The pros are The bag is a good price, it's sturdy, it holds the worm cup well, and it holds the beer can This rack does not mount to kayak rails. It is too big for a can. It wobbles slightly once mounted. As a result, there is a probability that this item is unable to mount to the rails on my kayak, but I was not sure whether it would be compatible despite reviewing the item in great detail. Although not designed specifically for cans, the cup holder is large enough to hold them comfortably. It does not spill over if you use a cozy or heater. After it has been mounted, there is a slight wobble of the cup holder. There is no effect on performance, but for those who are picky, it's worth mentioning. Since I didn't want to drill holes in my kayak, I mounted to a board and attached the board to the kayak with bungee cords before mounting to the kayak. The purchase is, overall, a good one. My favorite Scotty brand products are these cup holders and I am certain this is the best product available for kayaks at this price point. You'll love it!.
This is the design I used and trimmed off the top just a bit to fit flush on my Hobie compass. This worked beautifully. The plastic is extremely strong, and it is the hardest plastic to trim I have.

I used the screw mount into my dash. It has a sturdy cupholder and I screwed it into my truck's dash as a second cupholder, and it works superbly. To confirm, can be mounted from the bottom or from the side.
My kayak is so much better with this cup holder for the slots to hold jigs. The cup holder was drilled through the bottom of an old Scotty mount to enable it to fit in any Scotty mount and I hacked apart an old Scotty mount to mount it on a As it turned out, the adapter included was useless.
