A tradeoff is part of every decision we make in life. Similar to other products, this one does not differ. There is no doubt that it is a great It falls short, however, compared to a professional, industrial grade, biodegradable degreaser. I tested Pig Juice against Pedro's Oranj Peelz and Simple Green's Heavy Duty Cleaner 13421. However, Oranj Peelz and Pro HD did a much better job of cleaning the chain, despite the fact that neither of them are biodegradable. It is the disposal of these products that is problematic. You will not feel guilty about flushing Pig Juice down the toilet as long as you do not use it over and over again, until the color and consistency of it becomes similar to used motor oil. You absolutely cannot say the same for non-biodegradable degreasers, which are stronger, but infinitely more problematic.
To get the job done, you'll still have to put in some elbow grease. Put your brushes to good use and get started. It is important to remember, as others have noted, that "biodegradable" is not synonymous with "non-biodegradable. " From a strictly scientific standpoint, all substances degrade with enough time, so I'm not sure exactly what "biodegradable" means in this case, but from a purely pragmatic standpoint, this stuff does not cause nasty chemical reactions that degrade other materials that are otherwise in play. Thus, the precious grease inside your bottom bracket or bushings on your frame should not be destroyed if some leaks into them (let's hope so). It's still a good idea to be tender with the use of any degreaser and avoid getting it near bearing points as much as possible. Make sure you tilt your bike so that drips roll away from the bottom bracket when cleaning the chain, and remove the rear wheel to protect the hub when you do so. My second step after cleaning the drive train is to wash the bike very well. Whenever you use it on the cassette, tilt the wheel to move the liquid away from the hub when the wheel is removed. There is a good video on Park Tools' website which shows how to do it. You should watch it if you have never been involved in cleaning before. Practicing on an old bicycle is also a lot easier for kids. They will grow out of it before you notice anything wrong. Having used other brands of auto degreasers, this one does seem to be safer and gets the job done in a way that makes me feel that it is safe to use on my precious machine. I should mention that it works nicely with water and seems to wash away easily. My first attempt to remove the grime from some chain was to use a Schminn degreaser. It failed to do the job because I needed another solvent to remove it from the chain.
of Pig Juice, after using it a few times now, is that it works well enough, not great, just fine. It works much as distilled water and floor cleaner do. There are lots of soap bubbles left behind. For a much lesser amount of money, it would have been better if I had made it myself.
From a review on cyclingtips. com, we learned that chain cleaners can also be used to clean the chain. In the end, this degreaser took the top spot. It's been a long time since I have used Pedros products, and I am generally pleased There is no better chain cleaner out there, and it is biodegradable. The Park chain cleaner and this product helped me to clean three of my bike chains (a new solution was used for each bike) and I was quite simply amazed with how well it degreased the chains. I really like what you did. Even though I do not recommend drinking it, it is comforting to know that it will not destroy everything it touches and will decay over time.
When combined with Pedro's chain pig, this is the perfect cleaning product for chain chains. I like it really much. Compared to other cleaning systems, this is convenient, quick, and cleans the chain better, too The chain off the bike is more challenging than anything I can do with the chain on.
I cleaned them today and this got all of them The muck on my chain fell off in real time when I used Park tool chain cleaner. As soon as I am done with it, I will definitely purchase again.
It was easy to use and was pretty hands-free with the hook. The chain cleaner is significantly better than the one I have at home. It would be helpful to watch the.
It has worked well. It's easy to see the grime falling off the chain and cassette as you wash it off.
