Questions & Answers

Is a D the standard width? What is the width of the wide?

Hello,br>br>You are correct, the standard width is a D. The difference in width between a wide and a medium width shoe is only about an eighth of an inch.

Is there a variety of them?

Although this color option is not available in a wide, the Saucony Peregrin 11 is available in a wide color option. Gravel/Black is the only color option available in a men's wide (2E) size.

What is the meaning of the name Jackalope?

Hello,br>br>It appears that the 'Jackalope' has arrived by mistake. These are Peregrine 11s in their most classic form. Thank you very much!

Selected User Reviews For Saucony Men's Peregrine 11 Trail Running Shoe

Love! Excellent cushioning, upper material, and a sophisticated color scheme! I bought trail shoes a few years ago to hike hard-packed or rocky trails in Southern California (I used to run but now prefer to walk/hike)
5/5

I received about ten pairs of shoes to try from various brands, and my favorites were the Peregrines (version 2 at the time), which supported my foot in all the right places while remaining a minimalist shoe. Years later, I replaced my Peregrine 2 with a Peregrine 8, which has since developed tears near the pinkie toe, necessitating the purchase of a new pair. br>br>Now that I needed a little more cushioning, I ordered the Peregrine 11 and Xodus 10 (both of which have the same 4 mm drop but offer a little more cushion and stability, though they are a little heavier). br>br>I just got the Peregrine 11 (the Xodus 10 will be here tomorrow), and I'm really enjoying it! The upper is slick and abrasion resistant, and it feels more cushioned than the Peregrine 8. I also like how the gravel/black color has a more understated design - very ELEGANT! br>br>I'll still compare it to the Xodus, but the new Peregrines have a great design and a better cushioned feel, so I'm hoping to keep them. I was so excited that I had to leave a quick review with my initial thoughts. The only thing I'd change is to have a speed lacing system (I liked the one on the Salomon shoes I got, but I rarely wear them because they're uncomfortable for longer hikes/runs). AFTER RECEIVING THE INFORMATION, UPDATED EXODUS 10 IN COMPARISON: br>I received the Xodus 10 and they are very comfortable to wear. Bulkier than the Peregrines, but even cozier and more comfortable. However, the colors on the Xodus are a little too wild for my tastes, and I discovered that Xodus 11 will be released on June 1st (according to Saucony). So, I'm thinking of keeping the Peregrine 11 for quick/easy hikes and getting the Xodus 11 (in all black, though I wish they were in a more muted brown or grey to be unobtrusive and not show dust/dirt as easily) for longer hikes (replacing the Merrell Moab 2 boots, which are designed for hiking but never felt as comfortable as even my Peregrine 8). br>br>As a side note, I'm really impressed with how the Saucony fit applies supportive pressure in all the right places, such as above the "root" of the toes - The toe box is wide enough that the toes don't feel cramped, but the tighter height where the toes spring out from the main foot body keeps unwieldy wiggle at bay. And just enough cushioning and responsiveness that I prefer their trail running shoes to dedicated hiking shoes from other well-known and well-reviewed brands. Well done, and I strongly suggest it.

Trail shoes in the mountains of North Carolina that are both comfortable and stylish
5/5

The shoes were delivered on time and in perfect condition. They appear to be of good quality and are extremely comfortable. I took them with me on a three-day hike and camping trip in the North Carolina mountains. They had excellent grip, and my feet were never too hot or wet. To keep your feet dry, I would suggest a good pair of not-too-thick socks. Although I've only had these shoes for a short time, they already feel and look fantastic. I'm used to ASICS running shoes, and these are just as comfortable, if not more so, thanks to the improved traction.

I got a pair of used shoes! Apart from the fact that they have clearly been worn, the shoes are in good condition
3/5

The bottoms are a little scuffed and dirty. They arrived in an Amazon box with no inner box and only paper wrapping, with no Saucony box. I ordered new shoes but received a pair that had been previously worn. A refund or discount, in my opinion, should be given.

This hiking shoe is fantastic
5/5

Although I am not a runner, I do hike in these shoes. I used to wear hiking boots that were always extremely uncomfortable. These are fantastic shoes. And it's also lovely. When compared to previous hiking boots, it feels less supportive but equally or more grippy and much more agile; I can feel the ground beneath me and respond to the terrain accordingly, and I can fit my toe into tight spaces for scrambling-type maneuvers. On rocky terrain, this can be a little uncomfortable at first, but you'll get used to it. br>br>This shoe is capable of handling even the most difficult terrain. I used it on a variety of hikes, including Breakneck Ridge and other Hudson Highlands trails. br>br>In terms of durability, it's held up well after six months and a few hikes, but I only go hiking a few times a year, so it's difficult to say how it would hold up for someone who hikes every week. I don't usually wear it on a daily basis because it's not as comfortable, but it's a good option for a long day of walking in the city or in a metropark. br>br>Note that Saucony shoes run a little small; I usually wear a size 9. Normally, a 5 would suffice, but in this case, a ten would suffice. Because I already own a pair of Saucony shoes in the same size, I knew to order a 10.

Running on the trails is a must-do activity
5/5

I was a little hesitant about spending over $100 on a trail running shoe that I planned to intentionally abuse. I tried all of the major trail running shoe brands, and my personal favorite was the Sauconys. I discovered that your foot shape has a lot to do with which shoe brand works best for you. If you consider them an investment in your hiking experience, they are well worth the money. Allows for a more comfortable and enjoyable hiking experience. They come highly recommended. 👌.

This shoe is more springy than previous versions, which could be a disadvantage
3/5

For years and years, I wore previous versions of these shoes. This version is very different from the previous versions, and I prefer the older models, especially in terms of appearance. I also believe that springy shoes can put older runners at risk of injury because they produce higher peak forces. I can't say for sure, but I'm not planning on purchasing another pair of these shoes. Saucony also upgraded the sole, which was by far the best I'd ever used. Although the new one has performed admirably thus far, the old pattern excelled at gripping without clinging to mud.

This is a fantastic trail shoe that also happens to look fantastic
5/5

My new Saucony Peregrine 11 Trail Running Shoes have exceeded my expectations. They were comfortable right out of the box, with just the right amount of cushioning and support. br>br>And because I wear my running shoes for leisure, they have to look good as well, and these gravel/black shoes look great with my jeans for a casual informal look when going out to dinner.

My all-time favorite pair of kicks
5/5

I like the way the shoe looks, as well as the tread and feel. I wear them around town and, while I can't speak to their suitability for trail running, I do enjoy walking in them.
