Among the three Home Series models, the 770P is the tallest. For the 770 series, it denotes the tallest. The protective cap rung cover is made to fit ALL Xtend and Climb ladders, according to the manufacturer. On my 785P, I have the same cap, and it fits perfectly. The Xtend and Climb Protective Rung Cap is the first item listed on Amazon's page for the 770P ladder, if you scroll down to see what else people bought after buying the 770P ladder.

I had a towel slung over the top of the ladder to keep it from scratching the freshly painted wall. However, securing the towel to the top proved difficult. I was relieved to discover that this rung cover not only replaced my clumsy make-up bag, but also doubled as a stairwell cover. It's a shift solution, but it's nice and tacky, so it actually improves the ladder's stability and safety. I noticed right away that the ladder felt more stable with the silicon cover because the top had some lateral frictional resistance. br>br>I'd say I wish it came standard with the ladder. However, I'm guessing they're up against a lot of shoddy knock-offs. a set of extendable ladders off the shelf.
Why isn't this a standard feature? I like the cover, but I don't like that it's an additional cost on top of the ladder price; it appears that these light duty ladders should always be used with extra protection to avoid damaging walls or gutters.
It should've been included with the ladder. Although this is a good device, I feel cheated.
This protective cover/cap keeps the metal parts of the top rung from pressing into and leaving marks on materials like drywall or painted siding, which I use my ladder for more than outside. It's a perfect fit because it's from the manufacturer. It's only been three months since I got it, but I expect it to last a long time.
Although they appear to be quite expensive for what they are, I would not be without one. They fit perfectly and protect the walls from being damaged by the hard rung caps. I'm a home inspector, and each of my ladders (785P and 760P) has one.
I'm using the ladder to get into some of the more difficult to reach areas of my RV. I'd probably leave marks or indents in the fiberglass sides of the RV if I didn't have this protector. Guys, here's a hint: my wife loves it! The ladder's collapsible design makes it easy to store in the RV's 'basement,' and it stays attached.
Telescoping ladders from a well-known brand. This is a fantastic product that fits perfectly on our Ohuhu telescoping ladder that we purchased on Amazon. Because the silicone is flexible, it easily wraps around the ladder's top rung. On the Ohuhu, it's not a tight fit, and I had no trouble getting it up to the top rung. This could probably be stretched even further to fit on any telescoping ladder.
As many others have stated, this is a nice protective sleeve that you really do need, but it is on the pricey side; however, get it so you don't damage any walls for the absolute best of all worlds. You'd have more than paid for the sleeve if that happened just once!.
