Questions & Answers

Does this work on the European continent?

Europe is different from the U.S. in terms of voltage. I would think that as long as the voltage is between 110 and 277 volts there would be no If you try to do anything more than that, you are likely to have no success. Leviton is the best place to start.

What is the purpose of a neutral line?

There is no truth in any of the other answers. I have installed two of them and the manual that ships with it indicates that it is powered via the ground wire. The video posted here on amazon also shows the system being powered this way.

Can you tell me what the warranty is It stopped working for me. ?

It states in the instruction manual that the warranty is for 5 years.

The ambient light sensor is difficult to adjust
3/5

I bought the device to replace the motion sensor in the water closet because of two reasons. 1). I wanted an ambient light sensor and 2). I wanted a 30 second delay time (instead of a 5-minute delay from the There are no problems with the delay timer, but setting the ambient light sensor is difficult to get it to work at night but not in the daytime. It might be my application that is causing the issue, and I added a star to reflect that. I was able to install and adjust all the settings well but I just couldn't find a setting that allowed the ambient light function to work well either it wouldn't come on at night or it would come on during the day. The adjustment screw only needed to be changed by a few degrees. Even if it isn't worth $30, I probably won't be sending it back and will let it turn on in the daytime and nighttime.

There is high occupancy in high end properties
3/5

Is it possible to have a motion sensor that is less feature-rich? I have updated! It is also known as a Fortunately, we have had a occupancy sensor installed in our garage for years, which makes the lights turn on when you arrive home. After longer and longer use, it stopped working, so I scoured the internet for a replacement. NB Please take note of the following I will be reviewing specific features that I use in this product review. There are a lot of Plus, Amazon is giving away free A motion is associated with this. It is a nice touch to have the occupancy sensor work. This timer has an internal relay, so it can handle a lot of load. A neutral wire is not required, just a hot wire and a ground wire We're really happy with how this worked with our fluorescent lights in our garage, now we're using them with LED Advertisements are available There is a voltage range of 120-277V, Advertisements are available The 800W light bulb will last for approximately 15 hours A 120V incandescent light bulb with a current rating of 67A. Advertisements are available I am using a 1200W power supply The voltage is 120V and the current is 10A This is the 2270W series, part number 7271. Luminaires with fluorescent lighting require 10A, 277V. Advertisements are available The 1/4 horsepower motor has a driving force of A 120V power supply is eight amps. Advertisements are available The warranty is for 5 years. The cons are as follows Please note that With a price of $32, this is expensive. The price I paid was 99 when I purchased mine. There is a $10 to $15 difference between colors other than white! How is this possible? It's not true* A time delay of 30 seconds or 10, 20, 30 minutes is allowed, not more! You may not set the time between 30 seconds and 60 seconds Would you mind waiting for a bit? Please note that It is not possible to permanently turn on or off the controlled lights! Starting the timing cycle is as simple as pressing the switch. In the case where the time delay is set to 30 seconds, the computer will remain in the switched state for that length of time. This is true whether the system is in an off state or an In closing, I would like to say the following The reason I purchased this motion switch is that it has a higher power rating since I have so many fluorescent light tubes (now upgraded to LED lights) in my garage. This device has only two major shortcomings low timeout delay and inflexible input configuration The lack of a manual switch for switching the power on and off. A workaround for this is to wire a switch next to the motion sensor, so that I can turn it on/off manually by switching it on/off (see The motion sensor is bridged by the room light switch, so I can use the room light switch to manually operate the lights when the motion sensor is turned off (with the added switch). With this workaround, I am able to work with the old Leviton motion sensor that this redesigned switch does not have. Previously, there was an internal manual switch in the unit I replaced. There was full manual control with that switch. Apparently, in "building a better mousetrap", the off function was removed from this device, as it was an essential part of the device. I'm updating (

. April 9, 2017*This motion detector has been working perfectly for over 6 months now. As long as it is kept within limits. I tested this again today and it is still working great! Having decided to raise my star rating from 2 to 3, I decided to use it for my product reviews.

There are plenty of great devices in this category It saves energy (and you won't have to spend a lot of money
5/5

There are plenty of great devices in this category This saves energy to boot. (Also, you will One of these has been located in my basement for five years, and it's consistently operated 300w worth of GU10 bulbs without any problems. With the new one I purchased, I can control 7 Philips 100w equiv LED lights. Three other fixtures have also been without issue due to the bulbs. One thing I do not like about this game is that the tiny shutters that narrow the FOV were not In order to prevent the living room sensor from being triggered while walking into the kitchen, I had to cut and stick a piece of white electrical tape on the right side of the sensor. The rest of the story is this This is a great device. I wish Leviton would make GFCI outlets and occupancy sensors bundled together so I could have one in my bathrooms.

The instructions were torn and some parts missing
3/5

I went to the website and watched the install video and realized the device did not indicate Leviton on it, fired up the google machine and keyed in the numbers found on the device and was routed to a Chinese This is no surprise, as I did not install that one, I went before to the local ACE, got what I needed and installed that one. This note is only being written now that I am cleaning my workbench and I found this device. There is a lot of counterfeit stuff floating around these days, which is nuts.

Lighting products such as this one work with LEDs
5/5

When using an LED fixture with a motion sensor, this is the device you will need to use. Attempted to use 4 other Auto sensors with the LED, but all were ineffective. Even the off position of LED fixtures bleeds out a small amount of current, which is insignificant for an incandescent bulb, but it is much more noticeable for the LED fixture During the day and at night, it stayed on. For an LED fixture, I contacted levington and they recommended this product. There is no problem with it. Wings can also be added to restrict the field of activation, making your application more personalized.
