In the ad, it says "2 (Two) 43" Boat Buckles so yes, there are two of them. By the way, this is an excellent product.
Neither the (2) boatbuckles g2 tie down nor the bow tie down are any different. It seems they have changed the wording on the packaging for some reason. But in my 15 years of boating, I have always used boatbuckle g2 on I'm sure that you will be satisfied with the boatbuckle if you decide to purchase it. I believe it's a great product. A month ago, I switched from aluminum to stainless steel because I use the boat occasionally in saltwater. It has so far been smooth sailing. A good thing came out of this I called the seller and they sent out stainless steel replacements at no cost. I am very pleased with the new hardware. As soon as the order is placed, they will replace the bolts and nuts because they know it's a problem. However, they still have the old bolts and nuts. I would have given this product 5 stars if they had shipped the improved nut and bolt with it. That's the only reason for 4 stars instead of If you want a boatbuckle mounted somewhere, it is a good idea to decide where it will go before you buy. There was a spot on the rear of bunkers that I intended to place it, but it interfered with the trim tabs, so I had to relocate the strap to the side of the bunker. There's no problem.
On a previous post I mentioned that I had ordered the universal bracket kit. As I was getting the right tools and deciding where to place the first one, it took me a few minutes longer. It took only a few minutes for the second one to mount. The first time I used them, I was not sure they fit well and upon reading the packaging I realized they do ratchet down quite The boat can be launched and loaded much more easily with these.
As far as mounting the stainless steel hardware goes, I encountered the same issue. It came on and off, but I couldn't move them when they were tightened. I thought they were locking nuts. I tightened them on with maybe a thread extending past the bolt. I even put a two foot extension bar on each wrench and none of it worked. For the final removal of the wires, I needed a large electric cutoff tool. Thank goodness the buckles didn't get damaged. The new ones have not been installed yet. I need to buy new hardware ($). Here's the latest The lowe's hardware store took me half an hour to find replacement bolts. The order was for 7/16"-32 The 14x1x1 formula For around $7 you can purchase 1/2" coarse thread bolts, lock nuts (nylon inserts), and extra washers from BoltDepot. A buckle was easily applied to the boat (as it should). My two experiences at the ramp show me that they are great!.
After checking local stores for weeks, those were the only places I could find the Boatbuckles. Currently, the best price can be found on Amazon (in fact, Amazon sells it). Tax and shipping were included in the price of $57. Both buckles were in great shape and it came with two (2) buckles. The pair I ordered was the "standard," and I had no trouble securing the nuts to the bolts, as some of the other people have complained. In my trailer I had a trailer pre-production It was very easy to install the buckles since there were already pre-drilled holes. In addition to adding washers between the trailer and lock nut, I also added an extra layer of security to the trailer. One of the lock nut washers was missing from my pair despite coming with two (2) lock nuts. When I was unpacking it, I was sure I had lost the lock washer. Those of us who fish know that 8 minutes isn't a long time when you're standing on a busy dock. I fish Fort Loudon and Douglas Lake mostly, but they are both heavily crowded places. My expectations were not met in terms of the size and strength of the buckles. These buckles are very well made and I am very pleased with them.
The item was bought in December 2019 for saltwater use. I didn't realize 1 side could wind up automatically until it did. In my contact with BoatBuckle, a replacement was sent the same day. The customer service rep apologized and was excellent. After using each of these, I simply rinse them in a little 16' whaler. It takes almost a year for them to rust and corrode. From the product all the way to customer service, I am impressed. Oh, and the company even sent me marine grade stainless steel hardware and grease with the new buckle.
It's a nice ratchet device, but the hardware is terrible. An engineer specs a stainless steel bolt with a stainless steel nut, but how does she do it? A galling sounds like something you might have heard of? You only have to know that. Using a threading needle, I threaded them on to ensure that there are no cross threads. As soon as the nut locked, I began to use the wrench. I got a hold of it almost instantly. Despite using an impact wrench, the screw could not be removed. The hacksaw had to be used to cut it off. A lot of paint has been damaged on my trailer. If you don't want to use the provided hardware, I suggest getting grade 8 steel bolts and throwing away the hardware. The steel nuts are a minimum requirement. I wasted a lot of time drilling the holes. I thought the hardest part was going to be drilling the holes.
