Yes, it drains condensation from the inside unit to the outside.
We ordered a new hose and adapters from the internet - male and female, with the joint siliconed. My only criticism of the unit was its hose.
Mine can be connected to another company's drain hose as long as the other company's hose is 5/8ths width. If this isn't the case, you'll need a connector with a size offset.
It should

Water could not get through the tube to the outside, so it would build up in the tube before the bend and eventually leak onto the house's floor. So I swapped out the old tubing for this Senville tubing last weekend. Because of the creases (or whatever they're called?) in the tube design. It's only been a week, and I haven't had to run the mini split yet (I'll know more about how the new tubing performs once the weather warms up and condensation builds up), but just by looking at it, the new Senville tubing should perform much better. The Senville Tubing is lightweight, bends easily as it snakes through the wall, and connects to the mini split's main condensation hose without difficulty. br>I've already placed an order for more tubing to replace the condensation tubing in my house's other mini splits.
My husband and I just moved into a new apartment and are in the process of renovating it. In the apartment, we already have a split-system air conditioner/heater. When the air was turned on in the bedroom, it would leak. When we dismantled the machine, we discovered that the old hose had completely ripped apart and was no longer going outside as it should. The temperature has been around 95 degrees or higher, and we live on the top floor of the building, so air conditioning was a must. I came across this Senville 20-foot drain hose and bought it right away. The hose arrived on time and in perfect condition. It had a length of 20 feet and was made of a tough material. It only took a few seconds to set up, and we now have the coldest room in the house! I'm very happy with it, and the price was excellent!!.
ON MY TWO-PIECE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT, I HAD 15 FT OF NEOPRENE CLEAR RUBBER TUBING. IT EXTENDS OVER MY DECK. THE CLEAR RUBBER HOSE DID NOT SWEAT ON THE OUTSIDE WHEN I USED IT. SO NOW I BUY THE HOSE THAT WAS RECOMMENDED, WHICH IS A VERY THIN PLASTIC TYPE HOSE. IT HEATS UP LIKE CRAZY, AND NOW, UNLIKE BEFORE, THERE ARE CONSTANT WATER DROPS ON THE DECK FLOOR. THE THIN WALL FROM WHICH IT IS MADE IS TEMP SENSITIVE TO THE OUTSIDE AIR, AND AS A RESULT, IT SWEATS A LOT. I'M THINKING OF RETURNING TO RUBBER TUBING.
Because my media room was upstairs and the hose they brought was not long enough, the installers used a portion of my drain hose and a portion of pvc pipe to install a split system in my media room. br> Whatever was causing the water from the system to back up into my media room, I couldn't figure out. I bought this hose on the internet, connected it to my split system, and ran it down the back of my house, and it worked flawlessly. I would strongly suggest it.
Overall, this is a high-quality item, but there is a catch. br>The material is extremely durable. It's far superior to the majority of similar products I've seen. br>The problem is that it is lacking in dimensional accuracy at the ends, where it is required to seal with other standardized fittings or other hose segments. It's a little too big on the female end, so it'll easily disconnect or leak. This can be easily remedied with some sealant or a clamp, but that isn't the point. This product's design goal is for it to be accurate enough to connect and seal.
Flexible as well as strong.
It was used to extend an existing drain into a sump drain pipe, and it was reasonably priced.
It's fantastic.
