Perhaps I should have installed the track that came with it so it would be more sturdy. did not want to drill holes in my kayak, so I decided to use the tracks that were already on it. No matter how hard I tried, the holder refused to tighten! As it wobbled, it landed on its side. A terrible turn of events occurred. Using the end of my rod to hold it in place, I had to put my leg between my kayak and my rod. Without a doubt, I returned the item as soon as possible. It was refunded to me. It fits right on their track if you don't mind drilling holes and installing their track, but it does not fit on most This is a very loose and wobbly piece.

The rod holder can be switched sides at any time, so I picked up an extra 4" track in case I need it for future upgrades. I could not believe how simple the installation was!.

This track holder is great for the track. I love the smaller size of the holder compared to the Yak attack, however the quick disconnect feature, which wasn't working out of the box, is a bit wimpy. The product seems to have a manufacturing or material flaw, so in order to avoid the trouble of returning it, I installed an O-ring that makes it work I like the earring around my ears, it Getting the O-ring attached is not a problem, but the holder will fall off without it An earring.

Products are amazing, Scotty has proven itself for years now, but the shape of this product is something else, it looks like someone had to drag it miles and there was no track for it, I am keeping it it seems to be fine, just looks like it was dragged along concrete.

My tracks fit perfectly with this item, but it doesn't have a quick release in good working condition. No matter if the lid is locked or not, it comes out. It hasn't been an issue since I don't do any trolling, but I will probably never get into trouble with this holder since I don't do any trolling. As far as I can tell, it's a much better design than the holes and rod holders built into.

It seems to work for fresh water but doesn't seem the strongest in the world. I like it so far and it seems to meet my needs so far. The only thing I dislike about it is that it doesn't fit spinning rods very well but it does the job. What I like most about this product is the fact that it's Made in Canada instead of China.
