It's a nice piece for the price, but it's a bit boring
4/5

For basic chopping of small pieces of wood for camping, this is a good piece to have on hand. It's small enough to stow away in a backpack. The grip on the handle is excellent. br>br>However, it was incredibly boring. It only left a dent when used against wood. I used an angle grinder to make it a little sharper.

At this price, it's a steal
4/5

But keep in mind that to get the most out of it, you'll need to sharpen it. br>br>Last year, I purchased an identical one from a different seller under a different brand name, but it was clearly manufactured in China. I bought the second one to keep under the seat of my car in case of an emergency. I just checked, and they've increased the price I paid for mine from the other seller by a factor of two. Here's how I felt about it, and it applies to this situation: I will say that, unlike my first one from the other seller, someone went out of their way to make a very shallow wide v-neck. on this one, you have the upper hand So, if you're just going to use it without sharpening it, it's not quite as blunt as the one I bought from the other seller. However, I recently finished adding a deeper convex edge to it, and it is now much more effective. So it won't stick in the wood, you'll want a convex edge, also known as an ax edge. You used a narrow v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped It will stick if you put it on the edge. You want a deep convex edge, not one that is dull, as some reviews suggest. It is, in fact, a small ax rather than a hammer. Cutting with a sharp edge gives you more control and allows you to cut much faster. br>br>I believe the best method is to use a belt sander. It's just how a belt sander sharpens itself to create a convex shape. Not only will it take much longer if you do it by hand with a puck stone, but you'll also require a bit of technique to achieve the convex shape. It is possible, but doing it by hand will require a significant amount of sweat equity.

Good axe! It's as drab as it gets
5/5

This is a fantastic axe. It isn't very sharp, so you'll need a sharpener. It's fantastic now that I've sharpened it. The only reason I didn't knock a star off is because the price was unbelievable. $13 is hard to beat. You can't do it, no matter how hard you try. br>br>This axe is well worth the money. The naysayers who complain that it isn't sharp enough and who slam it. its $13! You must expect a divine weapon of mass destruction for $13 from you, poor son of a gun. xDbr>br>I like it; it arrived in a day, I sharpened it, it's sturdy, and it feels good in my hand. boom.

On Amazon, the most revolting axe
3/5

This is a nightmare! Aside from the fact that the box was crushed upon delivery, the axe has no edge, not a dull edge, but no edge at all! The tape adhesive on the axe head is visible, and the rectangular outline of the tape can be seen. The handle was never finished; there was still a lot of flashing on it, and it was incredibly sticky with what appeared to be tape adhesive near the bottom of the handle; an incredible waste of money; stay away from this piece of garbage!.

There are no issues
5/5

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who got the axe in perfect working order - Sharp and brand new, with a protective cover. I have no complaints; for the price, it was a fantastic purchase. It has already been used several times as a result of broken tree branches that were blown down by strong winds and had to be chopped into small pieces before being disposed of. The handle has a nice, comfortable feel to it, with rubberized parts for extra grip. I'm very pleased with the outcome!.

The blade is completely dull and rounded when it is delivered
3/5

NOT COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COMPLE It's certainly inexpensive, and the handle appears to be sturdy, but the blade is so dull when it arrives that it MUST be sharpened before use! br>br>The description claims it's "precisely" sharpened, but I've got butter knives that are sharper than this hatchet. br>br>Perhaps I got a bad piece by chance, and if they replace it with a better one, I'll update the review, but I can't recommend it as is.

Exceptional craftsmanship! The axe arrived in two days and was much better than I had anticipated for the price
5/5

The fiberglass handle is very ergonomic and feels very balanced and comfortable in my hand, and it comes with just enough edge to be safe (which is expected). It's up to you to shape it into the edge you want. It only takes a few minutes on the belt grinder to shave hair. Splitting kindling has never been easier with this tool. Look no further if you're looking for a long-lasting tool that will meet your high standards for a quality hand axe.

It's a hatchet, in case you didn't notice
5/5

Hatchet of Extremely High Quality. This is a fantastic tool, despite the lack of a wooden handle. I've been using hatchets, splitting mauls, 34 and full length handled implements since I was seven years old. Unless the material to be cut is excessively large, I prefer this type of cutting tool to chain saws. Clearing large logs with axes and hatchets before chain sawing is a good idea. (Splitting mauls are excellent for getting the sledge/wedge process started on straight-edged surfaces. ) wood with a grain Cutting and splitting wood with a variety of grain patterns is difficult, regardless of the tool used. Using a hatchet to begin log-cutting has proven to be beneficial. dividing responsibilities.
