Questions & Answers

My horse's frog and sole were hardened as a result of using this product. Her spirit, on the other hand, hasn't changed. She refuses to accept Jesus Christ as her savior. I'm not sure how I'm going to get her out of this. ?

Paint his entire soul every day with turpentine, which you can get on Amazon for a reasonable price, and his souls will harden. TURPENTINE'S VENICE. Paint the entire bottom of his feet on a daily basis with the best stuff in the world. For the past 15 years, I've been trimming horses barefoot. RIDE M ANYWHERE, VENICE OF TURPENTINE rehabilitated 50 thoroughbreds from shoes to BAREFOOT TRAIL MOUNTS, RIDE M ANYWHERE RIDE THEM AS MUCH AS YOU CAN ON HARD, ROCKY GROUND. BAREFOOT WAS BORN.

Is there a formula for this?

Isopropyl Alcohol, Formalin, Iodine, Potassium Iodide, Tannic Acid, and Acetone are some of the chemicals used in this experiment.

Why aren't you going to show us the ingredients?

As a mother who dealt with a severe case of thrush while caring for a newborn, I strongly advise people to try gentian violet. I tried several treatments, including Rx, and this was by far the most effective. If everything turns purple, gentian violet is almost certainly the active ingredient.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be getting out of this - what happened to the white bottle? Are you looking for the original'see-through' bottle? Thank you very much! ?

Unfortunately, I believe that everything has gone to the white bottles.

Do you have a different recipe? DURASOLE is one of my favorite things in the world
3/5

I've been using it to help manage my horse's white line disease problem for YEARS. It's something I use on a regular basis, probably 1- I do this twice a week on all four of my horses' feet. br>br>I am very familiar with this product; it works well, but it leaves your hands stained purple for days. br>br>Having said that. Either I got a fake product or Durasole changed their formula completely with my most recent order. When I went to use it today, I spilled it all over my hand, but it didn't stain. It was very easy to remove. I spilled some on my hoof pick as well, and it didn't stain it. It didn't absorb as well as it usually does when I squirted it into my horse's frog. It beaded off like water and ran down towards my horse's toe, where it pooled. I then sprayed it all over my horse's hoof wall, as I do occasionally in the hopes of getting some Durasole into the holes created by the shoe nails, but it beaded right off and didn't turn it purple. My horse's hoof wall usually turns purple for about a week after I do this. I attempted to get the items to stay in place as they usually do. However, this is not the case. I'm not wearing any other hood products, so it's not causing any issues. The bottle appears to be the same, but the actual liquid appears to be more watery, leaving me perplexed and feeling like this was a waste. br>br>I'm dissatisfied.

The use of a blow dryer to dry pasture horses is not practical
3/5

The following are the instructions from the Durosole website:br>To Get the Best Results: Clean the foot with a hoofpick, paying special attention to the frog's lateral and medial sulcus, then wire brush the entire solar area vigorously. Before applying the product, make sure that your sole and frog are clean and dry. br> After completely drying the frog and sole with a hair dryer, heat gun, or similar tool, apply Durasole to the solar surface while it is still warm and disperse with a brush (old toothbrush) until the sole is uniformly discolored, the solar surface of the hoof is fully saturated, and product begins to pool rather than be absorbed. The end results will astound you! br> Carry on as before: Heat the wire brush, apply the Durasole, and spread it out with the brush until the solar surface of the foot is completely saturated. After two or three applications, your wire brush will begin to skid across the sole rather than roughening its surface, indicating that Durasole is thickening and swelling the exfoliating sole's cell membranes. As a result, a living pad has been formed. br> During the first week, repeat the above procedure at least six times a day. for the next two weeks, four times a day; Then twice a day for the duration of the horse's training. The outcomes will be immediate as well as long-term.

Durasole is a fantastic product for toughening up soft soles
5/5

Durasole has done an excellent job toughening up the soles of my horse. It's allowed him to go barefoot for the first time. I use a dobber to apply it to his sole, and it's an unbelievable product. My dobbers were purchased for a very low price on Amazon, and their original purpose was to apply dye to leather. Simply squeeze some Durasole into the dobber and wipe his sole with it. I like these dobbers because I can pick up his foot while holding the wire end in my mouth after I've already put the lid on the bottle to keep it from spilling. This stuff is a no-brainer. For about a week after a trim, I applied it every day, then every few days, and then I stopped. His feet have improved dramatically.

Watery isn't my cup of tea
3/5

It appears to be a bit of a mishmash. Review has been updated as of 8/7/21. The following is an update to the original review, which can be found at the bottom of this page: br>The price was good, and it arrived quickly, but I'm not sure why it was so watery. Was this a combination of things? It also didn't appear to stain as much as it once did. However, it appears to make the foot difficult, so it still works. Still a good buy, but it won't last as long as you'd like. br>RECENTLY UPDATED REVIEW: br>I'm in a lot of pain right now. I now have proof that this was a mixed bag. Today I went to the feed store and bought a bottle of durasole to compare it to this bottle. This is not only watery, but it also has a weaker grip on the bottom of the hoof. I used less of the product I bought from the feed store and rubbed it in with the toothbrush, which resulted in a purple bottom of the hoof. When compared to the one I purchased from the seller, it barely leaves a "tea stain residue. " I'm SO GLAD I bought some to compare at the feed store. This vendor should not be allowed to sell. They're sabotaging the product and misrepresenting an incredible brand, and I'm sure Durasole is furious. SMH. I'm curious as to WHAT THIS IS COMING INTO CONTACT WITH. Scary.

My farrier recommended it to me
5/5

My farrier suggested this to help my horse adjust to being barefoot in a new barn. My horse now walks normally on the gravel and ground around the farm after about a month of using this. Yay! It looked like he was always walking on lava before using this. br>Highly recommended if you want to toughen up those hooves.

I've tried a lot of different things for thrush, and this is by far the best! I tried everything else for thrush and nothing else worked as well as durasole
5/5

Even with regular cleaning out of their feet, thrush is a fact of life here in the Pacific Northwest, where I live in deep mud. When there isn't any thrush, I've started using durasole a few times a week to keep it at bay. Their feet appear to be in better condition than ever before, and the farrier is full of praise:.

It's not the same recipe
3/5

This appears to be a diluted version of the original. I'd been ordering this stuff from other stores for years, but I needed it quickly, so I ordered it from Amazon, which was a complete waste of money! You can't even see it on the hooves after 5 minutes. Hooves are normally stained for a short period of time and then washed off the skin. My skin is normally scrubbed with alcohol. So that leads me to believe it isn't effective, and if you're treating something like white line disease, you can't afford to use ineffective treatment because the disease will quickly take over the hoof.

For a product with warnings, the packaging is appalling
3/5

When I opened the sealed pouch, my eyes, nose, and throat began to burn. When using this product, it is recommended that you use a mask. The bottle was not protected and was sent in a pouch. Because the bottle leaked, the product was forced to sit in a sealed pouch in 80-degree weather. I can't believe something with warnings about fumes and skin and eye contact would be shipped in this manner. br>About a fifth of the product was lost in the leak. Thankfully, I was able to keep hold of it and did not drop it on the floor or on the counter. I'm not sure how easy it would have been to remove the purple wound from the wood.
