I realize it's too late to assist you, but this wedge works well on stairs. You can watch it in action by searching Pivit Ladder Tool on any of the online video sites. There are several videos available that show how to use it.
It's the first time I've ever used it on concrete tiles. If I were to do so, I would proceed with caution. The pivot grips rough surfaces well, but like a ladder, it could slip on smooth surfaces such as tiles.
They should fit on a Werner ladder just fine. They're extremely durable, and I've never had one fall out. However, when installing on extremely steep roofs or hills, you should reinforce the Pivit by placing a board or something behind it as a safety precaution.
It depends on how you're going to use it. It will take a maximum 15" width board on a steep pitch (or steep stairs), but up to a 21" board on a gentler pitch (or more ordinary stairs). You will, however, need two of these - one for each stair. one for each of the board's ends

First, let me explain why I gave the easy to use and light weight ratings "low" stars. Both of those things are fantastic! Getting this on the roof or re-installing it isn't "easy. " Because of the weight, you'll have to position it differently, but it'll be much more stable in use. I'm 69 years old, and I used this with a 4-foot stepladder to re-arrange my furniture. A steep 8/12 pitched roof is framed by a wall on one side. I wore a harness and a safety line, but they were never needed because the Pivit tool was stable and did not move while I was on the stepladder, even when hammering nails. The ribbed rubber grips on all four corners provided excellent traction, which was enhanced when I put my weight on them. I should point out that my roof shingles are brand new, so I can't comment on how well it performs with older shingles. I thought the price was a little high at first, but I'm sure their product liability insurance premiums are through the roof! It also likely saved me thousands of dollars over hiring a contractor to complete the same task.
If you're reading this, you're probably trying to figure out how to paint a section of wall above a set of stairs that you couldn't reach with a standard ladder. Here are some of the aspects of this product that I find appealing. First and foremost, I successfully painted a 20-foot section of wall over a set of stairs and survived to tell the tale. This product, on the other hand, was snug against my carpeted steps and did not slip. It has grippers on the bottom to prevent it from sliding, which I really like. It's well-made and sturdy, which gave me some peace of mind while working high up on a ladder. I considered making my own platform out of plywood and 2x4s after watching several YouTube videos, but I'm glad I went with this option instead. Yes, it's a little pricey, but you don't have many other options besides renting scaffolding or constructing your own platform.
Stairwell on the second floor. I wasn't sure if this was going to be a cheap, plastic flop when I bought it. The exact opposite is true! It's extremely durable and well-made. made. The non- Even on my slick wood floor, slip-gripping surfaces are effective. It also effectively supports the ladder's feet - While standing on the stairwell ladder, I felt steady and balanced. Painting was part of the job, particularly the edging where the wall and ceiling met. With the pivit tool and my 20-inch canvas, I was able to focus on my painting. a step ladder My husband stood by the ladder when I first started, just in case it slipped. We realized after 5 minutes that I could move the paint can from one hand to the other and go up and down the rungs with care. Other than that, normal movements would be required. Without any problems, I felt confident not having a spotter after that. Unless you're a certified professional, you shouldn't jump up and down or try some of the Cirque du Soleil acts on the ladder. However, this is a very useful tool for the average person. It was well worth the money.
It works, and I didn't die as a result of falling from the ladder.
I use it to work on my house safely on uneven ground while using an extension ladder. This product is designed to be tough and providing years of service. At first I was skeptical of the good reviews, and the price seemed a little high but after purchasing this tool% I should have bought one a long time ago.
I finally ran into a situation where none of my usual tricks for reaching high places in a stairwell worked, so I went out and bought one. The issue has been resolved - In some ways, it makes me want to smack myself for not getting one sooner. The unit is well-made and solid, and it does not give the impression that it is in any way suspect while in use. You're obviously aware of the stairway problems we face if you're looking at this product. BUY IT!.
It's amusing when you come across something after beginning a conversation with "I wish someone could make something like that. " ", and then someone else adds, "But they do!" Look! Then you come across something like this and decide to buy it in the hopes that it will deliver exactly what it promises, which it does! If you spend a lot of time working on houses (whether it's your own, family/friends' houses, or professionally), You'll want to get your hands on one of these. Given, if you only work on projects from home every now and then, this may not be the most cost-effective investment. However, we had a project at work that turned into something we'll do at a few of our homes. There were going to be a lot of stair situations, as well as high roof points that we needed access to. This item is ideal for it. br>br> It's built to last, and it appears to do its job admirably. When you're that high up on a ladder, doing something in such an unusual location, it's reassuring to know that you're not alone. I'm looking forward to using it more as it makes its way around to a few of the houses so we can duplicate things.
