I cleaned out my minivan a few years ago. Without a water collection kit, I split for the first time, and it was a huge mess. Because there was so much cleaner and water spraying on the walls, ceiling, and floor, it was such a hassle and a mess that I did not clean it thoroughly enough. br>br>Unsurprisingly, my unit's performance began to deteriorate in early summer, and the blower wheel began to make a racket. I knew it was time to clean again, and I'd be sorry if I hadn't done so before the weather in Texas became unbearably hot. This time, I wanted to clean it properly, so I came across this item while looking for a way to collect all of the cleaner and water I'd need for the job. br>br>For cleaning a Mini Split AC, I found this cover to be a very well-made, durable, and dependable splash guard and water collector. My a/c system's indoor component is mounted high on a wall, with only a small gap between it and the vaulted ceiling. So, given my circumstances, I was worried about how well this product would work. I discovered that the bag fit snugly around the indoor unit, allowing me to confidently spray evaporator cleaner and then flush with copious amounts of water without fear of damaging the paint on the walls and ceilings, as well as the hardwood floors below. br>br>This product has a lot of thought put into it. There are small plastic inserts that can be used to prevent water from running behind the unit and behind the bag, as shown in the manufacturer's video. I thought this would be a one-time use, but it worked so well that I dried it out and stored it for future use. br>br>Now the blower wheel and evaporator fins are spotless, and the unit is blowing cooler air quietly. as good as new! Today was my first time using this. My mini- This is very well made and worked like a charm, even though the split was very dirty and impacted by dirt. If you don't tuck the top of the shroud behind the top of the unit, it will fall off. br>The quality will not let you down.

If you're looking at these, you're probably realizing that your mini split needs to be cleaned, and you're probably wondering why no one told you that before. We used it on all five mini splits and it was well worth the money. I stopped using the front cover once I got better at cleaning, but it held up well and will be saved for future use. Make certain that the clear wall covers are used. They will simply bend beneath the unit, preventing the wall from being soaked. I didn't have any issues with mine overlapping each other.

This is a must-have if you have a mini split ac/heat pump with wall units, as it helps capture all of the water and cleaning solution during the cleaning process. We'd neglected to clean the wall heads for four years. It was revolting what came out. We can clean the unit before and after each heating and cooling season with this product. It's well-made and should last a long time. The drain hose has a habit of curling up and coming out of the waist water bucket, which is the only minor complaint. A simple fix is still available.

I was a little skeptical at first, but it does exactly what it says it will. We used this hood/cover to clean four filthy Mitsubishi mini splits, and it worked perfectly. The hose was adequate in length, and the product's quality is excellent. We'll be able to clean the units more frequently now that we have it, as it appears to be very long-lasting. We're glad we got it, and we strongly suggest it.

This thing is ridiculously simple to put together and incredibly useful. Not a drop of funky water was spilled. For those who are curious, I simply removed the covers from my units before installing this dealie. Then, using a water sprayer, make a 70/30 mixture of water and white vinegar. Then spray, scrub, rinse, and repeat until you're satisfied. Take a look at the before and after shots I took!.
