It has a capacity of 178 liters when expanded. The compressed volume is 52 liters. The manufacturer's previous response is both inaccurate and deceptive.
Yes, there are three 178L packs for the price of one hundred.
IDK that.
Selected User Reviews For Small Pet Select Unbleached White Paper Bedding
Advertisement claims 56L - this is a misrepresentation. However, they claim that it EXPANDS to that amount, which is incorrect in our case. Clumpy, non-absorbent, requires 24 hour replacement, is dusty, and, worst of all, costs twice as much as comparable products that are far superior. STOP LIING ABOUT YOUR SIZE AND JUST BE TRUE TO YOURSELF. Small animals like hamsters and guinea pigs should not be given this product. Even when combined with higher-quality products to form a blend - This item is a complete waste of money. I will never buy from you again because you can get more of this low-cost stuff. Do not purchase Walmart's high-quality paper bedding for less than ten dollars.
Where do I begin, oh where do I begin?br>1. This is the ONLY paper bedding with a 99 percent dust-free guarantee that can be trusted. I clean the guinea pig room every day (including dusting), and no matter how careful I am, all of the other popular beddings end up dusting every single surface. br>br>2. Unlike the most common white paper bedding sold in pet stores across the country, this paper bedding sucks up into my Dyson handheld without constantly clogging it with solid clumps formed when peed on. SPS paper bedding stays shredded, which saves me a ton of time when it comes to cleaning. br>br>3. Unlike other major brands sold across the country, this paper bedding contains no harmful chemicals to help it perform. Which is a farce in and of itself because they are causing serious harm to the animals who are laying in it. 4. br>br> Small Pet Select was probably the best thing that ever happened to my guinea pigs when I first discovered it. They have an incredible selection and high quality of SAFE and healthy products. Using them, you could pretty much start and finish with everything you need. 5. br>br> They are a family-owned business that exudes the small-town feel of genuine concern for you and your pet. It's amazing how much they go out of their way to help you. Finally, just so anyone reading this knows, I have no affiliation with small pet select; I have never worked for them, don't know anyone who has, and I receive no benefit from leaving this comment. I'm just a regular guy from San Diego who adores his piglets and spends a lot of time making sure I don't get duped by products that are disgustingly advertised but are actually harmful to them.
There are bugs in two of the bags. I'm not sure if they're fleas or something else, but I'm not sure I want to bring them into my house and use them. This shouldn't be a problem at the price I paid. Very let down. I've ordered this type of bag before and it's been fine, so I ordered three at once this time and can only use one.
These companies are beginning to irritate me greatly. I used to use carefresh bedding but I stopped because the quality became inconsistent (change in texture and smell despite no change in labeling) so I switch to this bedding and Is there any kind of quality assurance?.
The bedding in this bag had a lot of 3/4-inch blue things in it. They have a melted plastic or tape feel to them. I'm not sure what they are, but I had to pick them out before putting this cage together for our pigs.
Although it is not as large as I had hoped, it serves its purpose. It was comparable to Kaytee in terms of cleanliness and coziness. It's very light, similar to kaytee, but more dense than carefresh. Because it's so light, my pig enjoys peeling off and gets it in his food and on the floor. It has the same odor as kaytee in terms of smell. I'm not sure if I'll buy it again because I assumed it was 178l compacted but it's spread out so it's about 58l I could buy three of the 80l kaytee for this price and get well over 240l compacted of kaytee clean and cozy white bedding. So the next time I order bedding, I'm probably going to go with the Kaytee clean and cozy white bedding.
By the next day, the cage has developed a foul odor. It is necessary to change the cage on a more frequent basis. Very light and airy. It can be found in any location. It looks great in the guinea pig cage, but not so much on the floor. Unfortunately, it is ineffective at reducing urine odor. It stank horribly the next day after the cage was changed. We're changing the cage more frequently now, which means we're using more bedding. I, too, was hopeful. I despise paying for that other, more expensive brand (kaytee), which isn't particularly good. After using this product, the guinea pigs' faces are covered in dust.
