I've done it, but it's a pain because you can't use the lock chain and the stabilizer is difficult to remove. It'll stay put because it's so snug. On the multi-level, the bolt-on model works better. ladder. br>br>It doesn't fit on every part of the multi-level marketing platform. ladder.
This is a crucial point. It will only fit on the top pair of rungs of my extension ladder (Xtend and Climb). This is due to the fact that the upper mounting bracket is 12 inches tall. All rungs below the top one on my ladder have the buttons to collapse that section, and the stabilizer's upper mount will not fit those rungs because of those buttons. This is a problem for me because I need the stabilizer to mount a few rungs down on my ladder in order to use it with my roof, which it won't do.

I ordered this thinking it would fit another ladder model, but after opening it and reading the instructions, I realized it's only for Werner ladders. Also, it's not clear to me that it's only meant to be used on vertical walls, not the roof, and that even small overhangs are prohibited. As a result, I gave it back to her. But there's some fee that deducts $8 from the refund for no apparent reason (I returned it boxed, wrapped, and so on, hours after I received it). Maybe it works fine on certain ladders and roofs, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're willing to lose a few dollars if it doesn't.
On a ladder, I felt very shaky. I'm a 63-year-old widow who wants her house to look nice, and this connected to my ladder in seconds, and I was up on the roof in no time. Thank you so much for everything! br>Today I did a soft wash on the back garage.
22 but I don't think it's a good idea. It'll fit on Werner's multi-tool right out of the box. MT1 stairwell 22 (same as MT-2) 22) but only on the end of the ladder's wider rungs, and it does not click all the way on. The stabilizer frame has a cotter pin at the bottom that can be used to keep it in place, but it doesn't seem to be enough. br>br>I made two changes to mine: the arms were shortened, and the frame was narrowed. I needed to shorten the arms in order to reach a problem area that was too narrow for the regular width. I used a 3/32 pilot and then a step bit to drill some 9mm holes to switch between lengths (pic). I was able to fit it on the straight narrow part of the ladder by shortening the frame, but it took hours to cut the frame 1/4" on each side with an angle grinder and a cutting wheel, smooth the edges, and clean up. Even though I attempted to contain the aluminum flakes and shards, they were all over the place. I was fine because I was wearing a full-body tyvek suit. I don't recommend narrowing the frame; it was far too much effort for so little benefit. I don't have a photo of the narrowed frame; instead, I have a before photo with cut marks. br>br>Another feature of this stabilizer is that you cannot step on it; it was not designed for that purpose. It's for keeping the ladder out of the way of a window or something like that. I suppose that's the case with most stabilizers; you're not supposed to go any higher than that. On the top rung, I have a Louisville stabilizer that rests on my shingles and allows me to access my roof. Because it doesn't block any other rungs like this one, the Louisville is a better choice for that. br>br>I'm sure you're curious as to why I gave this four stars. It's an excellent product that should perform admirably on a standard Werner extension ladder. I docked a star because the frame had tiny metal flakes/needles on it when I took it out of the box, most likely from drilling holes.
It works perfectly and allows the ladder to be placed on the roof without touching the gutters. When you've finished installing it, give it a good whack so that the locking camber engages in second gear. This isn't something it'll be able to accomplish on its own.
The money spent was well spent - and more. It took me less than 3 minutes to unpack it and get it ready for the ladder. It arrived via UPS at the same time as my worker arrived to begin work on my house's second story. It's sturdy, well-made, and easy to assemble. There are no tools or bolts required - Simply attach with a snap. My coworker declared it to be the best he'd ever used - He always has these on hand for protection. I looked over all of the "Comments" and decided that this was the best option for me. It'll start at the top of the tallest ladder and work its way down. to the briefest - in a matter of seconds It is of the highest caliber.
AY.
For the past 30 years, I've done my own house painting and repairs and have always considered purchasing one of these stabilizers. I finally got around to it, and wow, it's a complete game-changer. changer! I could immediately notice a significant improvement when I first climbed the ladder with the stabilizer in place. Even on short climbs, where I didn't think it would make a difference, I felt much more secure and stable. I like the stand-off stance because it gives me more freedom to paint when I'm at the top of the ladder, near the house's contact point. Working at full extension (28 feet for me) is far less terrifying, and standing on the ladder is far more comfortable. I really like the quick disconnect feature (which I use to store my ladders). If you plan to work from a Werner extension ladder for any length of time, do yourself a favor and get one.
The fact that they were so light bothered me at first. Crawling up light weight objects 20 feet in the air is not something I trust. They do, however, withstand the test of time. So far, there have been no issues. These work great on our 32' aluminum extension ladders that are rated for 300 pounds. The quick attach/detach feature works well, is error-free, and appears to be completely secure. These are something I'd recommend to anyone. From the perspective of a professional to that of a homeowner Especially if you're nervous while flying. Even if you don't use them, they'll help your ladder be more stable.
