Questions & Answers
For a roof standoff, I attach it upside down, and for a wall standoff, I attach it right side up. Of course, it sits lower on a roof with a steeper angle.
I'm not sure if the ends are made of semi-hard rubber. I don't see how those ends could do any more harm than regular ladder ends. I just used this attachment on my ladder to put up new siding and paint it without any problems, even though the siding was not vinyl.
Yes. This wing can be attached to the house or built into the roof. When going high up, this piece offers a great deal of stability and peace of mind. It's simple to put on and take off, as well as store. Best wishes to you.
That is an excellent query. I went ahead and did it. I bought it to clean the gutters because I have an overhang. Take a chance. Then, to save time later, I applied the screen protectors. Pine needles and debris will roll right off, and you'll be happy as can be.

To get above the gutter, I turned it upside down and used it as a roof standoff. As long as your feet were below the standoff, it worked well and was very stable. Of course, I didn't try to get my feet above the standoff, but I don't think it's a good idea.
It works fine with gorilla ladders, though you can't use it on the top rung because the gorilla ladders have a back metal piece that prevents it from fitting up. Use on any other rung and it will work fine; it will improve ladder stability and allow you to span windows. Great product at a reasonable price.
" We thought this would be useful for preventing our Little Giant from colliding with the gutters, but the standoff is clearly intended for use against a wall rather than a roof. Because it's in a fixed position, it can't be adjusted to match the roof's angle. So, if you want to keep your ladder away from the gutters, this is the way to go. This is not the product; my two stars are due to the fact that we were sent an item that appeared to have been used and is only suitable for use as a wall standoff, not a gutter standoff.
This was purchased to aid us in the repair of our second-story gutters. The small colossus is capable of a great deal - However, it's a shoddy extension ladder that's far too bouncy to be safe. This helps stabilize the ladder, but unless you have a safety harness and helmet, a professional spotter, and the ability to fly, I don't recommend using it with the little giant ladder fully extended.
br> br>br>The standoff arrived quickly and in brand new condition, thanks to free shipping. This is the fourth time I've used it. Putting up Christmas lights, cleaning gutters, and climbing onto the second-story roof Advantages: br>br> br>• Sturdy great quality product from Little Giantbr>• Stabilization is great feel very securebr>• Nice wide contact area close to 4 ftbr>• Allows your feet access to top rungbr>• Reach places around and underneath that a ladder against the house couldn't reachbr>Consbr>• Wish they made these with width spreader adjustments for around windowsbr>• Stoppers do not lay flat against roof only a portion contacts I like it because I can lean on it and feel safe getting to those hard-to-reach places without having to move the ladder another foot. Although it has a few flaws, it is generally accurate. This is a product that I would recommend to my family and friends.
I finally got around to using it, and it worked out beautifully. It was originally intended to be used to paint around windows and caulk, but after using it, I realized how useful it is for painting from a ladder. We tip toe to balance on top of the ladder and reach when it is against the house. With the ladder extended away from the house, you'll have less fear of losing your balance, more room to hold a paint can in front of you, and a more relaxed feeling overall. Please accept my apologies for not having received one earlier in my life. Only fits this brand of ladder; others have fatter rungs and are unable to be mounted.
17B multi-purpose ladder. This is perfect for my Werner MT-100. 17B multi-purpose ladder. I bought it because it was less expensive and had better reviews than the Werner alternative; it's a great product. Standing 10 feet up on it, I had no fear. Because the Werner rungs have a slightly different shape, it was a little tricky to put together. But, in this case, tight is exactly what you want. There aren't any wiggles to be found.
I bought this stabilizer used on Amazon and was disappointed when it arrived in such poor condition. Both of the sliding arms were nicked and burred to the point of not being able to slide into the center section. I smoothed them out with a file and a grinder, then pounded them in with a 3lb mallet. The sliding arm joint was missing the safety spring tab that locks it in place. For safety, I substituted a bolt. I'm not going to disassemble this stabilizer because beating the sliding arms into the center piece was too much work. Note that Amazon checked this stabilizer and found it to be in good working order. It's a little concerning that a trusted reseller certified a used tool designed to stabilize a 30 foot ladder. I made the decision to make this work because I didn't want to wait several days to a week for a replacement and I needed to get some work done on my roof. br>br>I would be happy with the tool if it was in good working order. Many other reviewers complained that the weight of the item, combined with the small giant ladder system, made it difficult to move around. While I agree, I am willing to bear the inconvenience. Because of the design of the little giant ladder, it is already top heavy; the stabilizer is probably as light as it can be.
