2 sided. The lines are not required to be disconnected. Only the flex piece is made from a single piece of material.
Yes, but you'll probably have to push the line-set aside a little to get the covers to stick to the wall. The screw-driver a hole in the middle- the cover's first line
The line cover kit's dimensions were perfect for my 3/4-ton units. I had to fabricate an escutcheon plate for the interior wall penetration on the unit in my shop because I ran the cover inside and outside. The inside run is adequate in appearance for the location, keeping in mind that this is a low-cost product; however, in a more refined setting, I'd recommend fabricating a soffit or using one of the commercial electrical gutters available. You could move the condensate line outside the gutter if the tubing for your larger unit is too tight.
Each indoor unit requires one set.

For my 12k Mr Cool DIY installation, this line cover was ineffective due to its small diameter. The condensate grain and line set could not be accommodated due to a lack of space. The line set with the mini split is wrapped in a heavy vinyl sleeve, and I wasn't willing to remove it to fit the cover kit size because PVC is pretty fragile and chips or breaks easily, especially when cutting to size. The 90 turn is adjustable for wider angles, but has big tabs inside that further limit line storage and would create a backup spot for the condensate line. The screws, as others have said, are terrible. If you supply the hardware, this could work for a simple installation. For about 20 feet of run, there are numerous options in various shapes and sizes.
Cool installations. This was purchased to cover the line set on a heat pump that I installed myself. Because there are no written instructions, I recommend watching a video. I had no trouble getting the line set into the cover. The only complication is that a DIY Mr. Cool has a bulky section at the connect section. If you have a Mr. Cool, this cover will fit, but you may need to compress the insulation a little with the provided white "tape" at the connection point. Because you can't bend the flexible elbow into a perfect 90-degree angle, you'll need to cut the tabs off so the tubing can rest easily. This was a simple task for me to complete using a chop saw. Long portions can also be cut in the same manner. br>br>Like many others, I believe at least one more long section would have been beneficial. I can't seem to locate a place where I can purchase just one more section. So I covered as much line set as I could with the flexible piece. I slit the side of it with a table saw blade before placing it over the line set. This section of the house is not screwed to the house and rests between the two attached connectors. It worked perfectly; I would have preferred not to have to use it at all, but it was a satisfactory installation. br>br>I also ran the condensate drain line all the way back to the condenser. br>br>Because this is on a rarely seen side of my home, I wasn't as concerned as I might have been otherwise. br>br> To allow the tube to drain, I slightly slopped the line set cover. Installed in the same way as a rain gutter, with a gentle slope. I'll take the cover off and check to see if there's any water in the tube. If that's the case, I'm going to cut a hole in the elbow and hang it from there. br>br>Overall, this was an excellent purchase!.
The delivery was on time, and there were enough parts to install a long down drop of electrical, mechanical, and water drain lines (all made of PVC). Interlocking grooves are found on both halves. Install the back side of the board to the wall and draw the lines, then snap on the cover and screw the connectors at the joints. These things literally click together and stay put. I used tin snips to cut it to length, but it's a relatively soft plastic that cuts easily. I ordered the unit online and had it installed by a contractor, but I installed the line cover kit myself while he ran the lines. The final product is polished and professional. Extra parts were included for a couple of 90-degree turns, as well as additional runs and connectors. The contractor was so impressed with this product that he said he'll be using it on his next job. It's a great value product that will shield the installation from the sun and weather while also improving its appearance. This is not a paid or otherwise solicited review, but I strongly recommend this product.
1) The other reviews are incorrect; you cannot install this over existing lines unless the top piece that mounts to the wall is cut with a notch. Otherwise, it will not fit over existing lines; 2) there are no instructions for putting the pieces together. I've been working on it for an hour and still haven't figured out how the multiple straight pieces are supposed to interact. There is a one-page "instruction" that covers nothing useful; 3) the "joints" that the straight pieces fit into are a different white color than the straight pieces themselves. br>I'll post an update if I get it to work, but for now, I've had it and will most likely return it if I can. br>I've attached a photo of the "instructions" to show that it can't be installed on an existing system and that it doesn't even come with predrilled holes for wall mounting.
For my three-year-old son, I bought three sets of this product. Installation of a LG split system in a zone. I adore the covers, especially the flush-mount design. Install a 90-degree "head" where the line sets and accordion section come out of the house/siding. However, I used stainless steel screws from Lowes/Home Depot to replace all of the provided screws that connect the elbow and union covers to the backing piece. To avoid splitting the plastic mounting stanchion into which the screw threads, be very careful when using replacement screws. If you use a screw that is either too heavy or too long, it will crack, causing an even bigger problem than the rusted screw you just tossed.
It appears to be constructed of high-quality materials. The weather resistance of a product is determined by its durability value. elements. I'm assuming this was written for someone who already knows how to put the right pieces together to make something useful. By no means difficult, but my product came without any paperwork, so I had to unwrap it all and mock it up on the ground. We put it together after trial and error because all of the screws were mixed up in a bag. I'm happy with the product; it was figuring out what went where that caused me to become frustrated.
I wish I could have had the NEW Elbow that is now included. Most importantly, two of them are required. Look for the one with two for only $2 more on Amazon (I believe it's Senvel). If you don't look into Mr Cool, the only one I'm aware of who is truly DIY, you'll be missing out. After two weeks of searching, I found one for 1550 dollars, saving $400 over what HD had requested.
