For foot problems, running shoes are the best option.
The AT Tread is a good fit for me. It's ideal for slick, muddy, or graveled surfaces that are compacted, hilly, or grassy. I have a lot of confidence in my traction on downhill and uphill trails. The fact that the tread does not become clogged with dirt is appealing, and it appears that dirt can be easily removed. I primarily hike on trails that are moderate to difficult. I believe it would be appropriate for moderate to advanced students. I've also walked with these on pavement. They're a little stiff for walking on the pavement. However, for me, the extra ankle support for the trail (uneven surfaces) is ideal.
In the last year, I've purchased two pairs of New Balance shoes in sizes 12 regular on Amazon. There is no shortage of options. 12m, 12d, or simply a 12 could be used in the listing.
I returned them because they were too short for me (I normally wear a 13 wide). The 15 is my pick.

I returned the first pair because the soles were so thin that they hurt my feet when walking on asphalt. The second pair was a size 9 4EE that I had worn for thirty years but returned because they were too small. I ordered a pair of 9 for the third time. 5 4EE They were way too short and bent my toes, so I'll try to return them. These issues are not attributable to foreign manufacturing. New Balance has lowered the quality of its products and removed quality control. I've been a New Balance customer for over thirty years. NO MORE.
Until my final pair of shoes. I purchased these from what I thought was a legitimate NEW BALANCE seller on Amazon. I can buy New Balance shoes online because I've never had to try them on due to their high quality in the past. In the past, their sizing has always been consistent. I noticed something wasn't quite right about these shoes as soon as I got them, but I didn't think much of it. I don't consider myself to be a "hard" on athletic footwear. That's something I keep in reserve for my work boots. The insoles completely disintegrated after only a few months of light use; I have a very similar pair that I wore nonstop for three years and they are in far better shape than these shoes. The exterior began to deteriorate, and the shoe laces had completely snapped in half. They resemble my previous ones in appearance, but they are much thinner and have a different stitch pattern and color. Is this a rip-off of a well-known brand? The photos I've attached show the difference between a shoe I've had for more than three years and these new ones, which are only a year old. Please keep in mind that after only two weeks, these began to fall apart. 3 months of low-intensity use The orange insole is 5 times thicker and in much better condition than the other, which is as thin as paper. The inside stitching is also coming undone (after 2 months)br>I apologize for the delay in writing this review, but the lace on the second shoe broke yesterday, and with it, my tolerance for these shoes. I've now replaced both the laces and the insoles from my (very real) older New Balance. If anything can be done, I'm not sure what it is. The shoe is too small for the ordered size. It was smaller than a Skechers US 8 when I ordered a US 9. br>br>The shoe's tongue is WAY TOO NARROW. Is New Balance making more money by reducing the tongue's width by a few millimeters? The shoe is far too narrow. br>br> I ordered a 4E, and if this so-called Extra Wide is this narrow, I can't imagine how a regular shoe would be. br>br>Order a half-size up, and extra wide will fit.
I've never had a problem with my heel slipping in. I've been sporting a New Balance 9 for a while now. Since 2005, 5 D has been a devoted customer of the brand. This pair has glue visible at all seams and has a cheap feel to it. NB's quality has plummeted since it was manufactured in Indonesia. They appeared to be knockoffs, to be honest. In a pair of New Balance shoes, my heel has never slid. These NB shoes would be better if they were 10 dollars from WalMart. People, this is terrifying! You do so at your own risk. This pair of knock-offs is being returned!.
These were just delivered to me. It was the perfect fit. I previously owned the 608s in the same size 10. I'm a size 5 4E, and those were the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. These are the same size as the ones I had previously. I'm a 320-pound man with wide feet, and these shoes don't hurt my feet at all after a long day on my feet.
I ordered a 13 4E in this shoe and was very disappointed. 13 4E was written on the box. 13 4E was written on the inside of the shoe. It wasn't even close to being a size 4E shoe. It was a small shoe. According to reports, the company's headquarters are in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were, however, made in a different country, in my opinion. Who else could create such an ill-advised shoe? I would have given it a four-star rating because it appeared to be well-made. However, because the shoe does not fit, it is impossible to predict how long it will last.
FITTINGS ARE VERY SMALL - I was fortunate in that I read the other reviews and purchased three sizes (10, 10) as a result. 5, and 11) in the hopes that at least one of them would work. I'm a solid 10 D in New Balance and have been buying them for years, but I'm an 11D in this style. Thank you to all of the other reviewers for their input.
Most shoe companies appear to have changed their sizing, as far as I can tell. In most brands, I used to wear a size 14, but in the last year, I've gone down a size. I've had to go down to a size 15 for the past 5 years. If you haven't tried on a pair of New Balance in the last few years, I recommend either going to a store and trying some on or going a size up and seeing if they fit better. br>br>The shoe itself is quite comfortable, and not much different from the 475s I've been wearing for a while. The fabric above the toes helps to keep you cool. The sole has good traction, and I'm confident they'll perform well in the dirt; hopefully they'll last as long as the 475s. Although the leather-like material appears to be a little cheap, I'm not complaining given the price.
