My bass boat was originally equipped with wide, nylon rod holders, but I replaced them with The rods hold just as well, look better and do not get in the way so much as before. Despite the fact that the old ones served me well, the Velcro on them was worn out and I wanted something better. After you install them, you can unscrew and trim the end of the cord to your liking. However, you don't have to put too much pressure on the rods to keep them on the deck since the cord is not much longer than it was when it was new. There have been some reports of people breaking the eyelets, but I have not experienced this problem. In that case, you can go to Lowes or Home Depot and purchase a stainless steel eyelet to replace the broken one.
During use, the cord slipped out of the holder and the cord came apart. If you don't lose the end piece in the process, it should be easy to fix. Not fixing the problem will not make it go away.
My plan was to replace traditional bungee rod clips with these to improve the performance of A BIG MISTAKE was made. I can't use these because they have zero stretch and are useless. Because I didn't read the description carefully, I honestly can't imagine anyone using these for any kind of rod holding capabilities on a boat if there are no stretches.
Contrary to what you say, I believe. My first attempt at installing this product has been months in the making. I went in the garage within 24 hours, and one of the rods held by it Objects of junk.
Installing the product was straightforward, however the cord is very stiff and will not hold rods securely in place. In the original product, there was a better product.
Instead, I'll use a bungee because the material does not stretch.
The boat can be easily upgraded for more rod storage space at a low cost. The installation process is simple.
Replaces the factory one with this one. Perfectly what I was hoping for. The factory one on my 2017 bass tracker 175txw matches this one. There was only one person on the boat. A second one is needed for the other side of the boat, and this one will do just fine.
