I'm not sure about the warranty, but I can tell you that the bike itself is fantastic. The tires on it grip the road well, and the rims were straight when I got them and remain so. Since then, I've added a 1500 watt electric motor to the rear, which has been a fantastic addition. It's a smooth ride, and I get compliments wherever I go. The brakes were the only problem I had with the bike, which I was able to resolve. They began squealing and squealing and squealing and squealing and This could be caused by the electric motor prematurely wearing the brakes. As a result, I'm the one who has to deal with that problem. It's been a pleasure to ride this bike, and I'd recommend it to anyone. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Tire biking is a sport that involves riding a bicycle on This review is for those who are still not convinced that spending $1000 on fat tire biking is a good idea. br>br>The Hitch was delivered in perfect condition. It came in its own box, which was then encased in another box. I weighed the entire rig (with stock pedals and seat) after about 15 minutes of assembly. It weighed around 44 pounds. The seat post took some effort to tighten around the seat, but it was secure once it was done (don't forget to grease your seat post). br>br>After calibrating the brakes, I discovered that the front rotor was not completely "trued" (thus 1 star deducted) and that the front wheels were still scraping. The scraping sound had gone away after two miles of riding, and the brake pads were well seated. The Hitch is, of course, heavier than the more expensive aluminum bikes because it is made of steel. The ride quality, on the other hand, is stable and almost bouncy, and the braking power is adequate if the brakes have been properly calibrated. I have yet to put it through its paces on the trails, but I have ridden it in the snow and ice (on Ottawa's streets) with 10 PSI on both front and rear tires. The tires were surefooted and grippy. The 7-speed transmission may be a stumbling block for those who aren't in top shape (like me), but I'll be using it on flat to moderately rolling trails rather than extreme technical trails. I figure that by adding 25 pounds to my aluminum frame CAAD10, I'll be able to get stronger legs and lungs. At $249, you can't go wrong with this option, which comes with drilled out rims and disc brakes, and allows you to jump right into the fun world of fat biking.
I'll start with the disadvantages. I personally detested the seat, and because I'm a larger man (6' 4" 300 lbs), I had to purchase a replacement. The tires are fatty, which makes steering difficult if you aren't used to it; however, after about 10 minutes, it became much easier. You can feel the weight of the bike, which is about 45 pounds. Good fat bike for the money, came double boxed, and was simple to assemble. However, I took the factory tires off and replaced them with 26 x 4 tires right out of the box. 5" (yes, they barely fit, but they do) and Shimano Megarange MF- The TZ31 freewheel makes a huge difference on hills and other terrains. I also upgraded the twist shifter to a Shimano Tourney SL-II. TX30 and hand grips (must when removing the twist shifter), taller stem riser, and Shimano Tourney Calipers with Shimano 180mm front rotor and 160mm rear rotor. (Factory brakes were warped out of the box and had poor stopping power and a grinding sound) I also removed the factory kickstand, which seemed short and unstable, and replaced it with a side frame stand, which allows the bike to sit straighter and more securely. After the upgrades, the bike is now in excellent condition. I really like the color red. Although the wheels appear to be black, they are actually a deep metallic blue. If you can get it to close to 200, you'll have a good shot. 00 range, which is a good deal, but the price seems to fluctuate every other day.

The . Only one came double boxed out of two that I bought. The other was single-boxed, with the crank arm hanging outside the box and scrapes and paint missing. Cherry red is the color of one of the bicycles. The other is a darker shade of black cherry, almost maroon. Each bike had a different front badge, a different derailleur, and a different handle bar stem. I believe I have two bikes from different manufacturing years or a different model with Hitch decals applied as an afterthought.
