You must ensure enough space between the side walls to get a good bite once they rotate both directions, as well as straight up
The pole holders attached to the boat are held in place with long clamps that resemble long screws. I don't know the dimensions of your boat, but wanted to share with you about them. The rust will damage them, so take care of them if you want them to
During my testing, I found that they tend to slip on pontoon boat rails. We do not recommend this.
Fish don't hit sideways if they hit from the side. If the holder is not properly attached to the grip, it will come off.

On one hand, the 2 Pack Fishing Rod Holders worked very well for me, on the other hand, the other one has not served me as well as I expected. As a result, the ring that secures the rod in place fell off into the water, never to be seen again, thereby rendering the rod holder Since the ring on the other holder has worked like a charm, it must have been defective. Upon contacting "Magic Hat", the defective rod holder was promptly replaced, at no charge, and promptly. It is definitely recommended that you check out this product and this.
We can mount these rod holders on the support beams of our dock because they are deep enough. It is evident that the plastic used in their construction could have been made stronger by improving the shipping by Amazon. One of them arrived broken because of poor shipping by Amazon. The height can be adjusted easily and they work well.
The flimsy plastic of the bracket allows it to pop off the side of the It would be fine for fresh water fishing and fishing for smaller fish, but not strong enough to hold a fishing rod while fishing in the ocean. The use of a 6oz weight 75' deep almost caused it to collapse and fall in.
Their clamp mount can be modified so that they can change the way the holder is mounted. It only has and a small knob on the threaded bar on the clamp, which is my only complaint. You may have a hard time loosening the unit if the unit shifts towards you. Although, I would not use that as an argument to not purchase this product. The shipping took a very short time, and the company was great to work with.
After using my boat for one time, the screws had rust on them. In their case, stainless steel or galvanized screws would have been more appropriate. The first of the two holders broke after only using five times (the main bolt was unable to be tightened properly) You have done this 8 times so far.
The product works as you would expect it to, but you must sand down every edge before using it. Rod grips trimmed from the factory will be sharp and will inevitably crack. The rod on the left is a brand new one, and that was mine! If you want to give all edges a once-over with a dremel or hand sander then you need to take the time to do that, and unfortunately it will alter the look and finish of the holder, but IMO better than ruined grips.
However, it cannot be mounted on metal rails that are square. Slips from time to time.
There are quite a few piers here in Florida where I fish, but I've tried a few rod holders and none of them worked on every So this one fits the bill. Having the ability to adjust the setup and angle it in different ways and attach it in various ways is a huge bonus. The dock fishing technology would be of great benefit to anyone who fishes from a dock or pier.
