Questions & Answers

Will these work with my werner d1528-aluminum?

Almost certainly, they'll work with your ladder. I have a few pairs of LeveLock quick-release buckles. Type on a Little Giant-style step ladder and consider it an all-in-one solution. Ladder for the terrain. However, you should be mindful of the extra weight. You'll be adding to the weight of a ladder that's already quite heavy. br>I'm using a Werner D1328 on my computer. 2 I'm the proud owner of a Werner PK80- leveler for two people I prefer the extension ladder to the LeveLocks because vertical adjustment only requires holding the ladder plumb, lifting it slightly to remove weight from the locking mechanism, and then lowering it again. Setting up the PK80- 2 necessitates some additional effort, but it is well worth it once installed.

Is your ladder level enough to work on stairwells?

Yes, it is possible, depending on the type of ladder. It's what I use on an extension ladder, and it works great. When I'm working from a slope, it secures my ladder to the side of a house. When used in conjunction with a spreader bar at the top of the ladder against the roof, one feels extremely safe.

Is it true that the levelers are manufactured in the United States of America?

They are manufactured in China.

Is it possible to use these on scaffolding?

These are excellent for uneven terrain or different stairway steps. I'm not sure I'd use these on scaffolding because the scaffolding can easily pull or push them away.

A Fantastic Alternative to Dying by Falling
4/5

Ladder levelers, without a doubt, are life savers. Let's just say that the methods I used to level a ladder previously did not meet OSHA standards. These levelers appear to be much more durable than others I've used in the past, with a heavier construction and a locking mechanism that can't be activated while the ladder is loaded. It's critical to have faith in equipment like this, and the overall appearance of these levelers provides me with that assurance. br>br>Are they REALLY better than the competition? That's a little more difficult to put into words. These are a little heavier than any other leveling system I've used, and I wish they could be a little lighter, especially since I'm using them on a 32' ladder that is already quite heavy. They're also more difficult to install while holding the ladder with both hands than some of the other varieties I've tried. The legs are springy, so they're easy to move around with. It takes a little more effort than other models to push them down, and getting your foot onto the kick plate can be difficult at times. It can also be a pain to release them because the feet must be off the ground. Most of the time, this isn't a big deal, but there have been a few times when I've almost tipped my ladder over while trying to lift and release the extended legs. In addition, when compared to other leveling systems, the extension range is somewhat limited. However, no other system I've used had regular, swiveling ladder feet at the ends, which was a major selling point for me. As a result, you can spike the feet in grass, dirt, or snow. It also comes with rubber pads that can be used on concrete, wood, and other hard or flat surfaces. Many other types of levelers are only suitable for certain types of ground, whereas the LeveLocks appear to be a universal solution. br>br>I still need to use other types of levelers for some of my ladders, levelers that can extend further, are lighter, or are easier to adjust, but these have a permanent place in my ladder arsenal because they appear to be safer and can do things that others can't. They're something I'd buy again.

A stair block is still required (see photo)
5/5

These were purchased for a stairway project, but I still needed to block them in. To use the ladder, go down a lower stair. My way of walking Both steps are 8", which is the ideal size for a cinder block (remember not to put weight on the flat side of a cinder block). Maintain the verticality of the holes). The levelers are of excellent quality, and the installation and operation were simple. Although the levelers only drop one step, the ladder's feet with levelers spanned 17" (two wide to drop from one step to the next! Only one leveler is required for this project, or any project for that matter. Quick loks, which can be installed on both sides and require only one LeveLok, are also available from the company. Because two LeveLoks add weight and are somewhat permanently installed, it appears that a single LeveLok is a more elegant solution. Overall, this product is a very safe solution, and I'll always be on the lookout for it to keep my ladder level wherever I go.

For a secure ladder base, this is a must-have
5/5

These are incredible; they've saved my life. in both a metaphorical and literal sense They do an excellent job of keeping the ladder in place. In order to mount the assembly, you must drill six holes in your ladder. It includes a simple template as well as spacers that are specific to the type of ladder. Setting up the levelers, drilling the holes, and marking and drilling the holes took 15 minutes. It's easy to run: Unlatch the side you want to level, press down with your foot, close the latch, and you're ready to go. You're ready to go now that you've kicked your feet in to ensure a good grip. This system was extremely simple to operate and extremely stable. I used a 40-foot pole to hang these. I was nervous about using the ladder in a few places around my house where the ground was not level. The levelers never moved once they were locked, and I felt very safe working at the top. br>br>Everything is a PRO, with the exception of one: They're quite substantial. This does not detract from the fact that they must be strong and secure, but my 40ft. Moving the ladder around has become even more difficult. So my ladder keeps me safe, but carrying it around hurts my back.

Without it, no ladder is complete! these! I set out to find an answer
5/5

To be honest, I despise climbing ladders. br>br>Wish I'd had one of these years ago. These are well-made, with excellent engineering and design, a high-quality product, and a sturdy construction. These are made of a thicker, more durable metal than most aluminum extension ladders I've seen or used. A drilling template is included, as well as a comprehensive guide on how to mount them to your ladder. I didn't need the shims that were included with some ladder models. It took me about 15 minutes to put the ladder together, including removing the old feet. br>br>The vertically pivoting feet are much better, larger, and stronger than the ones that came with my ladder, and while they are a little fiddly to position (they want to stay level if you want them vertical), they set well in the ground once you get them right. I wasn't using the feet flat on the ground; instead, I was using the points on the ends of the feet to dig in and keep the ladder from sliding; a little duct tape held the feet vertically in place while I moved the ladder; the ends went into the ground and didn't let the ladder move in any direction as it should; and a little duct tape held the feet vertically in position while I moved the ladder; and the ends went into the ground and didn't let the ladder move in any direction If you want to go that route, the feet have holes on both ends through which you can drive stakes to prevent the ladder from slipping. This was well-planned. br>br>The retractable legs take a little getting used to in terms of adjusting and resetting, particularly resetting, but they're not difficult to learn. They lock solidly and provide a high level of security. br>br>These will noticeably add weight to the bottom of the ladder, which is a good thing, but you will not be picking up the ladder horizontally from the center. That isn't a problem, and it might even be preferable now that you are nearing the end of the process. br>br>I used them within two days of receiving them, and the ladder was rock solid and plum on uneven ground, which was a welcome first for me. I still don't like working on ladders, but it's a lot safer now, which has helped a lot. And, in case you're curious, the price is fair given the product's quality.
