

" The TDOS5 is available to me The J model is simple to use. I installed the kit according to the The switch went through its "three minute warm-up" after I turned the breaker back on - once I had it wired up and the breaker turned on again As the overhead light switched on and off during the "up" routine, we observed it for a prolonged period of time. In the winter, once the temperatures are high In our tests, we found that the motion sensor worked as expected after we had completed the set-up. Once the dial had been moved from TEST to 5 MIN mode, we reset it. Once we had pushed the button to turn the light off and on a few times, we turned it back on again. That was the last time it worked. There is no way for the light to be turned on by motion, nor can it be turned on manually by pushing the In the hopes of causing the light switch to "reboot" by turning off the breaker for a few minutes and back on, I tried the power cycle multiple times but didn't get any results. As soon as I turned the TIME dial back to TEST mode, I thought that maybe it has to be in the original setting position for it to reboot or go through the three minute warm-up procedure. Let's repeat the up cycle. I also tried that, but it didn't work. It may be possible to resolve this issue here if you manage to get it up and running My only option is to return it if it's not what I expected.
