Is this going to last in the event of a zombie Is this capable of taking down a large number of Zombies? Do you think this would work well to defeat Zombies horde?

This zombie outbreak X11 will allow you to go on living after enduring an outbreak of zombies, as it will be very short and the zombies will get close to you before you can hack their brains out.

There is an indication on the description of the country of origin as follows The Chinese people. I see that the product is made in Finland on the website. How does that work?

Exactly what you describe is what I also have trouble understanding. On the Fiskars website, it no longer says made in Finland, but just designed in Finland. *br>And "Made in Finland" seems to no longer be molded into the handle on the head of the axe On the head of my 9" Gerber, there is only the word "Finland" but there is also the word "Made in Finland" on the card that it came in. As a result of ascertaining that the Gerber was indeed made in Finland, I paid an extra amount for that model. I am having less in the way of success with this 14 inch model. However, they do not include images of card stock, box, or whatever so a person can know what they are buying before they buy it. *br>Typically, when Country of Origin is not listed, it means that they're not very proud of what they've made. It's manufactured in China, so I assume it's made there. I have a few Svea 123 camping stoves that I own. There is a stamp on the old ones that says "Made in Sweden"—and they It is true that the new ones are simply stamped "Sweden," since the company is located in that country. Quite a few people simply assume that "Sweden" on the stove base means that it has been manufactured in Sweden because they observe it on the stove base. It is my fear that this is what is happening. The "Finland" stamp on the axe head is seen by people who read "Made in Finland." However, maybe Fiskars doesn't like that sort of In case anyone missed it, I am not saying that a Chinese hatchet won't be good. I feel that Fiskars has less chance of success unless it maintains a direct presence at the factory to make sure quality control is in place.

What is the best way to sharpen it?

The 4" grinder should be fitted with a very fine flap wheel to sharpen the blade when it is facing the slope of the head. The diamond hone should be used to finish it and not against

What kind of steel?

Have done some digging on your behalf. Based on the best information that I could find, it This is made from Forged carbon steel and HRC 50 or higher That should answer your question.

It is not necessary to worry about chipping the blade
5/5

Several people have complained that the steel is too soft and that the blade chips easily. A friend told me this hatchet was fantastic, so I bought it with the idea that I could always send it back if it didn't meet My task was to cut wood from a downed fir tree into firewood and I used a rototiller to trim small branches and nubs missed by the chainsaw. Using wedges to split large logs, I also used it to cut strands that were caught in the rings. It was disappointing to see that the blade did just as other reviewers have described it and was chipped all along the blade after only In the end, I decided to resharpen it and realized the chips were not coming from the actual metal, but rather from the coating on the metal that was easily chipping. Blades had just a thick coat of paint on them. As soon as I sharpened it down to the bare metal, I was able to carry on with my work and the blade continued to perform as it should. There are no chips at all and it holds an edge very well. As a result of its light weight and high sharpness, this hatchet is very impressive.

There is nothing that dulls a razor blade more than dirt
3/5

I have a five-year-old model that is still razor sharp after constant abuse and never, ever sharpening. The light weight and easy swing of this one make it nice, but it does not cut very well. A log that I use to chop kindling is an old log that I have. As soon as I'm done, I bury my hatchets in the log. Despite being five years old, this Fiskars buries its self It buried itself once I sharpened it. It's my regular hatchet that I got from my dad. Immediately after bouncing off the log, the model goes back to the My fault is that I am lax in terms of maintenance, use and abuse of my tools, and don't anticipate much out of them. I expect more from a hatchet than this hatchet can deliver when I buy one that's supposed to be the sharpest thing since my grandma's tongue. The lemon might have been the case. happens all the time. The hatchet is going back to you. It will be easy for me to sharpen my old ones.

