It is necessary to assemble the item. But it isn't difficult in the least. My bike was completely self-assembled.
Yes, I believe that is correct. The tires aren't as skinny as they appear to be. It allows me to go up and down a curb.
This is probably a bike that is too tall for you. I'm 5'9", so I'd say it'd fit someone between 5'7" and 6'1".

It's very simple to put together. The front wheel spokes were loose right out of the box, and the rear brake cable was frayed. Built-in shocks are built into the front forks, which are useful but too stiff to be of much use. The single rear shock is a nice feature that appears to function properly. In just ten days, I've racked up a couple hundred miles. I didn't mind tightening the front spokes for the price, and the frayed rear brake cable has no bearing on functionality. It did not have Shimano gears, according to some other reviews. This one did, and it appears to be very effective.
To begin, I'll say that putting this bike together is fairly simple. The front tire and brakes were already attached to the bike, so all you had to do was connect them. To put it another way, this is the worst bike I've ever ridden. The bike will not accelerate, and your feet will either spin off the foot pedals or overwork to slow it down. I experimented with various speeds and gears, but nothing seemed to help. Riding this bike on the road is extremely difficult. I'm not sure how the bike would handle different terrains.
I was extremely disappointed; I received my bike in April but did not have the opportunity to open the package and assemble it until today; I was getting ready for a weekend bike ride when I discovered that the package was missing an important part that helps connect the handle to the front wheel to maintain balance and aid in steering; I am unable to use the bike at this time; it is extremely disappointing! Also, the bike usually comes with a tool kit; fortunately, I already had one because the package didn't include even a hex wrench!.
It was clear that the bike frame was a return. Several areas of the paint have been gouged. There are still bits of gravel and road grit embedded in the paint, as well as damaged stickers, so it's not due to paint defects. br>Fortunately, the blemished frame appeared to come with all new components. I had it inspected for safety ($30, including minor adjustments) at a local repair shop. br>I will not purchase from this vendor in the future.
It's a nice bike, and it's fairly simple to assemble. The only gripe I have is that tightening the handlebars requires a fairly large HEX wrench, which I didn't have at first and was not happy about. Then I opened the package containing the new seat I had purchased for it, and one was included, so my problem was solved by chance lol.
It's for my granddaughter, and she seems to enjoy it. br>The welds aren't the best, and the wheels needed to be trued because they were bent and couldn't spin freely due to the brakes.
It's a lovely bike that was simple to put together. However, it is incredibly stiff and difficult to ride; I think I've grown accustomed to cruisers because even on the lowest setting, this bike appears difficult to ride.
It's a bad seat. It's very unsettling. The front tire brakes are extremely difficult to get on, and if they aren't perfect, they squeak horribly. The assembly instructions are difficult to understand and follow.
