Questions & Answers

I'm interested in learning how to throw a tomahawk. What do you recommend?

When I learned to use a hatchet, I used a double bit. It happened to me that the NRA gave me a promo item that I didn't care if it got damaged. Any method that gives you more than one surface to stick it with is good since you won't have to chase it as much and it will soothe your ego because you are sticking more than one tenth. One of these is designed to be thrown by SOG. The name of the device escapes me, but even though I own one, it has an angled spike that allows it to stick most of the time. Depending on the color, it might be called the blue or The best thing is to go with one that you can find.

What country does it come from?

Thank you for your understanding. There's no way to know for sure. Aside from a brief scan of the axe and sheath itself, I wasn't able to find out what it was. After I looked up Cold Steel Secure Ex on Google, I found this page. And you still couldn't figure it out after all that, but you could continue along that path. The axe is one of my favorite tools. Despite its sharpness and durability, it is incredibly strong. The only wood I've used it on so far is plastic. Thank you for contacting me. I'm sorry I couldn't offer more assistance.

Do you know whether this hawk is a full tang model?

This is not the case. In order for the hawk's head to attach to the body, it is attached

Are there any sheaths included with this blade?

In short, yes. Although it is primarily used for storage, not for rapid deployment or easy transport. This is what I came up with.

It's awesome that this exists

A great deal of weight for a light piece of gear. It is a great value and worth every dollar. Despite its weight, the handle is incredibly There is a poly escrima stick and a poly axe head cane in my possession. I am using the same materials. There is no way I will break mine. This is what I got and put to use. used it to rough out a kuksa from a piece of hickory that was 8"x3". I liked it a lot. As a matter of course, I sharpened it afterward. There are too many things that I like about it to mention. Only one con I found is as others have said A little slipping is present on the handle. In the end, I wrapped it with paracord and tarred twine but it turned out to be Adding contour to them, sandpapering them, stippling them, spraying them with flex seal, going under water, tennis racket tape, are all things I have seen done on them. It would be awesome if I could make them all look like this, but it would be ugly and take a lot of time. After searching the forums for something else (isn't it always that way) I came across a solution that fit the bill for what I was looking for and it also worked perfectly for the handle I needed. The solution to that problem is
. I'm not sure. Please keep reading. I'm not sure. I am referring to hockey tape. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. Please keep reading. In a sense, I was not expecting much from my purchase of a couple of rolls, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really like how thin and sticky this product is. It doesn't make it difficult to work with and adheres well By using this, I don't need to worry about the tomahawk leaving my hand. is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. My hammers, 32oz peen, hand sledge, old sword handle, a couple of bokken, my son's wooden sword, the ASP Street Defender, my maglite, my Streamlight Classic have all been treated with it. There is as much value in this tape as there is in There is the hawk and there is There will be no disappointment for you.

You need to be careful with the case if you want to use this
4/5

My only complaint about this tomahawk is that it's a bit heavy. As far as the handle goes, it is fantastic, really durable, it is useful as a billy club in a pinch (I deal with a lot of drunks and drug addicts), and it is cheap to replace if you While the grip is nearly nonexistent, the handle does not offer any protection. My paracord is usable since it is tied together with paracord. Despite my efforts, the blade is nice and strong, and I have no problem cutting through anything I have The blade on my chainsaw stayed intact after I used it to cut a tree with a 5 inch diameter in under a minute. My blade has only been nicked a couple times since I bought it. The nicks were either caused by rocks stuck in the wood, or by nails. In addition to going through hard hats, bicycle helmets, motorcycle helmets, and steel, this spike can go through just about anything else you can think of. It was only the sheath that I had a problem with. The plastic of the sheath as well as the rivet broke when I dropped the sheath once.

Hawks are not what I want from them, but they're not that bad
3/5

Even though I think this is a great axe and looks awesome, I have to admit that it gets left behind after trying out other alternatives. I think it is pretty good for what it is. It looks great, I really like it. I like the way the blade cuts. There is viciousness in the spike. at the end of the day, I wouldn't want anything to do with the Trench Hawk. I think it's really heady As for that head being attached to the handle, not a plus (or very tomahawk-looking I like that). After much debate, I found a modified Trail Hawk (which had the stupid set screw removed) to be a better fit. Streamlines the throwing motion, throws farther, and (once the set screw is removed) becomes a tomahawk that can be used in several ways with an easily removed Though I don't dislike the Trench Hawk, I think its aesthetic quality makes up for more Despite liking it, I'm not inclined to take a Trench Hawk with me when I go into the bush.

It is the greatest Zombie Weapon, Tool, and Display Object that I have ever seen
5/5

The axe/tomahawk itself is perfect. The one I received is defect-free. I received it in a decent-sized shipping container when I received it. A few strips of those giant air bubbles and the axe were the first things I noticed when I opened it. There was only a thin layer of plastic covering the axe. Because there was no box for the item itself, there is no way to tell if it is from Cold Steel or what the item is. To put it another way, the packaging could be more attractive. My expectation of Cold Steel was more than a piece of plastic wrapped around my One of the main reasons I bought the axe was because of the sheath. This was pretty cool to watch, and I wasn't The paper holding the grease/oil on my blade was removed when I removed the sheath. I think this was probably to prevent the blade from being damaged. Afterward, I wiped down the axe with a cloth to remove the oils. After testing the axe's sharpness, I found it to be sufficiently sharp. Paper can be cut relatively smoothly, but it is not consistently sharp and sharp throughout As a matter of curiosity, the area close to the head of the axe that you can ergonomically hold can be seen in the picture above. As the spike on this is very sharp, it can definitely be used as a weapon in the event of a The chances of the zombie apocalypse occurring are going to be near 0%, but it is still quite fun to have around. *The handle is very durable and it feels very A total of 2 pounds 3 ounces or 990 grams make up the weight of the item. Having a heft to it makes it feel nice. If you want the best axe for the money, regardless of whether you are using it for repair work, fun damage, or self defense, then this is a solid choice. It has plenty of power and it is effective. There is a slightly higher cost than some lower end models, but it is worth the extra money The price has gone up by $20.
