Questions & Answers

Has the product undergone any changes as a result of the consistent complaints about the strap's weakness and design flaws?

It's been two years since I got mine. Twice a year, take it to North Carolina. I added a sonotube insert and a plywood divider 2/3 of the way down. Load it up with four rods, all tackle, bait, a fold-out chair, and a rod holder, and you'll have no problems. Get one.

Is the interior storage accessible from the end or through a side zipper, as in a duffle bag?

It's a fantastic idea. More akin to a duffle bag, in my opinion. It does, however, have a lot of pockets for storage.

I'm curious about the manufacturer of this bag. ?

It's worth noting that Asia is most likely.

Is my order still being processed? I never received mine; I placed my order on May 11th, and it is now June 22nd, and I am unable to request a refund. ?

Item arrived as described, in excellent condition, and was made of a heavy, well-made material
5/5

Before ordering, I read some reviews about the product and discovered that it is a tough but soft material. One suggestion was to buy an 8" concrete tube from HD and insert it inside to make it ridged, which I did and it works great. On the same day that I received it, I had already loaded it with my gear. My son and I will be there late in the morning if the weather cooperates. br>br>At the moment, I have 5 rods on the outside and 6 inside (all with reels), and there's enough room inside to fit another 6 or more with plenty of room to move around. I've got my rod holders in the outside pouch; it's amazing how much this thing can hold. br>br>** The concrete tube is a little tall and will need to be cut down a few inches to fit nicely. I installed a bottom on the tube to keep things from getting hung up or falling under it, and it can also be removed with everything intact to wash/clean if needed.

Excellent purchase
5/5

Go to Home Depot and purchase a concrete form, as others have suggested. I had to cut it to fit with a hacksaw. Then, for the bottom floor, cut a piece of 1/4-inch rubber. This is fantastic for me because I fish alone and require multiple rigs for various species (I fish in 9-foot tidal water). In Savannah, 10 feet means you have to be flexible, and if you break a line, your window to catch it may be small, so I use multiple rods to avoid stopping and rigging. I'm also a member of a boat club, so every trip I take involves a different boat. It's no longer necessary to hold four rods in one hand and carry them down to the dock. I wrapped the concrete form, which is made of thick cardboard, in plastic wrap so that it could withstand saltwater fishing. This is extremely convenient, and I no longer have to worry about my rods being knocked around. You'll spend about $30 on this once you get a form and rubber, but it's well worth the money and effort; highly recommended.

GOOD bag
3/5

However, it requires improvement in order to become EXCEPTIONAL. This bag has a great concept, but it's poorly executed. To make it EXCELLENT, there will be a LOT of work. It may be too much work for most people, but if you need bulletproof gear like I do while fishing, it's worth it. br>br>The materials are durable, but they lack reinforcements in high-stress areas caused by the design, resulting in ripped strap attachments, broken zippers, insufficient stitching, and other issues. This problem is common to all low-cost bags of this design because making it stronger costs $$$. br>br>I've included a list of the few clumsy changes I made to my bag to make it bulletproof and worry-free. 1. br>br> BAG WITH ADDITIONAL STRUCTURE: 8" concrete form tube was inserted into the hole To make a stronger bottom than just using an end cap, make lengthwise cuts at one end like flower petals and fold strips inward to overlap and bend them in to form the end instead of making a clean cut. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br AN ACCESS PORT HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE LOWER HALF OF THE TUBE: A 10"x4" oval has been cut into the tube's side to allow access to the contents via a side zipper. Duct tape was used to trim the tube's edges. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. REINFORCEMENTS ADDED TO SHOULDER STRAP: To distribute the stress, I sewed nylon strapping around the bag's body and down the shoulder strap attachment points. 4. br>br> WIDER SHOULDER STRAP INSTALLED IN PLACE OF THE OLD ONE PAD WITH MORE MEAT. 5. br>br> ADDITIONAL ROD RETENTION/COMPRESSION STRAPS ADDED for strength across the zipperbr>br>6 ALL SEAMS WERE DOUBLE STITCHED.

For fishermen, this is an excellent product
4/5

I gave it four stars because it went above and beyond my expectations. I really like this bag; no more fumbling with poles, baits, or tackle boxes for me. Now, let's look at the pros and cons: PROS: br>br>
- It's very simple to put 5 On the outside, there are six rods. br>- The interior space is quite large (see the disadvantages section)br>- makes it simple to handle fishing tackle, rods, and baitsbr>- has enough pockets to store more itemsbr>br>CONS: does not have enough pockets to store more itemsbr>br>CONS: does not have enough pockets to store more items While these aren't necessarily cons, I would have paid more for these additions if they had come with the bag: )
- To make the bag a stable structure, purchase an 8" concrete fill tube from Lowes and insert it inside. I divided the bag into two compartments so that I could access half of the contents without opening the side zipper, and the other half could be accessed through the side zipper. I keep the soft baits, hooks, and other tackle on the outside, and the less frequently used items on the inside. br>- I cut a 1/4" rubber sheet and glued it to the bottom of the bag for added stability and to protect the bag's bottom from abuse (if you fish a lot, this area can get abused). br>br>I've had it for a few months and love it. Because I don't put too much weight on it, the strap has lasted this long. Everything is still working fine if I haven't returned to add an update: ) Just go ahead and purchase it; you will not be disappointed!.

As pictured, with a large storage bag
5/5

I'm hoping things will get better. I like it; you can even store some of your camping gear inside! However, the band that we used to wear on our shoulders needs to be improved. Because it is possible that it will not cover your entire shoulder. (Which may cause discomfort) And everything else is good! It's something I'd recommend!.

It's ideal for on-the-go anglers
5/5

This was purchased as a present for our nephew. He's a first-year college student who enjoys fishing. He enjoyed it because he was able to cram everything in while they looked for the best places to visit near Texas State University.

It was a fantastic experience
5/5

It was a Father's Day present that I purchased. It was a fantastic experience. It was a Father's Day present that I purchased. He was able to store several fishing poles in it. It was simple to attach the poles, and it makes carrying them a lot more pleasant. He put a light folding chair inside to make it easier for him to go out on his own. He can now transport his poles and chair, as well as a small tackle box, in this bag. We ended up buying a second one as a gift after being asked where we got it so many times. The fabric is sturdy, and all of the straps have stayed in place so far. We were able to attach his poles to it in a matter of minutes. It's also convenient for transporting them. We can hang it by the strap and avoid having the poles roll around.

This was a gift for my boyfriend because we were always talking about it
5/5

This was a gift for my boyfriend because we always struggled to carry so much gear when we went fishing, and he loves it! He's got his two rods, a chair, and some fishing equipment in there, so he'll be fine.
