I used a 6" space to mount mine. My screw holes are 5" apart, so I think you'll be fine; however, I wouldn't try to shorten them by cutting them. In the boat, I let the long ends fall to the floor.

Mounting on the wall of your Jon Boat is not a good idea. It's possible that your Jon Boat will develop leaks as a result. It's better suited to boat decks. br>br> DJI, br>br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br>
I suppose that anything you put on the deck is technically a trip hazard for legal purposes, but after installing these on my boat, I can say that they did not cause any tripping issues for me or any of my boaters.

These are exactly what I needed for transporting my fly rods to and from the lake without breaking them down. Now I have the option of leaving them fully rigged and ready to go! The screws alone will eventually pull out of the nylon straps, so I used oversized stainless steel washers to give them more hold down surface. The only criticism I have of these straps is that they should have included washers with the stainless steel screws for installation. The straps appear to be of good quality and should last a long time.
I needed to replace some straps that were 12 years old, and these are identical. Excellent velcro that is simple to use. Because the screws are larger than on previous models, you will need to pre-drill a larger hole. Instructions, on the other hand, would have been helpful.
On my smokercraft pro angler 161, I installed these in June 2021. Straps are fine, and the hardware is soft, as others have mentioned. I snapped a screw and had to use channel locks to get it out. Drill pilot holes and take your time to torque screws in.
reels! I've been using these items for over four decades and on a variety of boats! They do exactly what they say they will and will not let you down!.
Pull the first strap tight and drop the second strap in if you like how strong the Velcro is. Exceptionally safe. There are no sharp edges, and it is not affected by water. Simple to set up. I would definitely buy from them again. I'm also a snob.
The velcro seems to grip the rods extremely well, and it's easy to install with a drill and four screws. There will be no early release of information.
I've been buying rod saver tie downs for all of my boats for years. On Friday, I purchased a boat and on Saturday, I placed an order for a rod saver tie down. Without them, I wouldn't be able to own a boat.
I ordered a new set, which is of the same high quality as the ones I had ten years ago. They come with the necessary mounting screws and easily secure your rods. Just make sure you get the right size, okay? If you want to hold down more than three rods, go for the large size, which can accommodate up to six. They'll get the job done in no time.
