I measured the distance between the center of one bolt and the center of the opposite bolt to be 5 3/8".
Steel is used to construct the frame. Aluminum is used to make the round side inserts.

The mount's build quality is outstanding. Once the thru axle is in place, there is plenty of room to tighten it. In order to achieve what I wanted, I had to purchase shorter bolts, but the bolts that come with the mount are long enough to go through the bed or anywhere else you'd want to mount a bike. Overall, this is a great product, and we'll see how it holds up over time.
I used this to attach it to an old hitch rack that I'd had for a long time. This method worked great and allowed me to fit two bikes on my hitch rack, saving me hundreds of dollars over a dedicated bike rack.
These are what I use to transport our ebikes. They cost half as much as Thule. One Thule fork and two Filzer forks are in my collection. Unless you only need a brand name product, I strongly suggest Filzer.
Because it isn't a solid tube, aligning your thru-hole can be difficult. When pushing it through, make sure it's on the right side of the axle. Despite the fact that it was an oversight on my part, I still gave it five stars. Aside from that, it's extremely well-made and attractive.
I already had a tonneau cover on my truck, and I didn't want to make it permanent. As a result, they were mounted on some unistruts, which were then secured to a load lock using pipe clamps. It was an excellent solution.
On my 2017 Trek Top Fuel, it works perfectly.
It's well-made, and it's better than some similar items for the same price. The axel can be easily tightened because it is tall.
