decided on these sets in Amazon for under $35 for all 5 knobs after looking at several sets. According to all the reviews, the metal is shiny and not brushed. It was a tough decision I either thought I would replace all 5 and live with shiny knobs, or I hoped the old outer knob could possibly be unscrewed from its base and screwed onto the new one. I received them today, and they have brushed metal, not shiny metal. You can see the picture I've included. In the picture you can see one of the new knobs. What is the name of the one you're talking about? This kind of stuff happens on Amazon occasionally when similar products by different sellers get mixed in with each other's reviews. Despite the relatively thin reinforcement collar around the mounting peg, it seems very sturdy, and I suspect it will outlast I am not sure if the lettering rubs off with cleaning, or whether the metal coating forms blisters and peels when exposed to the elements as some reviews report. The reinforcing collar on the new knob seems to stick out slightly more than the other ones, which I suppose is why it sticks out so much more than the others. Other than that, the OEM ones had a brushed finish that matched my stove while these are bright and shiny. The fit and finish on these look great, however, they appear to stick out more than the OEM's. It would have to be the circle indentations on the knobs' fronts which bug me the most. Choosing a finish like this will make you notice it more. As they dull down, the effects may become less pronounced. I will revise my rating to 4 stars in a few months if these remain true. There is a peeling and bubbling finish on the white ones, and they will not hold up. No point in wasting your time.

Although the knobs appear to be in good shape, the overall construction appears to be better, but the ink is clearly cheaper. You can't go wrong for the price at which this set is priced and the quality of its construction when compared with the original. We'll see how they hold up over time, but based on the construction, we can safely say they will outlast the OEM devices.
