My model Viking simply had to be pulled off by firmly grasping the handle and pulling straight down. Getting a good grip on it is a bit difficult, but it comes off if you get a good grip. new one will easily fit over the existing one. In order to line the notch on the knob with the male part of the stove, you must align it with the male part.
As far as my Viking Z61C3686BSS range is concerned, it worked well.

This is the old oven knob I had on my 16-year-old oven The year is With some of the temperatures rubbed off on the center of the dial, the old Viking range seemed to be getting old. My plan was to add a new dial to it to dress it up. This is an expensive part, but it fits perfectly and gives your range a brand-new look. Despite the fact that the other four burner knobs will also need to be replaced soon, I am not excited about shelling out $200 for new ones, even though they don't make much of In addition to the burner rims, they are also extremely costly, so they won't be replaced for a while. A Viking Oven, model #VDSC485-E, was sold to me in 2001 It is impossible to find a temperature knob that fits the oven properly at 6G and these prices. In regards to the "fit", this knob did attach nicely to the oven, but of course it had to be returned.
My first reaction was to be surprised at how good the knob was. What I got was more than I could have imagined. Those who don't know what color the knob is should know that the knob will be a little different. It is not the knob, but instead the other knobs are old and the color contrasts with the new ones. It is recommended to buy them all if that is something that bothers you.
There is no difference in tightness between the new one and the one it replaces. In my opinion, it should have had a small metal pinch wedge to hold it on, however I cannot find one. A new one needs to be installed to replace the old one, but it does not solve There is no comparison between it and the one it was supposed.
It looks and functions like the original Viking knob, and it costs a fraction of the cost of the original. Be sure to select the knobs with the correct female end. Viking changes the type of stern it uses from time to time.
Upon arrival, the item was heavily used and the size was incorrect. The knob was purchased used but "new" condition, which I've never had a problem with before. It appears the previous owner was not tidy with their cooking after using the knob for a long time. If you don't want the hassle of returning the item to Kohls, do not buy this falsely advertised product. I have to return the item to a Kohls store in order to get a refund, which defeats the purpose of Amazon's.
The product is excellent. I would purchase it I like the way it looks, fits, and feels It is less expensive than Viking knobs.
