After a couple of weeks, I bought the first one and it did the same thing. I bought a new one a few months ago, and it is working well
If you can afford its low price, give it a shot. Not spec'd to operate at such low voltage, but it's low price makes it worth trying out. You might be able to do it.
Make sure you double check your wiring for polarity.
According to the specification sheet that came with it, there was no minimum load specified. The relay is either open or closed, but it doesn't have any external switches.

Wouldn't it be great if someone thought about mounting once in a while? A pair of these was used in my laundry room to automatically turn on the lights when the door was opened. Now that they have been working for over a month, I can't imagine anything better. In the past, there has never been an issue with the performance of these, even with probably 10A or so of current flowing through them. As the door to a room was being viewed, I used two of them in parallel to monitor each hand. I wanted to make the lights start shining as soon as I entered the doorway since one enters through the garage. Since they have a pretty good sideways look, one of them came on as soon as I entered In accordance with the timers, the lights stay on for as long as they're not counting down It is available in wired OR (wireless switch). I figured out how to use the countdown timer The maximum is about one minute, which I set as the minimum. I just needed to connect the two and I was up and running in no time- It is easy to make connections with the attached connectors. In general, they work much better if they are soldered If you are inserting the wire, tin it first). Attached are some instructions that are a little more complicated than they need to be, but if you are hooking up LEDs, you shouldn't have any problem. A Not-So-Simple Account of What Is Going On What a good product! Why, oh why, can't manufacturers get it through their heads that these things have to be mounted? It must have been a lot harder to add a little bit of plastic so it would fit into the decora style cover, and not to mention a standard junction box? The sensor was adhered to the inside of the box cover by cutting a hole into the cover and gluing it. The system works great, but take care - There is a bit of a tolerance problem with the spacings. *This has worked great, and makes a nice feature in the laundry room *(See pic) If you want to mount, you're on your own,.
In the application I am using this motion sensor, it works wonderfully Several spots in the house have night lights that automatically turn on at night. The underside of a side table in our entry, for example, had about a foot of LED strip attached to the underside, then I positioned the sensor so that as I made my way down the hall, the floor would light up. A much better plug than a tiny one A nightlight can be found in most houses. In this mode, the LEDs are lit for about a minute. (The ) and turn it When the unit is switched on and off, it is completely silent. It is not possible to click the -This is the hardwire style, so it is handy for LED short ends that do not have plugs. -Be aware that the green wire terminal must be removed from the sensor body in order to connect to the sensor. The circuit can be wired up more easily this way. It is also possible to note the polarity markings on the sensor by pulling the green plug/terminal. (Alternatives are available with coax plugs which sit between the power supply and the plug. LED strip equipped with a driver. With a motion sensor like this, I turned on the LEDs as soon as I entered the dark room from the garage by attaching LED strips to the underside of the upper cabinets. I find it very useful. The same thing has been done in the kitchen where the coffeemaker is located. As we approach the cabinet that contains the filters, creamer, and sugar, the interior of the cabinet and the counter below begin to glow.
The exterior compartments of my motorhome will be equipped with this sensor. As far as I recall, the battery switch turned on the positive side of the power, which kept the existing common ground the compartment light wiring had. When I realized that the light switch could not turn off the lights due to the switch being flipped, I realized that the unit actually switches the negative side, with the positive side hooked up I had to rewire it in order for it to That's a strange way to build this device as long as the lights you are connecting do not have the negative side already connected to ground you should have no.
It doesn't seem to be possible to wire this so that when not in use, it will shut off. The light dims when motion is detected, then turns on when motion is detected again. The use case I have in mind involves 12V landscape lights rather than LED strips. The + and - sides of the line During installation, be sure to load the + and - sides You are welcome to join in too. Another way I tried was to remove one load lead and tie it to both lines. I'm not sure why I'm left with a light that is always on, and I seek help for this product but cannot locate a company to contact.
A pair of them were bought and returned. We ordered two items, and the first stopped working within a few days after setting it up. The second did not work from Four for $12 is a better deal because it is likely that only one of four will work. If you are lucky, The good news is that I was able to return both for a full refund, so if you order, make sure you try them out as soon as possible to be able to return them.
According to the description, it works well. There are a couple of reasons why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars This is *br1. Neither the sensitivity nor the resolution of the sensor can be altered. I get tripped by it from about 22 feet away when I use my setup. Observation 2. Because there is no arrow or something else to represent what the delay is set on, there is no way to tell what the delay is. 1. 2. 3. The dial for setting the delay is not easy to turn. 3. **** 4. Despite the fact that the green connector is nice to have, it is bulky enough to be cumbersome to hide. Despite being not as small as other ones, this sensor stands out more than other smaller ones I have used.
The unit was set up in my coat closet to replace a broken one, however when it was installed next to my cold garage, it never turned off, even with the It seemed as though there was just enough warmth escaping under the door to keep it on. You might be able to get away with using it in an area that doesn't have a lot of temperature gradient.
The labeling was not visible after it had been mounted, so I labeled it myself during installation. It works as advertised and is a good price. I used it in conjunction with a dimmable led lighting strip to illuminate the basement stairs. I like the way it looks.
