My rubber membrane on one side did not come off, but it did not stretch. When we used them, it simply peeled off.
I'm not sure how you're strapping the bike together, but I did it by securing my wheel to the bike's frame. Basically, it's used to keep the wheel/rim from swinging around while being transported.
Yes, and there's plenty of room left over.

It's a cinch to use. br>I use them to secure my bikes to the carriers, which provides additional support and prevents swaying. br>Exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
Pros: br>Metal bucklebr>Strong, soft fabricbr>Soft fabric againbr>Decent velcrobr>br>Cons: br>Rubber flake off easily. Expect it to unravel after only a few uses (this is the main reason to get this one)br>Stitching was pitiful and only lasted one user. br>Shorter than expected. Make sure you measure everything because I'll be using two.
These were purchased to assist in the securement of my bicycle on a bicycle rack. The Velcro strap has a lot of holding power. They haven't come loose while we've been on the road. The rubbery protection strips on them came off after the first time they were used. This is supposed to prevent scratching on the surface that the strap is holding down.
For a person of 27, the length is ideal. There are five mountain bikes and 700 road or gravel bikes in the group. After multiple uses, the metal loop has proven to be durable, but tightening the strap should be done with care so that the metal loop does not rub against the frame or wheel. The traction backing came off after only 10 uses, which is a major drawback. This strap's main purpose is to keep wheels tight, but due to the poor quality of the backing, it is now useless.
The straps are long enough, and the rubberized surface perfectly grips the rim. This strap can also be used to keep the bike from moving when not in use. The velcro is nice and strong.
They were used the day before yesterday. When transporting my bike to and from trails, I kept my wheels from moving.
The inside is soft, so it won't scratch the bike, and the velcro is strong. Long. Work as it should. br>I am very pleased with my purchase.
We bought these to keep our bike wheels from spinning and moving around while on the road. It worked perfectly, and the bikes stayed in place. The velcro on these is excellent, and you can tighten them up.
