This item is sold in a set of two jacks.
Yes, these ladders will support any plank up to 20" wide; however, the ladders' capacity should be at least 250 lbs per ladder. The "weakest" link in the system determines the overall strength of the system.
They do, in fact, To be clear, these Werner jacks have a long body and require three steps to install when using a ladder.
I have three ladders, a greenlee, a Louisville ladder, and a small giant multi-position ladder, and they all fit. It can accommodate rungs with a diameter of up to 2 inches. It'll fit a 20" wide board, and I like that it's lightweight and comes in a pair. I hope this has been of assistance.

These were purchased as returned items from the Amazon Warehouse and will be used when Spring arrives. Summer had arrived, and all that was missing from the hardware parts bag was a single clamp spring. Werner was contacted for new springs via email. After waiting three weeks, I received a hardware parts bag with everything I needed! WOW! (The three-week wait was not an issue. ) That is customer awareness/service. ) I highly recommend these ladder jacks because they are well-made and durable. (Nothing like the clunky/heavy steel antiques (1930s) I inherited from my father, which were originally for those historical wooden ladders. ) My initial test fittings on my Little Giant Max ladders were precise. ) Strongly recommended. br>br>I noticed that the shoulder bolts were breaking for a few of the buyers. That has never been a problem for me. All of the bolts performed as expected.

I looked to the ends of the earth for this answer, and I hope it proves useful to you if you have the same question. Yes, it will fit on either side of your ladder. The higher you climb, the more important it is to move these jacks to the outside of the ladder; if they are on the inside, the ladder will collide with the house. However, you'll need a third ladder to reach your platform or walk-in closet if you do this. You can use these jacks on the underside of the ladder to get closer to the house if you are working at a lower height. Simply climb the ladder and step onto the platform to use them in this manner. Platforms can be rented for pennies on the dollar for a week. These jacks were much wider than I thought they needed to be, but they did allow me to move my platform closer or further away from the house. The construction is extremely well-thought-out and secure. We were able to work with two people standing on the platform, but each person had to be close to the jack, which was not recommended. Alternatively, one person could be on the platform and the other on the ladder. These were used to secure lap siding, tyvek, and foam board, among other materials. After that, you can paint. It's a breeze to put together.
It was necessary to fix a soffit installation that had been done incorrectly. They were fantastic. They came as a pair, which was ideal because most places only sell singles, which you need two of to use. They were very sturdy, and I will definitely use them again. br>I've never been disappointed with a Werner purchase.
Modern aluminum is better suited to it. (Is it a coincidence that they both have fiberglass ladders? Werner is also capable of producing them. The multi ladder, on the other hand, is not suitable for use. Always be cautious, especially if you're higher than 6 feet above the ground. Pump jacks with rails and a kickboard When you're above 10 or 12 feet, fall protection is more important.
I started putting it together as soon as they arrived and accidentally broke two of the shoulder bolts with regular tightening force. Now I just need to get some replacement bolts so I can have two ladder jacks that work.
These items are always pricey and never go on sale, but I would not trust a knockoff. Werner, keep up the good work, and thank you for everything you've done so far.
If you work with ladder jacks on a daily basis, you're well aware of the situation.
The only thing is that the ladder's safety bolt should be a little longer to prevent it from falling off. It works fine, but you have a hard time putting the wing nut on.
