It will, indeed, reappear. When you're installing something, it will round itself out. It's flexible, so it'll adjust to the unevenness of your garage floor. This is an excellent item.
As an illustration in the product literature posted on this site says - I'm assuming it's just a typo in the listing. between 40 and 140
It has a total length of 4 inches. Mius "T" is 75 inches. Refer to the illustration.
It began around 1 a.m., in my opinion. It was originally 5" thick, but after a few months of use, it has shrunk to approximately 1. Thickness of 25" However, I'm not sure how that would work with a slanted floor (ours is fairly flat).

I gave one star because of the size. br>I have a 16 ft garage door and after reading a lot of bad reviews about how they were missing couple inches, I decided to buy a 20 ft long. br>br>The product is great, it really does the job I highly recommend everyone but be aware you need to buy couple feet longer than you need then do some cuttingbr>br>I bought 20 ft long for 16 ft garage door and after cutting it looks.
When the package arrived, it stated that the length of the package would be 12 feet. It measured 9'11" when I rolled it out. 5”. I could see that the sticker on the pack had been placed over an old one, but I couldn't read what was on the old one. Amazon and I started a conversation. The item was replaced. The situation is identical. The sticker says twelve, but it's only about ten feet long. This time, however, I was able to read the original sticker, which reads "10. " It's clear that this isn't a mistake made by Amazon. So, is the seller aware of the erroneous labeling and simply hoping that customers will accept what they receive? br>br>I haven't tried it yet, but it appears to be a good product if you can find the right size.
This is most likely the best weather strip on the market, but it was a pain to install. It did not come with any instructions. I tried the soapy water trick, but it didn't work; it just wouldn't slide through the track. I then tried spraying the track with WD 40 to help it slide in, but it still wouldn't. When I discovered the trick to installing this thing, I was about to give up and toss it in the trash. After you get it started in the track, I started on the left side and slid it to the right, you pull on the end and stretch out the other end while still pulling and sliding it to the right, and the damn thing slides through the track without a hitch. I really liked it once it was installed, and the added rolled section in the middle should keep it from flattening out like the one on my door did. It would have been greatly appreciated if there were some simple instructions and tips on how to install this thing. It's a much thicker and more durable rubber than the original on the garage door. This is most likely the best door you can buy. Just keep in mind to stretch the left side as you pull it to the right.
I read the negative reviews here about how difficult it was to install, and I'm going to share some tips with you that the instructions didn't mention. In fact, reading the negative reviews aided me in devising a strategy that made the installation a breeze: 1. br>br> Do not cut the seal to length ahead of time; it will not be the same size when you pull it through the bottom rail as it was when you started. Cut after the installation is complete.
2. Calculate your T-score Before placing an order, carefully examine the available channels. You will be extremely disappointed if you order the incorrect size.
3. Wrap the seal in a couple of tie wraps: One is approximately 6 inches from the rail's end, while the other is approximately 12 inches away. Please see the attached photo (the other tie wrap was hidden behind the door railing, so the photo only shows one).
4. Pull/push about 5 inches through the channel, then pull that much through again by moving the tie wraps back about 5 inches. Before pulling the next 5 inches through, gently push the seal from the end of the rail. Carry on in this manner until you've completed the task.
5. Prop up the seal about a foot away from the second tie wrap with a board (or another object).
6. It took about 15 minutes to complete the entire procedure. br>br>I hope this information is useful!.
It doesn't stay on track and droops out of it. Mine was almost 16', but more like 15'-0" in length. 10". Remember that as you pull on the rubber to install it, it will stretch. After installation, mine reached a length of 16'. I would definitely order at least six, as others have suggested. To ensure that it will fit, make it a couple of inches longer than necessary. br>br>Installation proved to be extremely difficult. You simply pull it on (I lubricated the track with dishwashing liquid; do not use WD40 as it is a solvent that will melt the rubber), which is not difficult if you have two people. But I believe that the center round seal/cushion inside the seal adds weight to the point where I'd get 80% installed and that the weight of the seal is enough that it% After three or four attempts, I was able to fully install it. I'm worried that the seal will droop out of the track after multiple opening/closing, but so far everything appears to be in order. And I have a flawless track - In no way is he bent. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose the grey or black seal without the center cushion. I'll update this review if it falls out of the track. br>br>The product is of good quality. As has been suggested by others, the maker should cut these at least 6-inches long. inches over, because it has a tendency to stretch and shrink. I believe that the temperature of the installation may have an impact on the length. Mine had a 20-day expiration date on the packaging. despite the fact that I ordered 16-footers I asked for a length of feet, and that's what I got. I'm satisfied with the product in general. br>EDIT UPDATE: Take a look at the second image I put up. When I opened my garage today after a week, it had drooped out of the track, and I had probably opened and closed my garage ten times. This is something I believe I will return.
The inner tube is attached, which is convenient, but it flattened out during shipping. I also ordered a 16-foot roll (exactly the length of my garage door, so I wouldn't have to cut it down), but I only received a 15-foot-nine-inch roll, leaving a 3-inch gap at the end of my garage. Fortunately, I measured it before installing it, so I can return it and replace it with one that is long enough (probably a 20' so I'll be sure I have enough).
