I'll take my time. There is a Suburban on it, but they are the same. Replace it with a fairly straightforward procedure. You will end up buying more replacement parts if you force things apart. Take your time and do not force things apart. As soon as I replaced each sparker, I sanded/filed the ends of the sparkers so they would be as new as possible. I then reassembled each sparker kit in unison, and the system was back to normal. Approximately 30 minutes were needed for the entire process. The time under the top could have been less, but I cleaned it up quite a bit because it was quite dirty.
As a result of the cabinet door not closing fully when bringing the slides in, this broke off the knob and shaft for the ignitor. I replaced it in less than five minutes. It is a simple process involving two screws and three slide off wires. Afterwards, I will be extra careful to make sure nothing is in the way while closing slides.
In a used camper we bought, I picked up a new knob for my stove. I discovered that the igniter had been broken off where the knob had attached where I tried to attach it. It took about five minutes to order and install this replacement. The system is in perfect working order.
It was missing the knob as well. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but the old knob doesn't fit the shaft of the new ignitor because the old knob has a round point and the ignitor shaft is flat.
I replaced this item and it works just fine. We completed the replacement in less than ten minutes because it was so simple!.
It has so far been a good experience. A three-burner stove can be easily wired with a single wire output to the central box.
Replacing this equipment with a functional and easy solution was a good idea.