There are ads on their website advertising used and damaged tools at full price
3/5

When I bought this, the seller never mentioned that it was used and that the sheath had been broken. I am very disappointed that the handle feels very slippery, like it is coated with oil or grease. This is my first used slimmy tool from Fiskars and I'm very disappointed as I have other Fiskar products. If I had to rate it negatively, it would be no stars. When I buy an item, I like to get value for my money. I usually pay a full price for it.

I don't like junk steel at all! This is how the edge After I unpacked it this morning, I treated the edges with some Diamond hones
3/5

Initially, I was going to install it, but I decided to test it out on a split Osage orange tree. A very small piece of the corner has been shaved off. Take a look at the edge, and see what happened! Hardness has now been added to this steel. It's from China, so there's no surprise there, but Fiskars? The price of replacing it and just returning it is a little too high for me right now. It was a huge disappointment! Does anyone know where the "No Stars" are?.

For outdoor adventures, this is my hatchet of choice! Outdoor adventures and camping trips are where I use this bad boy the most
5/5

Quite a bit of wood and brush has to be cut. This was the last time I took this on a cold camping trip where we kept the fire going all night, which required a lot of wood to fuel it. The spot had no dead wood, so I had to use this Hatchet to cut down a pretty large tree, which we stacked for the night with a good amount of wood I had splintered from the tree. In my opinion, it was an extremely difficult task no matter which way you saw it, but for a fourteen" hatchet to tackle this was beyond my comprehension. A good quality blade that can easily be swung I found the balance to be perfect, making it easy for my brush and small tasks to be completed. Furthermore, it allowed me to cut down a huge tree with ease! For the woods, this is my go-to buddy D I'm very pleased with it ).

Buying local may be a good idea
5/5

A recent update It was just as promised, Fiskers sent me a new hatchet to replace the original purchase, an excellent customer service move on their part. Please take the time to read the entire review. The son of mine- I got one of these hatchets and their splitting axe from my brother. The one I ordered kept rolling over, and it held an edge no matter how much I tried. Upon sending my complaint to Fiskers, they said that I would receive a new one in the near future. The next day, I received a shipping confirmation. The product will get a 5 star rating if it is a good one. In most cases, if you return it to a local retailer, you can get a replacement. A bad part can be produced in mass production by anyone, it's the response to the complaint that matters.

I also look for products that will handle the task of cutting wood well, but I also seek out the Fiskars brand
5/5

With the wedge shape power head and super sharp cutting/chopping edge paired with the ergonomic 14" handle, this hatchet goes above and beyond my expectations. With the way it's balanced and how the head is constructed, it maximizes every swing, resulting in a good split in small to medium It can be quite convenient to split logs with this hatchet since it does exactly as it promises, and will do so quickly and easily. The machine split logs with a diameter of approximately 5" and a 15" length with little effort on my part. Make sure the surrounding area is free of obstructions and that you have a solid base to aid the splitting process. Protect your little ones by wearing safety glasses and keeping them on a safe surface Make sure your pets are out of the way while you use the As the cutting edges are ultra sharp, you can cut clean and deep, while the unique head design drives your power into the log so it is split more efficiently. surprised by the quality of Fiskars 14" X 7 hatchet as Fiskars has the reputation of making excellent axes, wedges, and hatchets that are reliable and deliver true cutting where ever you need them! By fitting comfortably into your hand, the handle allows for the power to be transferred into the head for easier cutting and splitting of wood. This tool has been in my hands every day since I received it, and I have chopped limbs, split fire logs, kindled and trimmed low-level bushes with it. Despite the blade being old, it still is incredibly sharp and can be wiped clean with a cloth before being stowed away in its With the Fiskars reputation and quality, it's lightweight, durable, sharp, powerful and comes with a FULL lifetime warranty. If you want a hatchet that will meet and exceed all of your expectations, there is nothing more you need to consider. You can always trust this hatchet for quality when you need it most. I have several axes and hatchets for miscellaneous work, but I usually turn to my "Fiskars" when I need one that will get the job done quickly, efficiently and effectively!.
