It's not the original bedding, mind you.
I've used the natural before, and all I remember is that it smells like paper. I believe the scented version keeps the cage smelling fresher for a week, but I wasn't disappointed with the unscented version.
Cotton
My rats loved it, especially for burrowing, and I had no problems with it.

Buy. Perilous. Purchase is not recommended. It's deceptive to say it's safe. My poor hamster is in excruciating pain due to an allergic reaction. I'm glad I didn't try it. I was under the impression that naturally scented products would be safe, but they are not. Please consider your options before attempting.
Both of the guinea pigs became extremely itchy and kept sneezing! Scents are frequently allergens in guinea pigs, according to the vet, who advised against purchasing anything scented. This product should not be sold to people who own guinea pigs!.
Before making a purchase, do some research on respiratory issues or consult a veterinarian. I would give ZERO stars if I could, and I have never written a negative review before, but THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NOT BE LEGAL TO SELL IN THE FIRST PLACE. br>br>I noticed our hamster was breathing heavily and attempting to sleep in tunnels to avoid bedding 24 hours after changing the bedding in her cage. I tried to remove the bedding right away, but it was too late. We lost our hamster about 36 hours after I put the scented bedding in her cage. If you care about your pets, I recommend that you avoid using this product, and if you do, be prepared to bury them soon after. The odor is not worth the life of your pet.
There were no problems with people or animals. My bag was purchased from a local store in 2018. My fiance was suffering from a blocked nose. Only when he was at my house during the time I had this brand new bag of lavender soft bedding in my critter nation did he put his head on my chest. I completely remodeled my house (I'm OCD, so overhaul entails cleaning every nook and cranny). I was hoping it was just dust or something else, but it turned out to be something else. Early in the morning, I cleaned the cages and replaced a third of the bedding. Fiancée begins to cough violently. He was also wheezy. a project Due to breathing problems, he had to leave and sleep on the couch of his Work Shop Office at 130a. br>Needless to say, I changed the bedding after he left, and I'm staying away from Kaytee-scented bedding for the rest of my life. br>Unfortunately, I'll have to toss out $30 worth of bedding!.
With all of the negative feedback on this product, this company should be sued! This company has killed and harmed animals for the past ten years! Should be taken to court!.
This bedding is a hit with our guinea pigs. We use a variety of materials for them, but they prefer this for sleeping and in their huts because it is soft and has a subtle but lingering lavender scent. It does not go over well with my mouse. For him, I believe the scent is too strong. The 49. br>br> A good layer of bedding for half of a 6'x3' cage that is cleaned every 4 weeks should last about 8 weeks with a 2 litre package. 6 days. br>br>I've tried other crushed paper bedding, but Clean and Cozy (with or without the lavender) is the most comfortable. Keep in mind that the texture and scent may not appeal to all animals. Animals have preferences, just like humans.
My hedgies require a dust-free environment, so I'm glad I followed my better judgment and dumped it out. There are lavender pieces in it as well. It's not good for hedgehogs, but it can be for other animals if you do your research and the lavender smells strong enough to smell, which is great, but not for my hedgies. It's also a large bag for such a low price, which is fantastic. Thanks :.
My guinea pig might die as a result of this! We put it in his cage four days ago, and I noticed today that he hasn't come out of his hut, hasn't eaten or drunk, hasn't pooped, and his eyes are crusty. br>br>The only thing that has changed is the bedding, so I asked my husband to go get some regular bedding. In the meantime, he advised us to put our piggie in a hay-filled voc. While I was doing that, he went online and looked up some information. I noticed there was no poop in our poor little Franklin's cage when I picked him up. I took a close look at his underwear. He had tried, but he had been completely affected! br>br>I escorted him to the bathroom, where I used warm water and q-tips to clean him up. Things began to move after I gave him some suggestions to stimulate him. OMG! He unleashed a massive amount of energy! What about the odor? YUCK! And he didn't even try to stop it! Our once lively piggies are now lethargic, inactive, and in pain because he ate the bedding. It's heartbreaking to witness. He's the last of our beloved piggies, so I'm hoping he makes it.
