Questions & Answers

When you say thickness, what do you mean?

It is incredible how thick and thick this product is, and how wonderful the quality is!

The yellow stripe appears on which side of the road?

In my case, I installed the threshold so that the 'smooth' part (no ribs) faces outside. This side has the higher incline that prevents debris and water from entering below the threshold. It is illustrated in one of the product photos. It seems to be shown in other photos with the ribbed side facing out, but I think it would not be practical. It is also a good idea to install a new door bottom seal to ensure that everything goes together smoothly.

Do you have any recommendations for replacing the rubber seal on the top of a 2 car garage?

For a 16' garage door, 20 feet would be enough, or 2 feet each would be sufficient A door that is nine feet wide

Where on the edge of the serrated edge do you place the ?

Toward the garage, there is a serrated edge. This is the U Look at the picture shown on Amazon to see how the shaped garage door bottom contacts the smooth side. Please visit www.com. During the purchase process, a picture with instructions of how to install the product appears on the page.

What is the relationship between adhesion and stretching? There is no adhesive on the product, so it is better not to I guess you could cut it with a scissors and a strong hand, but when you get to the thickest part of the rubber it will take a little longer. It is suggested that you place two beads of adhesive just inside the lines and a third just The answer is yes, if you don't mind adhesive oozing from the edges and everywhere else. You don't want to apply the adhesive too thickly. It is best to use thin beads, as they will fit in your lines well. Position the seal just inside the garage door, under the thin flat (smooth) rubber of the door, lining it up for the best seal. If the garage door is at an angle, kick it under gently so it will be flush with the opening. Then draw You will need to trim the tin rubber to fit into the opening, while the rounded wall on the outside will be the one against. This product helped me to remove my nails fast - Liquid Nails Fuze There aren't many brands out there that claim to bond rubber and cement, but it's one of them. Keep an eye on your children. There is a lot of mess and it takes a while for this stuff If you make a mess, you're gonna have a mess. If you don't give it time, you'll have a mess. This should be a review of the seal, not the adhesive I used. Soap and water do not have any effect. Neither light nor shadow can be seen through the hole This was a well-sealed bag, just like it should be. My problem with the corners at the bottom is another issue, but I have found a solution there as well. If there are any cracks in the garage door, seal them with your adhesive. Use duct tape over them so that this nasty glue does not end up on the door, or even worse, bond it shut. Fortunately, it is thick enough to lay down a bead that can fill gaps, cover it with duct tape and keep it hidden! Closing the door and allowing the adhesive beneath the tape to adjust should achieve best results. The wall will now be able to fit the door after allowing it to set. There are no gaps, there are
After using the Liquid Nails Fuze for a few months, I can confirm that I made the right choice- A piece of adhesive had come out under the edges of the It All Surface adhesive, but the grey color doesn't look bad against the cement floor. There is an incredibly strong bond between them. As the adhesive hardens, the consistency is similar to that of the rubber from which the seal was made, perhaps a tiny bit The substance is not particularly flexible like silicone or caulk, nor is it as hard as a rock. The vinyl flooring adhesive might be difficult to remove, but I believe if I had to scrape it up I could, but it will be tedious. Due to the fact that a variety of adhesives can be used for this purpose, I am discussing The Liquid Nail Fuze - *BTW, my wife had a hard time parking her car in the garage because it All Surface is the best. Having trouble figuring out where to stop was a challenge for her. As there were a couple pieces of rubber strip left after cutting, I placed them under her tires and marked exactly where they went. After I applied Fuze to her nails while she was getting them done, she came back better than before The pieces were secured by adhering it to them. With her new knowledge, she knows exactly where to stop if she feels the tires hit. I used up the little pieces of paper I trimmed off the edges and solved the problem. There have been no bugs in the garage either, despite experiencing the hottest summer on record in the Arizona Desert. Regarding the seal itself, it's holding up well. That is what I am looking for in the first place. The dozens of black bugs kept appearing, tiny ones like little bits of food. It is effective to spray them with bug spray. They would keep dropping their little carcasses every few days, so I had to sweep them away daily. In addition to the birds, spiders were also fond of them. In their webs, they used to set up a trap for the little delicacies that made their way in and fell from the ceiling. Whenever I opened the door of my car, a spider still hung in front of me! I am eeeeeeww! It was not uncommon for roaches or scorpions to enter, but scorpions were the biggest concern. There was no more of that with this strip. Water leaks seem to be the most common problem you face. Those things will be done as well. In the event that you are bugged by bugs, this method may work.

