Questions & Answers

Thanks. I am considering using it with IPS15 but I am also considering having the lights automatically turn on BOTH at the top and at the bottom of the stairs. Can I do this?

The intention of this document is to assist users in understanding The remote must be on remote switch, so no. You are right to think that this remote is for the primary controller, but you have to choose the version that is auto on auto-switching. Switches on and off for both the main controller switch and its remote counterpart. All of them look similar, so it is a bit

I'm confused as to why IPVOR just won't work I have an ilz leviton switch that is powered on but not turning on the ?

Use only IPVOR if you do not have any other program This is not compatible with the ILZ device as it is a REMOTE device that you can use with the IPV15 or the IPS15. A typical switch would be either of those last two. A IPS15 is recommended if you want the light to turn on/turn off automatically. It would be better to go with the IPV15 if you want to manually turn them on but have them automatically turn off. setting up a three switch configuration, you might want to use the IPS15 and the IPVOR-G It is Ilz. It's my job to make kitchens or basements look more welcoming when you first enter. Motion will be sensed by either unit, and POOF will result. There are lights in your house!

The circuit/switch used for my fluorescent ceiling fixtures has several fixtures. Do you know if it's compatible with your ?

Units of this type can only be used together with units of the IPS15 and IPV15 series. IP15 is the component actually connected to the circuit, and it is rated for 1800W incandescent bulbs and 600W fluorescent/LED bulbs. You can use it if the total current draw of all your fluorescent ceiling fixtures is less than 600W, assuming that you also purchase

Can I skip purchasing this ipvor if I only need motion sensing on one switch of a 3way? Is the ips15 compatible with the 3way standard switch and can I skip the ?

As I look at the wiring diagram options, I believe that no. The IPS06 shows connection with a 4-wire system A way switch is not included on the IPS15. Leviton would be the best place for me to confirm this. Ask the customer service/technical support team for a definitive answer at www.com.

During each trip up and down the stairs, a switch controls the lighting
5/5

In conjunction with the IPS15 I use the IPV0R on both ends of a straight staircase (3 ways). These worked the best after I failed with Legrand (cannot use two for the same reason), and also read that Lutron can't handle two at the same time. Because of the above reasons, it is not possible to use two IPS15s, so taking a remote side to control the IPS15 is a better option than two IPS15's competing There is no load bearing switch on the IPV0R, it is just a remote, so it cannot be installed at the line side, and will not work if placed there. The remote sends the signal rather to another load bearing switch at the line side, the IPS15. The following tips are a good start The first point. have a voltage tester in the form of a pen. Observation 2. In general, use your pliers, screwdrivers, wire nuts, and a stripper if no pliers can do the job. 1. 2. 3. Find out how to find the Hotwire between two switches by watching YouTube videos. In this case, the IPV0R will be installed on the Load side. Next, you need to determine the Line wire on the other switch side for where you are going to 3. **** 4. Make sure you have white Neutral Wire twisted in the switch box, and to tap from that wire you must get stranded 14 gauge wire (and a larger wire nut). In order to connect the switch, we will use this wire as the neutral. This is *br5. Identify your wires by labeling them. So long as you have the white neutral connected and have lines and loads correctly configured, the switches will be powered on (even if the runners or travelers are incorrect. As I finished the installation and turned it on for my test, I was surprised that I couldn't get it to auto-start. Both the manual switching and the automatic off worked as expected. Please try the following solution if you experience this issue (I had to dig up a Leviton forum post from four years ago since the instructions did not mention it). If you keep the Light Sensitivity dial set at 0, make sure you don't miss out on any of the fun. That may seem like what you want, but it doesn't work like that. With this, the IPS15 is put into only vacancy mode. That is, you will be able to auto-disconnect it, but not auto-reconnect it. I was able to use auto on when I set it to 1! It is better to keep it at 1 than 3 since it will be more sensitive in the dark!.

I had no issues with it on either end of my staircase
5/5

The Leviton IPV0R-A I bought has the following features I am going to use the 1LZ and the IPS15 together to build In my design, I wanted a motion detector to work on either end of the staircase, and to turn off in less than a minute after no motion was I was very pleased with the performance of this pair. Having installed IPV0R, I have followed the instructions on how to use it Power is delivered to 1LZ at the location where the live line runs. "BLK" terminal consists of this live line and another traveler that connects to a second box. The transferred live line was connected to the "BLK" at the other end. In order to reduce the duration of the IPS15 to the minimum, I dialed it down to It is perfect. Years ago, I searched for a solution to this problem.

I am pleased with its performance and it works well
5/5

A three-way switch is included in this package A switch system with four ways. Follow the diagram and make sure that the wires are connected properly to get a perfect connection. I didn't have any complaints with it, though it did what I wanted. To install both switches, it took us about half an hour.

I like it a lot
4/5

The app works great and does what it says, but the white face plate was missing, so I gave it a 4 out of 5. The other color that came with this product does not match the rest of the outlets in the house other than the one that came with this.

The research is worth it

Everything worked as it should have. The Leviton IPS15 was purchased at the same time A true "3-" only requires one LZ A set-up for the "way switch" Stairs leading up to the top. You can now turn on the lights regardless of where you are coming from. They will automatically shut off when you set the time. Our team really likes it! You can understand the wiring instructions if you have some knowledge about it, and there is a lot of information on the Leviton.

I found this method to work well - thanks It was not an easy task to wire
5/5

The 3 way remote I used on a stairway served as a remote for 3 directions. There is it. I found out that I needed to add another wire to the load from the bottom stair switch after studying the schematic. It appeared to work quite well after that.

The Leviton IPS15-II works great with this product One LZ
4/5

This product was purchased with the Leviton IPS15-S The 1LZ 1800 power supply is not available at this time Incandescent light bulb, 600 watts This Watt LED/CFL occupancy sensor works well with this particular LED/CFL combo. My first connections were a bit troublesome, but I got it working eventually. Now, when you open the door at the top or bottom of the stairs, the lights will automatically come on in the stairwell.
