It should measure between 5 and 8 inches in height.
Yes, absolutely! The ph of these stones is neutral, so they won't harm your tank. Even though they were washed before being packaged, it is a good idea to give them another thorough wash/scrub before putting them in your tank to remove any loose debris.
In my Cichlid tank, I have six of these slates. These rocks have had no effect on my PH levels, and anyone who knows anything about Cichlids knows that they are sensitive to low PH levels. The rocks have been here for about 6 months, and there has been no deterioration or erosion of the rock. With the algae, they look great. Sorry for the poor quality of the video.
In each box, we place at least 6 stones. There could be a few more, depending on the size of the stones.

I'm very happy with everything I got here. My stones arrived quickly, and I received six large, heavy, evenly colored rocks that perfectly matched the photos. They were all very flat, with their own distinct shape and personality. (There's always a risk when buying natural decor online, but I think this company went to great lengths to make things look as close to what they show in their photos as possible. ) )br>br>I washed each one because I intended to use them in a 55g aquarium design. There were no cracks, chips, or even dust when I looked. They look fantastic in my tank; the size I chose filled the bottom perfectly, as I didn't want to add height but rather fill in width, and I was even able to arrange them to create some small cave spaces. I even placed one vertically to make it look like a small mountain and provide a hiding spot for my fish. (Since my substrate is sand, shifting hasn't been an issue. ) )br>br>Underwater, the color is even more vivid. Beautifully black in contrast to my white sand, and my pH has remained unaffected, as it should be with slate. br>br>I'm so happy with them that I'm going to order more to try to add even more visual interest and hiding places for my fish in this particular tank. Last but not least: br>br> I did try to get around Am- zon (cause, ew) and order directly from this seller's personal website, but I discovered that Am-Zon's prices were actually slightly lower. zon. That surprised me because I had expected them to account for Am- I was hoping that zon would include their pricing here (as a former small business owner), but I guess not. I couldn't afford the price difference, but I figured I'd mention it in case they read reviews. Some of us would prefer to support small businesses, but obstacles like these keep many of us from doing so. That, as well as the unquestionably strict incentives Am- Those who sell here are given/forced to ship faster than they might on their own websites. I understand that as a business owner, but as a customer, I expect things to be delivered quickly and inexpensively. As an ethical human being, I strive to strike a balance between my personal desires and what is right. Oh well. br>br> Rocks are cool!.
I was overjoyed to discover the extra large slate, but I was disappointed when I opened the package. I was surprised that the xl rocks were only about 2 inches wide; I believe the description is deceptive; yes, the rocks are in the 8 to 10 inch range in length, but only length. I received two rocks that were exactly as described and shown in the photo. Slate is typically flat and wide, allowing it to be stacked to create coves and caves, as shown in the photos. These rocks are misshapen long fat chunks that are unable to be stacked. Perhaps I just got a bad box, but getting one of these long, narrow rocks would be nice, but the entire box is a rip-off. I'm hoping to figure out a good way to position these, but I'll have to go to the local fish stores to get more slate like the one in the upper left corner of the photo so I can actually build a decent looking structure in my habitats. Based on other reviews, this appeared to be a good value. I did find one review with an experience similar to mine, but assumed it was a one-time occurrence or that I had the same bad luck as they did. I'm curious if the majority of the positive feedback stems from the smaller size boxes, or if they've exhausted all of the good assortments and are now only sending the leftovers.
I strongly advise you to do so. For my 1k koi pond, I've struggled to find flat rocks in the woods and along the side of the road. I needed a lot for my pond decorations. I'll be ordering a lot more for my two fish aquariums as well.
I never expected to be so impressed by a box of rocks. I placed multiple orders for various sizes. Each box was well-packaged, plentiful, and looked even better in my 55 than I had anticipated. This excellent seller also delivered promptly.
This was a lot less expensive than going to my local store and buying stone. The stones were just like they said they would be.
Absolutely stunning! It's one of my favorites, and our pets agree! I would highly recommend this product and would buy it again.
Unfortunately, I had to return them due to COVID delays, but I now regret not keeping them! Unfortunately, I had to pay for return shipping, which was inconvenient because I ended up losing money on a product that I did not keep.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I use these to provide a basking area for my ball python, as well as a small cave underneath for him to hide in. It's absolutely fantastic. Yeah.
