I believe it is possible, but not stable. Best when you're up against a brick wall. It would be at an angle on the roof and would most likely fall. Because of my age, I used the wall and a large C clamp to secure the 2 by 6 to me, with a rope attached in case it slipped or disconnected.
It should fit if it's a standard-sized ladder. The extension is compatible with the stand-off. D-shaped single ladders with rails up to 4" x 1 3/4" and single ladders with rails up to 4" x 1 3/4". rung. Ladders are held 12" away from the walls with this device. It can be adjusted across the width and spans 48" to clear most windows.
It's meant to be used on a wall, but I have vinyl and a small addition that's flat enough for a membrane roof. I can place the ladder on the facia using the end (without the gutter) and it will not cause any damage because it is covered in aluminum. To completely avoid this task, I recommend installing gutter screens.
I haven't taken any measurements, but it worked for me. In essence, I'm painting my house and I'm having some difficulties. How can I remove the gutters from the roof line while the ladder is parked on top of them? It was possible to stand away from the roof itself because of the stand off. In any case, the width is about the same as a typical American window, and the stand protrudes about 6 inches from the top. I hope you found this information useful.

Quick and easy assembly without the use of tools. To keep the ladder off the new gutters on the Werner mt-17, this was used. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. It held the ladder with enough clearance with a little adjusting, even where the roof had a low slope. It appears to be in a good state of stability. A couple of u bolts and four wingnuts (included) make for a quick tooless installation. Rubber footpads do a fantastic job of gripping the shingles. The only issue is that while positioning the ladder, it can slide up or down between the rungs (depending on the installation).
My ladder stabilizer bent the first time I used it. The aluminum used isn't strong enough to hold a 200-person load on a 24-foot aluminum ladder. The square tube came to a crashing halt. Please see the image attached.
It was kind of made into one by com. I WANTED to give it a higher rating because it was reasonably priced and appeared to be of good quality, but the hardware package lacked the two U-shaped connectors. Bolt plates are required to secure the ladder to the wall. I've been attempting to navigate Amazon for the past 30 minutes. com's "missing parts" website. I don't want to return my order; it's not that I don't like the product; it's just that two parts are missing. br>br>I wish there was a way I could have simply contacted the product's manufacturer because it's a SIMPLE fix, or at least it should be!.
I required a tool that would enable me to repair rain gutters. This device allowed me to position the top of the ladder on the roof, which was a pleasant surprise. This made it possible to reach the gutters from above, rather than having to crawl through them. With the ladder's top on the side of the house, I had to work awkwardly and precariously from below the gutter, attempting to reach around them. Working from above and thanks to the excellent ladder stability, I was able to work in complete safety. There are no regrets at all.
I had a strong and steady feeling in my body. To get the ladder out of the gutters so I could install gutter guards, I added pvc pipes to the stabilizer's legs. It worked fine, though I did have some difficulty reaching the corners due to the roof's two-foot overhang. (I slid the ladder over to the stabilizer's end as far as I could, which helped. ) When using the long 'legs,' my main concern was that the ladder would be too close to vertical, but I was very careful to stay close to the ladder and everything worked out fine.
This is a fantastic product that makes you wonder why you didn't get it sooner. The rounded rubber tips, which are superior to competitors, are my favorite feature. br>My only issue was that my old ladder, which was rated at 200 pounds, was not quite thick enough to accommodate the threads of the supplied U bolts. There are insufficient threads when using the supplied wing nuts. My workaround was to look through my garage for scrap metal pieces, and I discovered four that were the perfect thickness and length. I used flex glue to attach two of them to the stabilizer bar where it meets my ladder. To make it look nicer, place a piece of gorilla trip over the glued pieces. There are now enough threads to secure the knot. If you don't have the skills to make spacers like the ones I just described, make sure your ladder is sufficiently thick.
I felt stupid for not getting one years ago, as other reviewers have said, the first time I used it. It's a fantastic product that is well worth the money. The instructions are simple and straightforward, but they must be important because they are printed on the box and two copies are included in the bag with the u-lock. bolts, printed in the same direction on both sides (total of five copies). I found it amusing, but I believe the manufacturer made an excellent point - follow the instructions for putting the u-shaped utensil in place. bolts. br>Because I have a very light (and cheap) extension ladder, I had to add a 1x1 piece of wood the width of the ladder step to tighten the u-bolt. bolts. However, the U bolt was put through some riveted support pieces above the rung on this model ladder to prevent this. It was the best vantage point for safely gaining access to my shallowly sloping roof.
