I zip tied my line sets and SO cord every 24" to keep it neat and symmetrical along the length of the cover for a typical one zone unit with 3/8", 1/4", and 3/8" insulated tubing and drain line.
Yes, because the tube is made of raw PVC, it is simple to cut. Cutting can be done with a hacksaw, tin snips, or a chopsaw. If you're looking for a 10', you might want to look at the 7. Kit for five feet The copper bends out to meet the outdoor machine most of the time, so the cover doesn't go all the way to the ground. Normal on single story building 7. The 5 ft kit fits perfectly.
9000 square feet can be covered by a 3 inch. HawaiiSplitAc, 18000 btu. com
On my 24000 BTU 3-zone unit, I had the 4" installed. It functioned, but it was extremely constrained and difficult to manage. It took the installer most of the day to get it to fit properly. Particularly difficult were the elbows. It looked fantastic once it was put in place.

The product is of excellent quality and is simple to put together. It takes some effort to slide the main split sections together, but that's to be expected given how well they hold together. A word about the top piece, which is where the hvac lines leave the house. If you're replacing an existing system, you'll need to cut the base section with a hacksaw. For a 2 ton unit, all you have to do is make one cut and slide it over the Freon, electrical, return, and condensate lines. This was created for a brand-new installation rather than a retrofit. The cut will be hidden by the cover piece, and the house will be secured with three screws. There's no need to be concerned.
This kit should suffice to cover your mini split ac lines. My unit came with 16 foot lines, but this kit covers 14 feet, which was perfect for me. A rain gutter downspout, which can be found in most big box stores, is a good comparison for the plastic. I attempted to use the included hardware but ultimately decided to purchase something better. The included screws are soft and easy to strip. It's convenient that all of the pieces are split so you can mount them and run the lines as you go rather than having to push your lines through each one individually. I didn't use the end terminal piece because I didn't like it. This kit was useful to me, and I would buy it again.
The lines of a COOPER AND HUNTER 9000 BTU 115V Single Zone Ductless Air Conditioner Mini Split Heat Pump 23 SEER unit were covered with this line cover. It performed as expected. br>br> To match our siding, we spray painted the covers. We went out and bought some spray paint for the outside of the house. It has lasted nearly the entire summer, fall, and winter so far. br>br>Installation of the covers was a breeze. They have the impression of being long lasting. We needed the adjustable elbow because we were installing this on the second floor, and it made it easier to follow the roof line. br>br>These covers are pricey (in my opinion), but I would highly recommend them for both aestheticians and those who want to protect their lines!.
Line. Excellent product; however, I would like to make some suggestions to those considering using the Hide-A-Way. Line. You'll need to trim a bit of plastic off the inside of adjustable angle connectors so they don't interfere with the lines, as mentioned by another reviewer. It's simple to accomplish this - I used a Fein Multi tool, but a knife, a hot nail held in pliers, or a sabre saw would also work. Also, if you're working with a lot of people, you'll need a lot of space. My screws were 5/8" and 3/8", but the 4" Hide-A-Way is required. I had to abandon running the drain hose in conjunction with the line sets because it simply wouldn't fit. In any case, this was a better solution, and if you decide to do the same, cut through the Hide-A-Way with a hole saw. Make a line for the drain to come out of. This is a fantastic product that I would strongly suggest.
The cover is fine, and it appears to me to be cleaner than the square sheet metal covers. I'm not sure if the white plastic can be painted, but it doesn't look bad. I'm hoping it doesn't turn yellow over time. br>br>My issue is with the screws that come with it. They are not stainless steel and rust quickly, which is unacceptable for an outdoor product. Now I must go replace all of the screws and attempt to remove the rust stains from the plastic. Hopefully, the screw heads haven't been weakened by the rust. For the screws to rust so quickly, they must have used the cheapest grade of screw they could find. What would the price of stainless steel screws have been?.
It looks good and functions well once installed. Because everything is a little loose, I'll have to caulk it to keep bees and mosquitoes out. I really wish it came with a right angle connector instead of the adjustable one. I had to modify the adjustable connector because it was obstructed, and it is now even looser than the rest, and two of the cover holes were not drilled, which was unnecessary extra work. The end cap requires a sealant as well as provision for mounting screws - I was the one who did the drilling. I'm going to use expanding foam, most likely. Overall, it will be worth the money and trouble once it is installed and sealed.
There were no instructions included, but it was easy to figure out after looking at the pieces. I did, however, replace the included screws with star-drive equivalents - On a ladder, it's just a little easier to deal with. If they hold paint well, they'll be the ideal finishing touch for a tidy installation. (And if it doesn't hold up to a paint job, I'll be back to take away at least one star. ) I've attached a photo that I painted to match the wall. It results in a neat and tidy installation.
In order to replace leaking underground heat pump lines, HVAC had to install new above ground copper heat pump lines from the outside to the inside units. The HVAC technician ran straight lines from one unit to the next, forming them so I could add the Hide-A-Way. Later, I'll draw a line to cover them, which I'll do the following week. Recommend 4" to accommodate two copper-insulated lines as well as some flexibility where the lines curve. Later, after I've installed vinyl or smart siding eaves, I plan to paint them to match the brick. Hide-A-Way has been fastened. SS screws and plastic anchors should be used to secure the three connectors into the brick mortar. The rest of the hardware is included in the kit. The 14-foot kit was a little longer than I needed, but it gave me the narrowed connection at the top of the line next to the eave that I wanted without having to purchase it separately. Product is excellent, and it arrived on time.
