Questions & Answers

Is it possible to wear these sneakers if you have flat feet?

Yes! Because of my wide flat feet, my podiatrist recommended these shoes to me.

Is it true that these shoes are water-resistant? On wet grass, I'll have to put them on. ?

I don't believe so because there is cloth on top and around the shoes, but they are nice and I only wear them when it isn't raining.

Is this pair of shoes wide?

It appears that 4E is the widest option. That was the message I got.

What country do they come from?

Indonesian made. These are great, and they're very comfy.

The sole is slick
3/5

These were purchased to be used as a walking shoe, and they fit perfectly! They have a great look and feel to them. The only flaw in this shoe that I wish didn't exist is the slick tread on the bottom. It's not a big deal on normal pavement, but these shoes act like skates on wet pavement. With these shoes, climbing steep hills on wet pavement, as we do in Seattle, is extremely difficult. I've come dangerously close to passing out a few times, so I don't bother putting them on if it's wet or even slightly damp.

For the price, this is a fantastic shoe
4/5

The shoe is very nice. light and airy Should be able to run well on the trails. They do appear to be a little on the small side. I'm a 10 1/2 in my normal size. I think I'd be able to get away with an 11 in this shoe. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the shoe.

For wide feet, this is a great option
5/5

At our local store, we tried on shoe after shoe, but these were the only ones that fit. They only had one pair of shoes left, of course. As a result, Amazon sent me a second pair. I'll keep an eye on them to see how they hold up over time - The preliminary findings are positive.

The shoe is still fantastic
5/5

I've been wearing New Balance shoes for over 20 years and have never been dissatisfied with them. Some models/styles are superior to others, but (knock on wood) I've never had a pair of shoes fail me. I've had several 410s over the years, and they've all been fantastic. I don't always agree with the aesthetic choices or colors, but that isn't the primary reason I continue to purchase them. New Balance shoes are a great fit for my feet and offer a great combination of comfort, support, and performance.

I found exactly what I was looking for
5/5

The shoes are of good quality, and they help me with my flat feet. Overall, they're a great shoe. They cushion my knees so that they don't hurt as much after my runs, and they appear to be holding up well. I would recommend it to anyone who is overweight, has knee or back problems, and is interested in starting to run.

This shoe is ideal for people with wide feet
5/5

I've finally found a shoe that fits my feet well. Excellent grip. My only complaint is that the amount of dirt it can track in irritates my wife. Great shoe, and I'm glad I was able to get it in a large wide size because most shoes are too small for my wide feet.

I'm in need of insoles
4/5

I would have given these shoes five stars if not for the fact that the "cushion comfort" soles are as thin as a paper plate. The shoes are extremely comfortable when used with insoles.

For thru-hiking, this is a great, low-cost shoe
4/5

I've hiked the Arizona Trail and the Pacific Northwest Trail in these shoes (size 13 wide) and had no issues. I overpronate, suffer from metatarsalgia, and have very high arches, so I wear custom insoles. I put about 225 pounds on the shoes when they're fully loaded, and they usually last 400 to 600 miles before needing to be replaced. This hike takes you through streams, rocky washes, snow, mud, and other types of terrain, as well as pavement, dirt roads, and a pleasant trail. I probably could have pushed them a little further, but I didn't want to risk shoe failure out in the middle of nowhere. The sides of the shoe near where the forefoot flexes begin to tear are the most common reason for replacement for me. I like these shoes because they make me feel light on my feet (much lighter than Merrill Moabs), have excellent breathability (not waterproof, but feet dry quickly when wet), and are reasonably durable for the price; I've gone through about 8 pairs hiking over the last few years and they've served me well.
