The worst possible quality! 1. br>br> The axe's edge is skewed and crooked! I'll show you the image; I can't believe the most expensive GB aex can produce images of this quality. I'm not sure how I'm going to use this crooked and skewing axe; I'm afraid it'll break if I take it camping. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The handle is dark in color and does not have the attractive appearance that you describe. This is the first time I've ever wanted to return a product!.

Gransfors has terrible customer service. Instead, go to Hults Bruk. My hatchet arrived in good condition, with the exception of a poor quality sheath. The top bit edge had cut through it when it arrived. I've owned a few of these and know how tight and close they can get, but this one was far too small. When I contacted GB, they essentially stated that they would accept no responsibility. br>Now is the time to ask yourself: do you want to spend twice as much on a nice axe but be backed by a company with terrible customer service? I'm not impressed with GB's attempt to blame the consumer for their QC problems.

Or, more broadly, GBA. ***Axes for the GBA should not be purchased on Amazon! I bought this hatchet a few years ago and it broke the second time I used it, which was very disappointing. When the corner of the edge chipped off while I was chopping a branch from a tree no larger than 4 inches in diameter. When I contacted the company, they informed me that if the item was purchased on eBay or Amazon, the warranty would be voided. GBA sells overpriced brittle junk metal, so I'll be looking for a better hatchet from another company.

The geometry of the handle affects the blade alignment. In a product this price range, this is completely unacceptable. Both my original and replacement were incorrect. This leads me to believe that these are GB quality rejects.

The handle is made of beautiful wood. The wood grain is perfectly straight, and the edge is exceptional - it appears to have been oiled once or twice. with ease straight. I have quite a few fixed blades in my collection. Axes and folding knives The vast majority of them never have a proper edge to begin with - Even when they say "scary sharp," they mean it. GB, on the other hand, delivers on their promise; this is my second GB product, and both have been truly "shaving sharp. " "For the first time in a long time, I didn't have to spend hours sanding the edge. It was brought up to snuff with a simple stropping. br>br>I assist my brother with various tasks outside, such as cutting wood. It's also very easy to hold and use, as it's not too heavy or clumsy. My brother, who is 6'2" 200 lbs, and I are both 5'8" 130 lbs females, and it fits perfectly in our hands. Unisex to the core. Even the 24" GB is comfortable for me to use; the heads appear to be heavy but are actually quite light for what they are. br>br>I highly recommend this for smaller jobs, and the 24" GB (Scandinavian Forest Axe) to accompany it for larger jobs. Although the leather cover included in the box is a bit flimsy, I appreciate the effort made to include something other than cardboard to protect the bit. If you want something more than the stock leather covers, check out "Review Outdoor Gear" on Amazon. I purchased their leather axe collars and axe sheaths, both of which are of excellent quality. artisanship. These are the only reasons I visit them. I'll also be purchasing a sheath for this GB if one is available.

I wanted to give this hatchet some time before writing a review. So, it's been a few months since we last spoke. I've taken it camping, carved stakes with it, and plan to use it to construct my home. Of course, there's also a chainsaw. But this thing is so well made that it's razor sharp right out of the box, and if you keep it sharp on a regular basis, you'll never need to use any serious sharpening tools. Before deciding on this hatchet, I watched a lot of videos on YouTube. I also used boiled linseed oil to treat the handle, then wrapped it in goat skin lace and made a leather belt loop holder for it to slide down into. I'd put my life in the hands of this tool. And I'm sure a lot of other people have said the same thing.

Two years ago, I made an Amazon purchase. br>br>Well, I gave in to the pressure and bought it. In hindsight, it wasn't the most financially sound decision, but whatever. It appeals to me. To appreciate the Wildlife's appearance and feel, it must be held. This blade was designed to be used as a general yard and camp work blade, and it performs admirably in that capacity. br>br>A quick rundown of what I like about this Lil' guy- I suppose an Estwing hatchet from the hardware store would have sufficed, but go big($$$) or go home, amirite?br>br>

- a sight to beholdbr>- a silky handle that is ergonomicbr>- The handle in my example has the most perfect grain possiblebr>- br>comfortable, even after long periods of usebr>- The shape of the head is ideal for limbing and carvingbr>- For fine carving detail, 'choking up' on the head is simple peasy. br>- Steel is a tough material. It quickly develops a wicked edge and (so far) resists chipping!
- If you're looking for a practical mask, leather is a good choice. br>- Despite the price difference, it is still less expensive than or comparable to many high-quality fixed bladesbr>- For me, it easily replaces larger knives in bulk (with the exception of machetes and similar tools)br>- made in a "green" manner by artisansbr>- 'signed' with pride by the artisansbr>- My son bequeathed it to himself (way, way prematurely, I hope) as evidence of its heirloom quality. )
- Did I mention she's stunning? br>br>There are a couple of things about this hatchet that I don't like, namely-

- I've accepted the price, but I understand why others would and will object.
- On receipt, the edge was not'shaving' sharp. Even if it's a minor nit, it's worth noting.
- The eye of the head had been punched a little off. When looking at the edge from toe to heel and down to the haft's end, you can see that the heel (lower blade edge only, top 'toe' is centered) is biased to the left. The heel still aligns within the haft approximately 33% in, as opposed to bisecting it perfectly at 50%. for those who are interested), but it is inconvenient. For the price, it's disappointing, but thankfully, this minor cant has no bearing on the swing. I can hit exactly where I want to, and I rarely have to look away. So, after two years, I can conclude that it is solely a mental problem. As a side note, the problem could be due to a faulty headband. I'll find out when I need to replace the handle. So keep an eye out for an update in the year 2035! br>br>However, it's an excellent tool in general. br>br>Now, I believe it's a combination of rising costs and limited availability, as well as high-quality alternatives: Condor, Husqvarna, Hults Bruk, Hults Bruk, Hults Bruk, Hults Bruk, Hult B Forge (United States of America! ), as well as Wetterlings and other creatures. This means it's not as good as I thought it was. Having said that, I'm satisfied with mine and believe that most people would be as well. Just double-check that it's exactly what you're looking for. br>br>I give it five stars, but in light of the aforementioned concerns, I'd give it four.
