Excellent product; I will most likely order from you again. It was used to make this waterfall, and there were about four pieces left over. It's absolutely stunning and has completely transformed the appearance of my palladarium.
I purchased a box of the 1-pound cookies. 3" and 3- 5" and am very happy with both, though I must say that there didn't seem to be much difference in rock sizes between the two packages, so I'm not sure how they're measured/classified. Both orders were stuffed to the brim with more than the advertised 10 pounds of meat. (About a tenth of a tenth of a tenth of 5 and 10. 75 lbs. I believe I remember correctly). My shipments consisted of 12 and 16 rocks, respectively. One disadvantage was that the sawing process resulted in some of the rocks having unsightly smooth and perfectly straight sides. I, on the other hand, prefer jagged, uneven, and natural-looking edges. The rocks, on the other hand, were clean and of good quality, with some pyrite (i. e. Gold for fools). Overall, this is a fantastic product that comes highly recommended for aquascaping.
I'd buy more in a heartbeat. They were quick to ship, and the price was reasonable for what you got. This is an excellent item.
So, I was hoping to really enjoy these. br>Don't get me wrong, there are some great songs on that side A. br>br>However, even with two orders, you won't be able to complete a project. This should have been another 2 inches taller. br>br> br>So my complaint is based on the amount of money received from two orders. br>br>I was hoping to do a mountain cliff scape with these for a smaller tank, but I'd have to order close to 6 orders to do so, and let's face it, there are cheaper options elsewhere.
There's a great range of sizes and shapes to choose from. When wet, the surface has a lovely shimmering texture.
I had high hopes for these slate rocks, but they let me down miserably. They were three years old at the time. They're sharp and jagged, some are very thin, and they didn't stack well. They're 5 inches long but only about 2 inches wide. Because I was going to put them in my reptile's cage anyway, I sanitized them in bleach water, but due to the low quality slate, they developed a lot of rust spots. I wouldn't put these in a fish tank. I really wish I hadn't squandered $30:.
Not by a long shot! Make sure you don't throw your money away! What the hell did I just get? Rock shards, none of which were even close to 5-inches long. 7”. I've included photos of me holding some, as well as one with a standard Sharpie to serve as a scale. This is a disaster! Not to mention the fact that it weighs 5 pounds. 3 pounds! I'm irritated to the point of rage. I cannot use 90 of these in my 20 gallon for my Axolotls because I cannot use 90 of these in my 20 gallon for my Axolotls because I When I opened the busted up plastic bag they mailed them in, the amount of tiny, shattered pieces was insane. They literally exploded everywhere. These are not at all something I would recommend. It was horrible and a complete waste of money.
There are about 15 or so fish in this tank, all from Lake Tanganyika (cichlids), and it's amazing to see them pop out of little crevices I didn't even know were there. If you have aggressive fish, such as cichlids, it provides excellent hiding spots for each of them, particularly for those that are constantly on the move and/or fry. By the way, for those of you who are curious, the shells in front are for the neolamprologus (shell dwellers), a fun fish to have. br>br>Updatebr>Ordered a few more boxes this time, but the sizes were a little on the small side.
