Questions & Answers

Can I use this with the applicator bottle that comes with it?

Are you referring to the smaller bottle when you say applicator bottle? You do get a smaller bottle with it. I like this stuff a lot. According to a review which compared the efficiency of some 20 lubes using a mechanical set-up, the effectiveness of over 20 of them was comparable. There was an extreme version of Rock n Roll that came in 4th, better than Rock n Roll Gold! They were only better if they were wax lubes that had to be reapplied There is a lot of application, but they don't last. In addition to not gunking up, Extreme is also oil-free.

Please see below for vendors How much RnR Gold do you have in 16 ounce sizes?

Despite the fact I am not the vendor, the 16oz sizes do come. This is a product I purchased

What is the difference between Gold and Extreme?

It seems like the extreme was designed for wet situations. It can still be used for dry conditions. The gold is a bit lighter and is meant for only dry use. So far, that's how I understand it.

I noticed that the bottom of my last bottle seemed to have more wax. Is it still ok to use?

I think it should be alright. Whenever I give it a good shake before applying the wax, I just toss a small metal nut into it to help disperse the wax.

Best of the best! Between 1994 and the present, I have been working in bike shops My cycling experience began in 2004 and I have ridden in all kinds of weather conditions, on all kinds of terrain, and in The business I own and run today is a pedicab service, and I maintain my pedicabs through it
5/5

It is the best lube I have ever used. My first dry lube experience dates back to when dry lubes first came out, and I used dry lube on a one-day epic ride with rain, dust, 12 stream crossings, and a lot My chain had lost most of its lube not long after it had been applied. As a result of rain and streams, dry lube washed away. Unlike traditional lube, I find it difficult to attract dirt with it, but it does resist It is a dry lubricant that does not work up dirt and is water proof as well. Secondly, it is a better cleaner than most. I mean it! When you pour it liberally on a dirty chain, you get about 4 or 5 rags and you wipe and wipe and wipe and wipe until it's gone. You can't It's easier to wipe away the grime, but the lube stays where it's needed (at the pivot points on the chain). Now that I use just plain old apply and wipe when cleaning my bikes, I no longer use chain cleaners and degreasers. I use it on my kids' bikes, my mountain bikes, my road bikes and even my work trucks and pedicabs.

We've been using it for thousands of miles with no problems
5/5

Since I started using RnR Extreme over a decade ago, I have successfully driven thousands of miles with it. There are lots of singletrack and dirt roads that I ride, as well as a few miles of paved roads. Strava has given me a few KOMs, but I've never raced, so I can't claim to be a Dirt-riding has become a way of life for me. I ride about 100 miles With this stuff, I don't have to worry about my chain all year. As a rule, I wipe my chain and reapply again after every ride to keep things running smoothly. I can easily go 200 miles between applications without any problems though. I found this stuff to be much less messy than Finish Line Ceramic Lube as well as Tri Flow. However, most lubes collect crud and ultimately lead to friction. As for lubes, I have used RnR Road and Gold here and there over the years, but there are usually a few puddles on the trails I ride, so the Extreme lube is imperative. When the summer comes, I might use the Gold. Mostly I ride a mountain bike now, but I do 20-mile road bike rides every now and then We ride on the road for 60 miles per week between our house and dirt areas. The Extreme is ideal for those rides. I have used both the Red road formula and the Extreme formula on a road bike and the Extreme seems to be a fine substitute. Also, I can say that I had no problems using the road formula on my mountain bike, but I do not have any long-term experience mixing the two in their intended applications. When I switched from Tri Flow to RnR about 9 years ago, I only used Finish Line's Ceramic lube since I couldn't find RnR while I was on vacation. I admit I don't have a lot of experience with competition, but I have tons of practice with this kind of.

We have created the last chainlube you will ever need
5/5

Rock'n Roll lube is now on six of my bikes, including my two MTBs. I am using the blue Extreme lube on my two road bikes. Taking the time to thoroughly clean the drivetrain, and then applying this lube two or three times before using it. It would mean a new drivetrain runs smoothly, quiet, and stays so clean for a long time. Like most lubes, this lube does not leave a greasy residue behind, which means dirt, mud, and dust can't stick to it. My primary use of this lube will be on MTBs now, and I could not be more pleased. You should clean, apply, apply, ride, and wipe clean after every ride. After washing or whenever it becomes noisy, you should apply it. There is no need to worry about annoying drivetrain issues anymore. The product is fantastic! I can't say enough good things about it!.

I've found it to be the best
5/5

The Pisgah area is 3 miles away from where I ride As often as the trail conditions permit, 5 times a week. When I'm 60 or older An average of 90 miles separate each application. Checking the chain stretch every time I lube is something I do regularly. I have never used a better lube than this one. It's OK to have the Gold, but I prefer to have the Blue. It is any time I am caught in a downpour, have to ride across more than one creek crossing, or have to wash my bike before I can ride again. At a time when $60 chains and $200-plus cuff links were the norm A $400 cassette for a 1x drivetrain I'm looking for something that will help me extend the life and performance of my equipment. As others have said, apply liberally, move the crank arm a few times to help with penetration, and dry the chain continuously until it is completely My usual procedure is to apply the night before, wipe dry, and then wipe down the chain once more the following.

Bag of mixed items
3/5

Despite its favorable feature of keeping your chain looking clean, it does not stay on your chain for very long. The worst thing about it is that it does not hold up very well. My old lube works just fine, and I will revert to it in the future. I have used RnR extreme for about a year now. I believe it was a worthwhile experiment, but the last step was transferring it to the application bottle and shaking it vigorously before applying it every time. I apply it as far from the brake rotor as possible and lay a bag over the rotor now to prevent spills. For summers with high humidity or dry and dusty conditions, it is too much trouble and does not stay on during multiple rides.

This is damn close to the five-star chain lube but I am still searching for it
4/5

If I had to commute in the rain every day, my chain would squeak the next morning, so maybe I shouldn't give this item five stars. It looks like hell from rust. The chain lube I was using was different. I don't see any squeaks now, but should I be worried that my chain looks like it's been sitting on the sidelines for a while? Could it be? Could it be? I like the fact that it's clean. When you use the chain, you must wipe it dry and allow it to dry further. After the chain dries the next day, it is really dry. The surface does not adhere to anything. When it rains, it turns rust brown, so I have to lube it again if I want it to look nice, or if I don't, it looks like a homeless guy's bike. But it doesn't squeak. It's hard for me to make up my mind. There isn't a lot of this stuff, and if you follow the instructions, you'll use a lot of it. ideal if the coating left behind some kind of magical rust-proof coating on the inside of the chain, as it seems to lubricate the inside of the chain as well. By the way, it rains a lot in Florida, and I don't mind getting damp.

The chain lube I use on a weekly basis is good
5/5

For my bike, I have 2 chains that I rotate every month. Therefore, it's better for my drive train to be A chain costs only about $25 for a bike that costs about $1000. You may think this is a little excessive for a bike that costs about $1000. We offer cheap insurance to make sure everything stays on track. There is no noise from the chains when this product is in use. Since it is quite, it provides excellent lubrication, and I use it for that reason.
