Product Description

Designed to reduce slippage between clamped carbon fiber surfaces, Fiber Grip(TM) Carbon Fiber Assembly Gel reduces slippage between clamped carbon fiber By using Fiber Grip, there is no need to overtighten clamps to ensure tight
Carbon fiber parts such as stems, handlebars, seat posts, and seat tubes can be made to last longer by applying Fiber Grip as a thin film on clamping areas to eliminate overtightening that causes internal fractures and fatigue.
The carbon fiber components are tested and approved by manufacturers of carbon fiber components. The crystal clear, non-staining, non-toxic product

Questions & Answers

Do you think this is an improvement over Phil Wood? With Phil I'm having slight slippage since the grit is fine. Is that expected?

My experience has been that the Finish Line Assembly Gel does not slip when used on different surfaces as a torque value reducer - so far it hasn't caused any issues. A fiber can be attached to a fiber, a steel can be attached to a steel, and an aluminum can be attached to an In each assembly I am consistent with or below the maximum torque value of the given part without The prep grains are like the sand you find in your shoes at the beach or sand paper with a medium-to-fine grit.

Are these going to work on aluminum seatposts made from forged metal?

The metal or fiber works with any metal or I would say it's a very good product. This is the best product I've found for fixing a creak on my carbon fiber seatpost on an aluminum frame. It works perfectly.

Could this also be used on a pressed in bottom bracket?

Carbon to carbon fittings are compatible with fiber grips. The problem is that if your B/B cups aren't carbon, but aluminum, this will not be Visit one of the shops.

Is it able to work on ?

If you want to work on steel, then this is the method you need. Parts made of steel are generally not in need of additional friction compounds, since they can handle more torque. It is also true that steel often needs some lubricant, which is in direct opposition to

Thank you Finish Line for solving my seat post creaks
5/5

My new Cervelo R3 all carbon road bike had a creak coming from below the clamp and the sound became unbearable due to the creaks. I would like to thank you for solving this issue. By using the Ritchey TorKey to tighten the seat post clamp, the creak did not disappear. My only option to get rid of the creaks was to raise the seatpost too high to ride comfortably. Firstly, I removed the seatpost and cleaned it along with the top inside of the down tube of the frame. My second step was to wrap electrical tape around the seatpost to mark how far it needed to be inserted into the frame to achieve a proper riding height. The third step was to put a thin layer of it on the two inches below the electrical tape as well as the two to three inches beneath it. Finally, I inserted a thin layer of insulating material as far down as the frame down tube would go. My last step was to connect the seatpost to the electrical tape with my TorKey and tighten it. From now on, there will be no What a joy it is to be silent!.

I try it on my carbon seat posts and it works like a charm
5/5

bought this for the first time since I have never owned a carbon frame before. It also has a carbon seat post. After a few hundred miles on the bike it developed a dreadful creaking sound that I knew came from the saddle or the seat post because it stopped After taking it home, disassembling it and cleaning it thoroughly, I put it back together. In the late winter and early spring, it was dirty outside! While cleaning alone left the cladding in pretty grave condition, it did stop creaking somewhat. It was about to get greased I was about to do what I would do for a steel or aluminum bike, but I paused and did a quick scan. It was easy to apply this stuff, and it was quiet when it was done! I don't want it to get greasy so I don't want it so messy. However, it does exactly what it is supposed to do! Now that I've gotten used to ride in my ears, it's a whole lot easier!.

It is a must have for any The carbon fiber handlebars I installed are cool, but since carbon fiber can be crushed if overused, I wanted them to be smaller I had my reservations about this product but I went ahead and ordered it anyway
5/5

The brake levers kept creeping off, the stem also loosened when going over bumpy terrain, etc. I had my reservations about this product but I went ahead and ordered it anyway. The fact that it grabs so well with such little torque was very surprising to me. There is grit contained in the gel to hold, but not to glue. You might call it very high-tech, but it works well for all carbon products - such as seats - Carbon fiber is great for posts, etc. , so you need this product for all your carbon fiber components!.

This feeling of sinking has gone
5/5

Following its stripping by a former owner, my aluminum seatpost on aluminum frame continued to sag after it was stripped. The size of this puzzle It suited my purpose), The manufacturer believes that it may be deformed in some way. My attempt to tighten it also resulted in the breakage of the clamp. 'Bout a week ago, I took the advice of RJ the bike guy and tried it out. Clamp the sensor at the 7nm recommended by the manufacturer. My first two rides were a success The feeling of sinking became even stronger. I left the electrical tape exactly where I had placed Additionally, this is a good amount of money for multiple applications, so it is a more cost-effective option. Some are easily done with only a single application, while others are much more expensive. This is ideal!.

What are the pros and cons of slipping a cell phone holder into your Cell phone holders with spring loaded sides that fit in CD players are something I have
5/5

The phone is on a ball mount that allows it to swivel vertically or horizontally and tilt from side to side. No matter how tight I tightened the screw on the ball, it always seemed to loosen up and the phone was always wanting to tilt from horizontal to vertical. The item was found on a lark and I decided to order it. You've got to get on the ball a little bit and then you will succeed I love you! I wish you the best of luck attempting to rotate it This is an excellent product!.

There was a problem that was fixed
5/5

Having just bought a new 2019 Trek Madone SLR I'm very happy I found this product. When I ride for long periods of time, the seat post slides down. In the recent weeks, I have not had any slipping at all since I added a thin layer of the fiber grip around the base of the seat post and tightened the screws to 8 Nm. I used it for this purpose and it worked great.

You can also use it on aluminum! The source of a clicking sound that I believed was coming from the handlebars of my Giant Revolt 2 was finally found after spending an entire afternoon tracking it down
5/5

The funny bike noises that come from the seatpost. It is known that Giant's D-line has this issue As mentioned online by several sources, carbon paste may be a solution to fuse seatposts, so I decided to try it. I have been able to eliminate the noise after cleaning the seatpost and applying the paste to it as well as to the wedge that holds it in place. The trip I just went on was 10 days Perhaps one click was heard during my mile-long ride, but my imagination could have accounted for it. I think that was a wise $9 investment.

It is mandatory that carbon fiber is used
5/5

As a result, my handlebar and other components kept slipping even though I ignored all of the people who said carbon fiber assembly gel was necessary. I wasn't long before I hit the torque limit the car was still slipping like a soggy It took me a long time to realize that this gel helped the parts grip like they were welded with a lot The assembly kit for carbon fiber parts should include this if you are concerned that your components stay in place, and you do not want excessive torque to break your carbon fiber.