Using Rubber seals to seal the garage threshold
5/5

In a nutshell, Fortunately the weather has been nice and there hasn't been any water leakage in my garage despite a lot of rain. I'm not sure how long it will last, but we had a lot of rain.

It has just been installed, so I cannot comment on its durability or its There is a sense of quality to it

Due to the lack of instructions, I had to go to Youtube to find out how others had installed similar items (which looked identical). In one place, it was suggested you use silicone caulk, but I hate silicone caulk, so I used the Locktite construction adhesive that Amazon included in the package of the strip. actually measured 20' long, but the inner one foot of the roll (of the roll) was crinkled and unusable (from my perspective). The amount of light which included the double wide garage door was more than enough. Made from heavy duty materials, this product has a high level of consistency. Despite the fact that it could be cut or roughened up with regular use, I expect it to last a long time. We are talking about soft vinyl here. * * * * I followed a YouTube video and lowered the garage door, scribed the inner and outer parts of the gasket, and those were my marks for reference. Cut off a small piece of vinyl and lay it out using the outer line, making sure the tapered part of the strip would sit flush against the middle of the stripe, and mark that on the stripe. I then cut a 2' long straight board exactly the width of the vinyl piece, and I marked each end of the board with the mark on the vinyl. My intention was to place the marks on the board so that the outer scribe line of the existing garage door gasket was found on each end. I am very pleased with how it turned out. This was interesting since it was not exactly straight since the door was slightly offset from the vertical. I wanted the strips to fit tight at each end, so the next step was to cut them to size. I intended for the vinyl vertical weather seal to overhang the strip's outer edges. In order to get the strip to fit, I cut it so that the top bump of the strip was just slightly lower than the top For safety's sake, I measured twice and cut twice (the first cut was a bit too long just to be safe). It took me a long time to put down the adhesive as I used the inner and outer scribed marks from the scribe board which were the length of the strip. This was probably the most frustrating part. The strip was rolled up and then I unrolled the strip from one end with the help of my husband, making sure to keep the edges of the strip on the scribe lines so that the glue would not I was very satisfied with this. Every inch of the strip was weighed with weight to ensure it was smooth. To rid myself of any remaining adhesive, I scraped off the adhesive with a putty knife and wiped it up with alcohol. I also wiped up any adhesive that got on the strip or I could not remove with the putty knife. I put the garage door down on top of the strip and it fit perfectly (surprised, as I don't have that luck with all my projects). Over the course of two days, I left it on. It was not necessary for me to adjust the height of the garage door since it went down and stayed in place. This finished product is nothing short of terrific. It really does not pose much of a trip hazard. I can't say it is beautiful on gray concrete, but it does look like a part of the structure. The rain and dust will be kept out as far as I can tell. So far, I have been pleased with it.

This is a very effective fix

I have been living with a rain water issue for 25 years, but this threshold strip cured it in minutes. If you are going to cement the strip, my recommendation is spending a bit more and using black Sikaflex 221. You might be able to use Liquid Nails for four to five years before they harden and fail. This seller on Eapele is an amazing seller whom I found to be worth checking out more of these amazing thresholds.

longer do I have to deal with water leaking under my garage door
5/5

I have a crack in the concrete near the sill of my garage and it's angled inward. There may be an occasional ingress of water during a NorCal thunderstorm. This will solve the problem. You need to glue it I will leave it as it is. I've always used this as my garage for rolling motorcycles, tools, and kids in and out every day. It has never come loose or shifted. This is Jason.

It's easy to install and very attractive. I am interested in the Garage Door Threshold Seal Weatherproof Easy Cut Replacement Strip. Although I am still unclear as to how this keeps leaves from scattering into the garage when the door is open, I find it effective. You can certainly blow leaves into the garage, but for leaves that simply blow into the garage without touching the threshold, this does a lot of good. In addition to the yellow strip, I also like it since it helped me line up the strip with the garage door before attaching The cutting is not so simple, but it can be easily installed. There is nothing difficult about it, but it is not easy either.
