A firecore scraper is ideal for removing grout and tiles if you need to remove something from the floor. By using the hard stainless steel blade, I am able to scrape off hard substances in an effortless manner. Grout or any stubborn stains can be easily removed from the ground with this brush. It feels as if it was made with quality just by holding it. The overall impression I have of it is great. Buying this machine might seem like a big investment, but if you work on floors a lot, it is worth the cost.
The thinset, lineloem, and VCT tiles can be removed without difficulty.
They were perfect to remove. Before you begin to use it, make sure you tighten all the screws.
It was not possible to get the screws and bolts back in because they became loose one after the other. If they provided extra screws and bolts, we would give them 4 stars. **EDIT** It was more screw and bolt than I expected. They go out of their way without demanding anything in return and I can truly appreciate their willingness to do so.
This chisel didn't work for me when I removed tile (I used a 2" bent chisel for that), but I had no problems There is a loosening of the bolts. No problems using it once, twice, and three times. When the bolts broke for the fourth time, they stopped working. After reusing shorter broken bolts for a while, one of them broke too short. To finish, I found another bolt similar in size and shape. They did send me extra bolts, but I didn't notice. The blade is really great, but the bolts are terrible.
I'm not sure if it would've been good for my floor if the tile had been installed poorly. I tried it on an 18x18 porcelain tile that was installed well and found it Other reviewers have also pointed out that the bolt comes loose frequently. Thread locker seems to help when you have it on the bolts, so try that if you intend to do it. In the end, I recommend getting a Bosch scaling chisel, rather than spending money on a cheap one. In addition to this, I also purchased the HS1910 on Amazon and was so happy I did since the little Bosch worked so.
Instead, it's designed for a large, heavy demo hammer. The chisel is so heavy that it doesn't work at all. I learned my lesson and bought a 3" scaling chisel instead. Anybody interested in one at a low price?.
