Yes, almost all bicycles will work; however, some children's bicycles may not.
The entire item is made of a tough plastic. The straps are sewn on, and they don't look industrial or anything. It's very simple to use, and we've been pleased with it thus far. When you consider how much it costs to have your paint job scratched up, it's well worth the money.
It looks like a Momentum ebike would work from the pictures I've seen. It's possible that you'll need to add a velcro strap to make it long enough to get around the battery pack, but this is a simple fix. I hope this information is useful.
Yes, it's a breeze to transport my Sondors ebikes, which weigh 65 and 75 pounds respectively.
Selected User Reviews For Demon Tailgate Pad for Mountain Bikes with Tool Pocket for Mechanic Tools/Tailgate Cover with Secure Bike Frame Straps
I assumed it was a little shorter than my other pad at first. So I tossed it in the truck and loaded up a few bikes to make sure they were all in good working order (as seen in the photos). Nothing touches the truck except the pad, so it's completely covered. Even my downhill bike, which had longer forks, was perfect; the coverage in the back was definitely less, but that didn't bother me. The middle piece, which extends over the top of the tailgate, has a nice depth to it. It fit perfectly in my 2016 Ford F150. My truck's top of the tailgate tapers towards the ends, so it bends down towards the edges and doesn't lay perfectly flat, but I had the same problem with the last two pads I bought (Dakine and Raceface), so if you have an F150, you'll have the same problem. However, it is only a matter of appearance. It's impossible to tell once the bikes are mounted. To summarize, it's far superior to a blanket and just as good as any other tailgate pad I've used in the past at a significantly lower cost. Now all I ask is for it to be see-through so that everyone can see the platinum badge across my entire tailgate. My DBag status must be preserved.
This tailgate pad was one of the more affordable options (as opposed to Race Face and Dakine, which both cost $150). I didn't have high hopes, but was pleasantly surprised. The quality of this tailgate pad far exceeds my expectations. I've had it for about three months and use it constantly; it's been to the coast, through 100-degree weather, and through rain here in Texas. Craftsmanship and durability are both excellent. My 2011 Toyota Tacoma is perfect for the small size (it even works with my rear view camera and tailgate lever). It's simple to put on and take off, as well as clean. Ensures that the bike is held firmly in place. Couldn't be more pleased!.
For the money, this is an excellent bike pad! Although I have a front mount rack for the geopro, we decided not to use it on this trip because it only holds two bikes. So I launch the Amazon Prime shopping app and start browsing. I was initially drawn to this Demon pad because of its low price, but as I read through the reviews, I realized there was more to it than that; in my experience, it is simple to install and mount bikes to. After a 500-mile round trip to Bryce Canyon National Park, the truck was in perfect condition, and the bikes were in perfect condition as well! br>Your backup camera will not work. Aside from that, this is extremely high-quality gear. Now, I was of the generation that drove cars before they had backup cameras, so I wasn't too concerned about not having one. That said, it took a little getting used to not being able to use it and relying solely on my mirrors to hook back up to the campground trailer. br>I prefer this to other well-known brands such as Thule, Yakima, Dakine, and Fox. It has a higher quality feel to it.
I could have gotten one from Fox Racing for an extra $20. I didn't because of two factors: I don't care if I look like a jerk for representing Fox, just like I don't care if I look like a jerk for representing Nike. That's no problem for my Dodge diesel. Second, other reviews indicated that it was good, so I purchased it. br>br>It's excellent. It's well-padded and complements the truck nicely. I don't use them because the "tool storage" isn't water resistant, and my tools will get wet. It's also difficult to set up: While making the three straps go through the tiny gap between the bed and the tailgate, you must hold the tailgate half open with your chest. br>br>Don't plan on taking it off, and it's too difficult to ride with it on. br>br>Overall, it holds the bikes well and looks/feels high-quality. I just wish it was a little more straightforward to set up.
This device is incredible! It's very simple to put together and it fits perfectly! It's well-padded and has a super soft underside, so I don't have to worry about it scratching my truck or damaging my bike, and the bike straps are extremely secure. Once the bikes and the protector are fully loaded, there is no movement from either of them. I'm not sure why so many people claim that they're difficult to put together. The straps feed up through the tailgate quickly and easily in my F350 Super Duty truck. Perhaps if you had T- It would be a problem if Rex's arms were involved.
It held all of the bikes perfectly well on a 2018 GMC truck and wasn't difficult to put on at all during a 12-hour drive to West Texas for Dirt Fest. I'm not sure why people were perplexed about how to install it on the truck; it's pretty straightforward. It will undoubtedly be put to good use.
The tailgate latch flap is exactly what I needed, and I had no trouble installing it. It only took about 10 minutes the first time, so it wasn't a big deal. **ONLY 5 *** bike tie down velco straps are available in the SMALL size. The inside tool/gear pockets zip close, and the cover has Velcro to keep it in place, as shown in the pictures, not the small size. In comparison to a few others I've touched in a real-world store, the padding is quite thick. The top has non-slip stripes to help you align your bike with the Velcro straps that hold it in place. This inside material that touches your truck's paint is NICE and SOFT, almost like microfiber? However, it is soft, so it should play nicely with your car's paint. The workmanship is nice, but I've only had it for a week and have only used it three times. WE'LL SEE IF IT HOLDS UP OVER TIME AND WITH USE. After a few months, I'll make an effort to remember to update it. I don't believe you can go wrong for $70. I'm sure it'll last as long as a pair that costs twice as much!.
